I went to dinner with a date and sat at the bar feeling completely safe. Within 5 minutes, the manager Tim (along with a silent individual) approached me and asked to speak with me outside where he asked me to leave the property. I explained to him the I received an apology and an invite to come back from NI on Yelp. He claimed that the response was a corp form letter response and there was no intent behind the words. I don't know who I'm more embarrassed for, me or Tim the manager at North italia. I explained to him that the apology and the invite was very customized because it identified exactly what I had to eat that evening. His response was for me to leave the premises, which I did. You can decide whether to patronage this type of organization which practices strategic schizophrenia. I have since identified an exciting authentic Italian place in Costa Mesa (Red Room).
