These people need to learn some manners! They're incredibly RUDE! They act as they're doing you a favor. Sorry you're not! They don't know how to even say Hello. The clothes are way over priced. Cute yes,but I refuse to buy another thing from them. I have supported this shop plenty of times for new baby clothes, birthday ect.. I get it everyone has a "bad day"every now and then but every time? Shame on me for thinking that, and going back. Not ever again. Staff is the worse. Cute store but the salesperson working was extremely rude and had no interest in making it an enjoyable experience, quite the opposite actually. Makes you feel as if you are a thief in the store with the way she watches you and comments on the toys your child is picking out. It's a children's store and god forbid a child touches something that is at a child's eye level. By reading past reviews it seems that this is not an individual experience either. I'd advise spending your hard earned money somewhere else where you are appreciated and not treated like a burden. read more

Save yourself the time and stress and DO NOT GO HERE. Cute store, extremely rude and mean customer service. I came in with my sister and 1 year old niece on Mother's Day and had an absolutely horrible experience. The worker did not even greet us, but did stare and follow us around the store like we were criminals. We found a small toy my 1 year old niece wanted and gave it to her to hold. It touched her mouth and the worker immediately tells us "you need to purchase that it's policy"... ok that's fair, we were planning on it that's why she was holding it. I bring up another one of the toys for her to scan so I don't have to rip it out of my niece's hands and the worker very rudely says "no you need to buy the one she touched".... Yeah we were planning on it I brought the other one up to be scanned. She then says "I don't need to scan it". Didn't get a thank you, a happy Mother's Day, or have a nice day. Just so many rude responses and treated like a criminal for walking through the store. DO NOT GO HERE. She clearly hates children and should not work at children's store. read more

Came in two weeks ago on a Sunday to purchase a book for a friend's baby shower. When I walked in there were two middle age women at the front desk talking (mind you there was not a single customer in the store). Both looked at me and then carried on with their conversation. Zero customer service.. As I walked around the store not once did either of them ask if I needed help or assistance, but I could tell they were definitely watching me as I looked at items. Please I could afford anything the store. Usually I go to Geppetto's to purchase books but I chose to go to Five Loaves just in case there was anything that caught my eye that I could add to the baby shower gift. Never again!!! As a Coronado local, the owner/staff at this store are an embarrassment to the Island. I can only imagine how they treat tourist visiting. They would probably have more business if they took some classes in customer service. Old snobs! read more

We visited on August 2020, during Covid19 era. There is a sign posted when you walk in, face mask required (cool). Hand sanitizer placed out front. Nice. This store had the most adorable kids clothing, shoes and accessories. We were so excited. We bought our little girl shoes, dress, accessories and she made a necklace. Which she created and assembled and the owner had hand sanitizer before assembling. I love the fact that the owner makes her own clothing. It reminded me of my childhood, because my mother made my clothing as a child. Seeing the sewing machine, fabrics and patterns laid out in the back office, made me feel that this store is truly a mom and pop store. I was impressed. The store associate was extremely helpful and when I asked for the wrong shoe size for my littleone, she said no problem, we sanitized all our items after use, awesome! This shop reminded me of Jack and Janie stores, and most of their stores have gone out of business, I hope to be back soon before my little girl Changes her opinion on how we dress her. read more

I love this store for hair accessories. Every time I buy one of their unique hair clips I get other parents asking me where did I get them. My daughter (1 1/2) loves to go in there and touches things (carefully), and the salespeople encourage her "shopping". It's a wonderful store, and sadly so many childrens' stores close. read more

Very cute store. Unpleasant experience. They have tender leaf toys which my toddler loves. There was a sign that said "play carefully" so I let my son hold the toys to decide which one he wanted. He was very careful and I was bent down to help him with the toys to make sure. A lady came by and moved a fishing pole he just touched to the other side so he couldn't play with it, without saying a word to us. He was holding a fire truck, which I was planning on buying, and the same lady said "do you have questions about the fire truck" and I said "no we're just looking". She then says "remember, keep the toys on the table". Nowhere did it say to keep the toys on the table, just to play carefully, which he was literally just holding it. If the sign said to keep the toys on the table, I wouldn't have let him touch them. We immediately left without buying anything because of this and won't be back. We were 100% going to buy something before this experience as he loves these toys, I just wanted him to pick out his own toy. I guess if you were to go, go without children or just make sure your child doesn't hold the toys. read more

I love this boutique! I have several of their girls dresses and boy shirts. They always have very classic as well as unique designs. I love how they are made in San Diego with quality fabrics. I've never had any tears or unthreading, so it was lovely to save all the clothing as hand-me-downs for my younger children. Their accessories are also very cute! They're always adding new designs, especially for holidays throughout the year, so you know your child is uniquely dressed. My kids also constantly get compliments, everyone who sees their clothing always ask me where it's from. read more

This is a way over priced kids clothing store. I would rather shop at Ross and or Old Navy. Like $40 for kids shirt! Seriously!! And the workers are just following you around asking if you need help like really, if I needed help I would ask! Then I am watching the workers interact with the customers and they ask the customer if they can put their item in their own bag. You have to be kidding me, sounds like they don't want to give out bags with purchase. After you pay $40.00 for a shirt!! Really!! This was at the UTC location!! This location in UTC doesn't exist anymore. I was given a gift when my baby was born of a beautiful dress from the UTC store. Unfortunately it was mislabeled as a size 9 months (when it was actually a 6 month size) so I didn't try to put it on my daughter until she was 9 months old and by that time it was too small. I still had the gift receipt which said right on it that turns after 45 days or via a gift receipt would be given store credit. (It said nothing about no turns or exchanges after any length of time.) I called ahead to make sure I could come and get store credit for it to pick something else out and was told yes I can. They did not tell me the UTC store was closed, so after battling holiday traffic and parking a learning the store didn't exist anymore I was frustrated. I took the following day off of work to go to fashion valley store. The women there were kind but unable to process the exchange because they store I bought it from is closed and had me call the corporate office. The woman who I spoke to was so unkind she made me cry. Asking me to get the original receipt (from my dead grandfather who passed after my baby was born). Accusing of being ridiculous for not knowing within 45 days of the purchase that I would need to exchange it. How could I when the size was labeled wrong and even if it wasn't my baby wouldn't have been able to wear it for 6 months? The other gift of a onesie I got fell apart after my daughter wore it once. read more
