Meanwhile, my two kids were treated with sealants on teeth that DON'T NORMALLY get sealants - this is dishonest! Of course, we had to pay up, over $300 worth. Dr Boyce greeted me and told me what to expect with my appointment and addressed any questions I had. All of the staff, from the office manager to dental assistants and hygienist were so friendly and were able to ease any hesitations I had. I was in and out of the office in under an hour which was great! I was also happy to learn Dr Boyce is a Lees Summit resident. I felt appreciated as a patient and that my time was valuable. There were no high pressure sales tactics or guilt for not having been to a dentist in a while like I have experienced elsewhere. I'm not sure why I put it off so long. I will definitely be back to see Dr Boyce for my next exam!

I was immediately impressed with Dr. Herre's knowledge of TMJ. He also teaches other dentist how to treat this condition so I would consider him an expert. Dr. Herre made me a bite splint and at first, I will be honest, the expense was really hard to swallow. However, when you consider that the hour long follow up visits (all included) for weeks and weeks afterwards, it really makes the cost more understandable. Anyway, I have had my bite splint for 5 weeks now and the proof is in the pudding. I went from someone who spent probably 10 days a month in bed with migraines to being nearly headache free. Before I also had other symptoms like not being able to chew foods, ear pain, facial pain and all of it has disappeared. My husband is thrilled that I'm not tired all the time anymore. I cannot say how pleased I am with the results so far.

I have had the same Hygienist, Fern, for as long as I can remember, Louise has greeting me since I started going there and I appreciate the family atmosphere of the practice. Their staff is obviously loyal for a reason. They are a great bunch of people. My entire family sees the Herre's. Over the years I have gotten sealants, fillings and broken teeth removed on top of my regular visits and I have always felt at ease. I am never intimidated and as Dr. Scott will tell you, I never cried! It's a nice treat to go to what is usually a dreaded experience and actually sort of enjoy myself and feel cared for.

Then not even four months later two additional fillings cracked and failed, falling out and leaving me in pain embarrassment and additional dental bills as result. I would not recommend this office for any reason and will be filing a dental malpractice complaint with the KS Dental Board as well as a personal injury attorney. I would advise people that this office did something I think everyone should know, which is they submitted the claim to my insurance for payment twice. Thankfully insurance denied the second claim preventing them from filing multiple claims for the same work. The refuse to take responsibility for their poor work and will blame the patient or another dentist without any thorough evaluation and will say that his work is perfect when in fact multiple at least three at this point have failed in major ways, exposing the interior of the teeth. I have filed complaints with my insurance company who has started an investigation as well as will be submitting a complaint to the KS Dental Board for review and have contacted a dental malpractice attorney. This has been a major issue that his office and himself have tried to deny and leave my initial tooth that he worked on and failed exposed as a result. I have suffered pain, embarrassment, loss of income due to additional work needed to fix his mistakes. Under zero circumstances would I ever recommend going to this office to anyone for any reason, not even a cleaning at this point. When a provider knows they are at fault and wishes to not accept responsibility that is a major red flag that should worry anyone that has had work done by this dentist. I feel bad for his son, who probably does decent work, but due to his fathers negligence this office is gaining a very negative reputation. The initial process felt rushed, and when I called out some imperfections immediately after his work, he said that it was normal, which is was not. He has cost me a lot from my loss of time, income/wages, personal embarrassment, pain in my exposed teeth and jaw at times, and completely missing fillings that he did and again tried to bill my dental insurance TWICE for the same work. DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE.

His office was able to fit me in as a standby on 2 separate occasions. The staff are friendly and very caring. They checked on me after my procedures to make sure I was okay and healing properly. Sadly, I was already thinking of finding a different place because her staff are unprofessional. This was confirmed last week. I couldn't remember my appointment because I usually depend on a text notification confirmation. I didn't get the text until after I called. I called 24 hours in advance to learn it was the next day but I already knew I would need to reschedule for the following week. The lady on the phone wanted to know "what was going on" that I could not come and would just cancel my appointment. Why do you need to know this and why won't you just reschedule? I learned that I would be billed because I did not cancel 48 hours in advance. That's fine however, It doesn't make sense to send a text notification 24 hours in advance when your cancellation policy is 48 hours in advance. You should maybe send it 48 hours in advance so people will know the policy and not get billed when you have not provided a service. That's TACKY!

Dr. Taylor Sutherland is also one of the nicest dentists I have seen in my 70 plus years on this earth. Her concern for her patients is remarkable and she has a way of making you feel like you are special even when you are being a little challenging. In response to some of the previous reviews regarding payment of dental services, I would like to say that several times when I was given an estimnated cost of service, the actual fees were less than originally stated. I was not asked to pay the original amount and then wait for a refund. I was asked to pay the adjusted amount (which was a nice surpirse to pay less than anticipated.) As a senior citizen, I would recommend Dr. Moore and Dr. Tayhlor Sutherland to anyone who needs a little extra patience when having dental work performed.

This review is not one of those. This one is FIVE STARS, capital letters, no concessions. Dr. Wooddy, his staff, and their dental business is one of the sure things in my life! I've been going there twice a year (in a good year...more if my teeth aren't acting right!), for 14 years, and haven't once ever had anything less than an outstanding, pain-free, friendly, stellar experience! Dr. Wooddy is, without a doubt, one of the three nicest people I've met in my entire life. My teeth have been worked on by five or six hygienists over the years, and all of them have been extremely kind, gentle on the teeth and gums, and fun to chat with (to the extent one can with a mouth full of hands and tools). They always call to remind me of upcoming appointments, work with me on payment terms and insurance, and make sure I'm equipped with all the latest information on modern dental hygiene. My third appt was to get some cavities filled by Dr Jessup, I had no issues with pain before the fillings but now am in a lot of pain and it's been 4 months since then. So I was not happy with that. I went in today for a cleaning from Dr Hutchinson, she was super kind and helpful on a plan to get my tooth to no longer hurt, she said that the filling I was given needed to be fixed and that should solve the pain. Overall I would definitely reccomend the office as the desk gals and hygienists are wonderful and so is Dr Hutchinson but I wouldn't reccomend seeing Dr Jessup. Also the location is kind of interesting to get to but once you've gone once it'll be a breeze to get to again. They do have a parking lot which I appreciate, and the office is very cozy and clean inside as well!
