Whenever I called with questions, the triage nurse would help me or not hesitate to send a nurse over to assess the situation. All of the medications were delivered to my front door. Suncrest Hospice blocked my phone number, effectively avoiding accountability for their corrupt administration. I want to clarify that my concerns are not about the nurses or CNAs; it is the administration that is entirely corrupt. I urge everyone to request their medical records and read every detail carefully. The lies, misinformation, immaturity, and irresponsible behavior I encountered were unacceptable. I am a 58-year-old daughter who lost my mom, and instead of offering support, they made my grief and panic even worse. I do not recommend this organization because of the administration--particularly people like Timothy Dance--not because of the dedicated nurses and CNAs involved in my mom's care.

My sister and I have been meaning to share this for a while…read more Our family is so happy for the love and care we received from Suncrest Hospice during my mom's last days. They were the only ones who truly heard me and my sister who made us feel seen, supported, and special during the hardest time of our lives. David Cheesman, the nurse practitioner aka Dr. Dave , was incredible. Jessica, Lisa Avers, and Sherry, every single one of them treated my mom with such love & dignity. They walked beside us through the worst of it and gave my mom the most peaceful, comfortable final days we could have hoped for. The entire Suncrest Hospice team even called us after Mom went to heaven to check in on us and make sure our kids were ok. Sadly, I also have to share that our experience with Journey Care (under its new ownership) was incredibly difficult. We were not listened to, not believed, and felt completely unseen which led us to make a HORRIFIC transfer to Suncrest just five days before she passed. We had to go to upper management of Journey Care and file all of our complaints to have everything investigated, but we never heard back from any of them after they found out Mom had passed away. That definitely shows their true colors. But as hard as that was, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Suncrest came in and truly saved the day. They brought peace to chaos, comfort to pain, they honored my mom in her final moments. We will never forget that. Thank you, Suncrest, from the bottom of our hearts. & shame on Journey Care! Please remember that most hospitals will automatically refer to Journey Care, but you have a voice, and you can intervene to request any Hospice you wish & our family would highly recommend Suncrest. We're hoping this post could help others in similar situations in the future so they are saved from the disappointments of new management of Journey Care & helped by Suncrest!

I found custom home care while researching help for my neighbor when he was released from rehab…read more He is 83 and needed daily care after bad fall. I called a variety of agencies but once I connected with custom it just felt right. Sheila scheduled a visit while in rehab and then home visit before he transitioned home. Their advice, reccomendations and everything has been stellar. They are able to accomodate needs quickly and have a large, excellent pool of caregivers. They were able to provide male caregivers as well which was a major plus. We have used custom for about 4 months now and it only gets better. The caregivers have ALL been professional, knowledgeable and people you feel very comfortable leaving alone with my neighbor. Each one has been outstanding in keeping me informed and I know my friend is watched out for and safe. If you researching these options I understand how stressful and discouraging it can be. Its a very difficult process but I can assure you that custom has exceeded our expectations. Highest praise and highest respect to EVERY one I have talked to at custom home. They amount of stress that has been removed knowing we chose wisely is the most wonderful feeling ever.

I am a current resident who's been at Bella Terra Wheeling for a little more than thirteen months. I have seen Mike, Kandi, Nikki, Yesenia, Jocelyn, Fran, and Michelle work very hard to keep this facility running. Many of the nurses and CNAs provide good support to care for the patients at this nursing/rehabilitation home. I have seen the staff as a team handle multiple situations to provide care and comfort for the patients. I also want to say that I am impressed with the Activity and Receptionist team members as they provide more layers of assistance and cohesiveness to help form a strong employee base. One of the benefits of living and recuperating at this facility is that the meals are decent. I lived at another home before transferring here and the food is actually much better. I get meals with chicken as the main course far more than I used to at the previous rehab center. And I get fresh salads more often as well. Bella Terra Wheeling also has staff members in place to help with setting up doctor appointments and transportation. For an independent person like myself, I don't utilize all of the services available but I am very glad that many residents do have access to these benefits. I want to close out my review with a huge thank you to each and every staff member for being patient and understanding with me and many of the residents as caring for us can be quite challenging at times. I was so hesitant on leaving her at Bella Terra as I did not know anything about her condition which was Dementia and Bella Terra. I had no clue how to take care of my mom as she was uncontrollable and hard to reason with. I am also a really hard person to deal with as I fight for every living breath for my family and try to prolong their life as much as I can. I want to say Thank you to Angelina, my lovely angel nurse Daisy, nurse Raj and many more nurses and CNAs that took care of my mom. Daisy you of all people I owe a huge apology to by not cooperating with you especially. You guys saw my mom slipping away to cancer and dementia and I tried to fight for her life and I was wrong. Hospice gave her freedom and relief from her pain and I tried to hold on and gave grief to you and Angelina. You guys were angels to put up with me. God bless you both as you truly are beautiful people inside and out. Daisy I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care onf my mom. Bella Terra not only cares for their patients , their nurses go above and beyond for caring for people with dementia and help bring their life to reality. Every visit I saw big involvement with patients from care, food service, entertaintment, physical therapy. These patients would not have a life at home the way they get cared for at Bella Terra. Capital Hospice provided in-home care for our Mom this past July. Mom at 95 was diagnosed with…read morestage 4 cancer. Once she made the decision to be at home with family we called Capital Hospice. Capital immediately provided equipment, hospice nursing, medication and a twenty-four call line. We are so grateful for the attention of care that Mom and the family was provided- even a visiting Chaplain on the morning of Mom's passing. Candace and Benjamin of Capital were the angels that enabled us to safely meet Mom's needs.
