What I don't understand is all the negative comments about Chester Bath & Repair on this site. All…read morewe've ever known from them is top-notch service. At first, we hired Thomas Roberts and his crew to renovate our master bathroom. My dad has disabilities and we needed to adapt the bathroom, which is small, to his needs. We had numerous meetings with Mr. Roberts on what we needed, my parents spent about 3 hours at his shop picking out tile and fixtures, and he put up so many safety bars and made the bathroom so accessible that dad, who mom and I have told not to take a shower without one of us being home, has been caught doing that numerous times. I wish I had before and after pictures to share, but CBR did a wonderful job with a small master bath. One night during the renovation we had a leak; Mr. Roberts couldn't come, but he sent one of his employees back who promptly figured out the problem and fixed it. CBR has become our around-the-house/fix-it go-to. They're not only bath and kitchen...they are everything in between. Our pool steps down to the backyard got crushed when a tree fell during a wild thunderstorm. Mom fought with the insurance company and the contractors they use until Mr. Roberts said, "We can fix those steps for you". It's a whole lot better than what used to be there in the first place (i.e. old rickety rotten wood). The last time Mr. Roberts was at the house was a Saturday morning. Yes, you read that right. Saturday. We needed some pool tiles replaced and it was the first nice morning so he decided to get some work done on a weekend. Afterwards, he and mom sat down to discuss replacing our front door, which is in desperate need, and we've been talking about it for awhile. Mom decided to bring up the kitchen microwave which has been broken for 2 years, and he promptly called a guy he knew who could help. That's the thing about Mr. Roberts...if he can't fix it he always "knows a guy". He even met my mom at a showroom to look at front doors with her and went to Home Depot with her, too! He's become a big help because of my dad's disability, putting up more bars and things around the house to make it easier for Dad to move about. Mom & I have taken up fixing things around the house, and Mr. Roberts has been helping us understand what to do...and teaching Mom how to unclog a toilet. After we conquer the front door, we are attacking the other upstairs bathroom which is an ungodly shade of brown and yellow...I can't wait! He has become our "family contractor" and I know we will have more jobs for him down the road.

I thought about Tom (Chester Bath and Repair's) Thomas Roberts, because he did some repairs in my bathroom last year and was really satisfied about the outcome so called him and responded right away. So satisfied with the work, the cleanliness of the job. Love my new toilet and bidet. I will recommend his company in no hesitation for a repair and renovation. Thank you Tom! Be healthy and be safe. Giving him 5 stars for a job well done! See you in my next project.

His layout ideas were so smart--we never would've come up with them on our own. He and his team also installed LVP flooring throughout our apartment, and it looks amazing. Every detail was done with care and precision. From day one, Alex was incredibly responsive, respectful, kind--and truly honest. His pricing was exactly what his business name promises: affordable, with no surprises. You can tell he takes real pride in his work, and his team does too. We were nervous going into the project because you always hear horror stories about working with contractors, but this experience was the total opposite. We feel so lucky we found him. We trust him completely and will 100% be calling him again for future projects. Highly, highly recommend!

It's right around the corner from his work and many of his coworkers have used Mendoza and we're happy with them. We stopped out on a Saturday afternoon. The young lady was very helpful and gave us a lot of information, including pricing upfront. We went out back to find a slab and she was patient with me as I insisted at looked at every slab and ended up picking the first she suggested. We selected our edge cut and sink type and wrote the contract. The installers were just as efficient. They showed up on time to measure and install and worked quickly and professionally. Since we were going to a below mount sink, they even suggested we move our water turn offs so we could still access them after! Very helpful! We are so happy with our new counters!

I went in looking for a piece of marble for a shower seat I'm building. The lady, who later told me…read moreshe was the owner's mother, was very helpful in showing me all the types of marble, and going through pricing with me. She estimated $180 plus tax. I told her I would email her son to confirm order. I emailed Lucas Olivera the interaction I had with the lady in his showroom and all the details of my needs. He thanked me for my business and sent me an estimate for a little over $200. I didn't mind it much. The estimate also stated "the color I have is pure white quartz." Colors have strange names so I paid no mind and in later emails I always referred to the piece as marble. He ignored my wording and from there on referred to it as "the piece." I asked for pictures to make sure it was what I wanted, but when I realized he was never going to send them I put the order in anyway. I went to pick up the piece to find he had made it from engineered quartz. I hated it. I couldn't take it. He told me he stated quartz, so I looked back on the emails and saw how he had worded it. Thinking it was a simple misunderstanding, I asked if we could do the piece in marble like I've been asking from the very beginning. He emailed me that marble is more expensive and would be $430. What a waste of time! First he makes my order in whatever he wanted ignoring my request, charges me the same amount his mother estimated for marble, and then tries to charge me over double the price. I went to Rockaway Granite and Marble $160.
