Having lived in a home w/mold, we knew to call for inspection before letting the plumber open the wall to find the source of the leak. Having done business with Healthy Homes before, with an extremely successful outcome, we called immediately. Healthy Homes was out quickly to investigate the problem. Since the leak originated on the upper floor, investigation had to be performed on the downstairs ceiling, up through the second floor, and finally behind the bathroom drywall. Most importantly, was the fact that George and Meg were aware of the fact that I'm immunodeficient and were very particular every step of the way since I've been exposed to mold in the past. Every step of the way we received photos, the insurance company was happy to be working with a leader in the industry, and although it took some time to find the leak, remediate the existing property, and then work and direct the contractors, we were kept up to date every step of the way. HH performed all of this while we were in AZ hiking for a holiday. We cannot stress the importance of a qualified and certified mold inspection organization with business longevity, extremely knowledgeable employees, and owners who are willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. What an outstanding job and the attention to detail with preserving our antiques and specialty paint finishes. Everything detail was important!!! Not to mention the willingness to work with the insurance company, who was at times, was difficult. So appreciate Healthy Homes and would give HH the highest performance rating!!!

He identified the leak and corrected the problem that day. Additionally he went above and beyond to ID where the water had caused damage and where I had potential mold. He immediately began mold remediation that stopped the problem and began corrective measures. He then worked with me to schedule a time when I was traveling for work to come back and replace my cabinets, kitchen flooring and replace the insulation in my basement crawl space. This was big concern for me because I have a dog and the work would have made him anxious. Ryan scheduled my work in the middle of a personal project he was completing. It was not convenient for him but he knew it was the best for me and made it work. He got all this done, as he promised, during the 2 day period I was out of the house. I came back to a new floor and mold free kitchen and crawl space. As a bonus, he noticed my storm door had broken and fixed that for me without me ever mentioning it or asking him to do it. Finding a reliable home inspection and repair company seems to always be a guessing game. However when you hire Ryan you can be assured that the work will be done correctly and on time. He is sensitive to any special concerns you have (I.e. scheduling around your schedule) and makes sure the work is done properly even if it means going above and beyond what was discussed. I am thankful to have him to call for my home concerns. ** also I saw Ryan drive down my street several times and he does not drive in the manner the previous reviewer described. The entire team at Detroit city sweep Is awesome. From…read moreupdating, maintaining and servicing 3 fireplaces in a historic home to helping us vent our kitchen stove in our hearth the entire team from quoting to scheduling to actual work has been wonderful to work with. The first thing I noticed right away is they actually answer their phone when they call so that was already a plus for me. I was able to schedule an estimate quickly and get someone out to help us address our main issue which was our kitchen not venting correctly, in addition to a fireplace that we would soon need because of the cold Detroit winter. As a new homeowner, we did want to make sure that the fireplaces were in good working condition before we actually started using them so we requested a estimate on what the service and maintenance could potentially be for the fireplaces that we had in our house and any recommendations that they would have. The process was very straightforward. They easily walked us through the quote and what was needed and why, in addition to what the current condition of the fireplace was in to what would need to be done and how it would fix the problem as well as what comes after the service what could be expected what they would be able to help us with should we come across any hiccups after the fireplace maintenance and what warranties came with the products that we purchased. We purchased dampers some gas fire logs, and had our fireplaces updated so that we could use them last winter. From there coming this winter, we assumed that we would have to have the fireplaces serviced again because it was a new year, though we only had a handful of fires in the living room fireplace they scheduled the appointment. They were prompt and scheduling, as well as coming out for service and transparent enough to say we haven't used our fireplace enough to fully warrant a cleaning. This was refreshing to see this type of honesty from a contractor. Then we ended up having an issue with the smoke coming into our house on our serviced fireplace. They were able to address solve an analyze, the reasons why the smoke was coming in to our living room, though everything looked up-to-date and ready to go. It was next level problem-solving skills that they would rarely run across because of the unique fireplace that we had in our Historic house. It was very appreciated that they did not just give up and ask us to spend a gazillion dollars to throw money at a problem. I highly recommend Detroit City sweep for the professionalism the availability, and of course, the quality of the work.

Instead of replacing all the windows around the house like all the window selling people are telling us, Rob offered to fix the windows for a much better pricing. We are so happy with the result we asked them to remodel our three bathrooms. Again, their quote was better than the other 8 companies we compared with. Their timing and flexibility was better as well! Throughout the process of bathroom remodeling, they were extremely helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. From picking tiles and helping us with the pickup (usually pretty expensive), to going out of their ways to seal cracks for us on the wall and hanging paintings for my mom. They even offered to walk my dog when they were working with us. They are excellent at what they do. See images for the before and after of the bathrooms. We love our 3 bathrooms now. They were able to accommodate everything we asked them too. Including changing old electric outlets, adding a shower in the guest bathroom, and switching the vent to a heated vent. They even helped to fix my kitchen sink that a plumber failed after trying for 3 days! They are also honest people. I did notice a cracked window and Rob immediately ordered a new one and covered the cost. So they do honor their warranty on their work. Overall, would highly recommend them for their excellent work, very fair pricing, and being such good nature people!
