Al had previously done some minor electrical work for me and completed renovations for my neighbors, so I already knew he was reliable. When I spoke to him about my basement, he offered thoughtful suggestions that completely reshaped my vision. The basement was originally finished by the previous owner back in the 70s--dark paneling, Berber carpet, stucco ceiling, and a stairway covered in sand paint. It's my family/TV room and updating it has been on my wish list since buying the house, but I never knew where to start. Al made the entire process easy and inspiring. Now, the space looks absolutely beautiful. It has fresh vinyl flooring, crisp white wainscoting, soft grey walls, a clean white ceiling, and new grey carpet on the stairs. Even the sand‑painted stairway was transformed with wainscoting and matching grey walls. Al also enclosed the furnace and water heater in a ventilated room making access so much easier. My Christmas village houses, which used to sit on open shelves, are now neatly stored in a long-enclosed closet at the back of the basement. The result is stunning--my basement looks so good that it makes the rest of the house feel outdated. When I'm ready to upgrade the living room and dining room, I'll definitely be calling Al at Ramada Construction again. Highly recommend!

Today we got a call saying the salesman didn't know what he was talking about and the supplies they were going to use would be the worst thing for it. Then the guy proceeds to tell me he'll replace the shingles on the main roof and the side roof for an ADDITIONAL 2k! The shingles don't need to be replaced. The structure to the side roof had the problem. They also wanted me to replace a ridge roof that was installed 3 years ago! We have a ridge roof and an exhaust fan. They see a woman and think she knows nothing. Be careful! ​

Here are the facts: We hired this outfit to remodel our bathroom. After three months of mistake making, not showing up, and firing every subcontractor he employed-- we parted ways with the job unfinished. Subsequent contractors were shocked by the horrible quality of the work and lack of finish craftsmanship. Suffice it to say that several months later, our new contractor had to re-gut and start over most of the work. Thousands of dollars of cabinetry had to be replaced. Basic common-sense things were overlooked and ended up causing both aesthetic and functional problems. Our new contractor and electrician still share pictures of Hardman's work as examples of what not to do.
