When I purchased my home 10 years ago we were told we would need a new furnace within 5 years. When…read morethe time came we searched for a local company to install a new furnace. When we called Platinum Home Service I was put in touch with Jeff. We spoke on the phone for quite sometime as I had lots of questions for him. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of my questions without hesitation. At the end of the conversation we setup an appointment for him to come to my house to give me a price for the new furnace. He arrived on time and was very professional. After we came to the conclusion of which furnace we should use he gave me the price. Without hesitation we agreed to use them as our installer. The process was easy they came to the house and installed a high efficiency Goodman furnace accompanied by a Nest Thermostat. It has been 5 years and the equipment has been working flawlessly and with the high efficiency furnace coupled with the new thermostat our gas utility bill has dramatically decreased. The unit has paid for itself. Now we are in the process of having a central air conditioning unit installed and guess who is doing the work ????? I would recommend them to anyone they are clean, courteous, and very knowledgeable and do excellent work.

I had a service appointment with Platinum Home Services on July 30th, with an arrival window of 8…read morea.m. to 12 p.m. Before the appointment, I was told the service would take about two hours. Based on that, I scheduled two appointments for later that day. When the technician had not arrived by 10 a.m., I called the office for an update. The employee who answered was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Rather than addressing my reasonable questions about timing, she raised her voice and insisted that I could not leave the technician alone in the house. I explained that someone would remain at the house, but she wouldn't be able to answer his questions, and I was simply trying to determine when the technician would arrive. When I politely asked her not to raise her voice, she denied yelling but continued in the same raised and dismissive manner. Because of the uncertainty and the delay, I had to cancel my first appointment, which cost me $200. The technician finally arrived at 1:10 PM, later than the window they gave me. Before I left for my second appointment, I specifically asked the technician to call me before leaving my home so I could discuss the work and ask a few questions. Someone remained at the house while the service was completed, but the technician left without contacting me as requested, leaving several of my questions unanswered. Four days later, I still had concerns, including a text message stating that my furnace filter was "very dirty", even though I had replaced it less than a month earlier. When I contacted the office again to ask about this, I spoke with the same employee. Rather than addressing my questions professionally, she became argumentative, asked irrelevant personal questions about whether I had pets or ongoing construction, and repeatedly insisted that my brand-new condominium was an old, dirty house, even after I corrected her. Overall, my experience with Platinum Home Services was very disappointing. While the technician completed the work, the scheduling process was frustrating, communication was poor, and my interactions with the office staff were consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Platinum Home Services.
