After I had visited other dentists to get pricing on some cosmetic dental work I needed done, I visited Dr Goodmans office I was not at all impressed by the other dental offices I visited. They were very clinical, impersonal and seemed eager to upsell you, not truly listen to your needs and budgetary constraints. I got the impression they were offering services to justify the cost of expensive TV ads and hotel lobby like waiting rooms rather than my needs. As soon as I walked into Dr Goodmans office, I was greeted with a warm friendly face. All of the staff there are AWESOME. I was immediately impressed by the professional and personal family like atmosphere and knew this was the place for me. Upon meeting Dr Goodman I knew right away he was MY dentist. He listens to your wants/needs/concerns, then provides his opinion and best options that will suit YOU. He immediately understood what I was trying to achieve and offered me options that were most appropriate AND within my budget. No upselling, no exaggerated options or pricing. He truly cares about his patients health, needs and their budgetary concerns. A rare but much appreciated approach in today's health industry. Dr Goodman was able to complete the dental work I wanted for half the cost of the "fancy" dentists and achieving the same, if not better results. His work is outstanding! The end results are spectacular and for me, life changing. There is no pretentious attitude from Dr Goodman or any of his staff - they genuinely care about each and every patient. They were truly interested in my happiness and the end result rather than padding their wallets. I cannot recommend Dr Goodman and his team enough. Warm, friendly and compassionate attitudes, professional and highly skilled work. From simple cleaning to complete cosmetic dentistry - I doubt there's a more skilled dentist and more friendly support team in all of KC!! read more

While searching the internet for a new dentist for an emergency situation I decided to go with Dr. Goodman. That is a decision I will never regret. What a refreshing change. I honestly could not believe how friendly Dr. Goodman and every staff member at his practice is. They make you feel very welcomed and truly appreciate your concerns. My crown came off (tooth inside) and I of course panicked. After examining me, unfortunately my tooth is a loss but I am a candidate for a dental implant. He explained what is needed to continue step by step. He recommended an oral surgeon that he uses. I am a veteran and currently do not have dental insurance. He was very sensitive to my situation and did not hesitate to refer me to UMKC which has a program to fit my financial needs. What I also found refreshing....I was not rushed. It seems nowadays people are rushed through appointments like cattle with very little attention to what the patients concerns are. (I see this a lot with my mothers appts.) Like I stated, I was a bit panicked and he took all the time and patience I needed to explain everything. AND to top it off, he gives a veteran discount. Considering the circumstances of how I ended up here I could not have asked for more from you guys, to wake up in the NKC Hospital without my two front teeth was mortifying and very upsetting. I was so glad you could work me in right away so late in the day and to even offer. 24 hour turnaround on my teeth was amazing especially when Dr. Goodman offered to come in and or stay late during his holiday time. This is not anything he had to do and I really appreciate it. My father always said "people come for the product but hey STAY for the SERVICE. The service I got yesterday was impeccable and from my family to yours thank you so much for the care and service in a dark and painful time. I have been going to Dr. Goodman for about 7 years - I don't even live up north anymore but continue to make the trek because he and his staff are absolutely top-notch. I had my first experience with a crown yesterday - I was completely terrified. I didn't get gas but turns out I didn't need it. I concur with the other reviews - usually the novocaine shot is the worst part of any dental procedure, but I did not feel a thing! There was quite a bit of drilling to be done and even so, it was not a bad experience. Andrea, his assistant and hygeinist, was wonderful - she really put me at ease and did a fantastic job molding, shaping and fitting that thing to my tooth. I continue to recommend Dr. Goodman to anyone who needs a dentist and will continue to go no matter where I live in town! read more

Dr. Goodman and the entire staff all went the extra mile to help my 88yr old father with very terminally health feel very comfortable. From the moment I walked through the door I received Awesome treatment. They all were very patient with my father. I wish more Doctor offices had more employees like this Staff. The receptionist stacey was very friendly and helpful with the paperwork. It was quick and easy for a first time appointment. Jen was very friendly cleaning my teeth and gave me advice on how to protect my gums. It is very easy to schedule an appointment and they have friendly reminders about upcoming appointments without being overly pushy. I went to him today for as replacement filling. I do not like the dentist, but Dr. Goodman was awesome. He gave me some gas and I was totally relaxed.
