Five stars for 2 reasons. Number one. The service! It's always good to see good service and I witnessed that. The man that sat near me said he had ordered some fries with his burger. The cashier made a mistake and didn't add the fries to be order and he didn't pay for them either. When he went to ask about the fries, the manager promptly came over. Addressed him and said that they didn't get it on his order but they would have them right out to him and gave them his order free of charge. When he tried to pay they said no. It was their mistake. Have been to this location multiple times now. The staff is very hard-working, and clean. I watched an employee take off her apron to leave the kitchen and put it back on before returning to the kitchen and stopped to wash her hands. The burgers are BOMB. This location in particular does it right. The food is always amazing. I have literally had zero issues with this location. I will generally order from the five guys app to avoid the long lunch lines and from doing so, most of the staff have come to know me. As soon as I walk in the door they announce my name saying I have arrived. Now, I'm not pretentious or anything but this certainly helps make a returning customer feel appreciated. The manager of this location is great! I had an issue with my food a few weeks ago. Not a big deal but some toppings mixed up. The manager was incredibly prompt with getting back to me and helping me resolve the problem. The food is great like any Five Guys. It was the final vacation day of the new year. I needed my final fat boy kick off before hopping into a healthier 2016. I rarely eat burgers, so I figured there was no better time than now to clog my arteries. The wife and I headed to Five Guys for a mouth full of meat and Cajun seasoned fries. Five Guys is a walk up restaurant. A step up from drive through, but not quite table service level. I picked my grilled onions and mushrooms, bacon, mayo and everything else that I shouldn't be eating. We sat, and cracked their shelled peanuts as an appetizer. They called our number, and we took our burgers home and enjoyed them as we watched pirated movies. It was a good start to the new year that resulted in a tummy ache from overconsumption. If you love fries and don't care to spend much, go for it. I am quite surprised how many chains have popped up in this area lately. Especially in West Valley, I know this isn't Lehi or Heber but living here intermittently you kinda set low expectations. Five Guys reminds me allot of a Texas burger although the burger chain is from the east coast. You get the option of picking your own toppings or you can just tell them to put everything on it. There is one thing that bothers me about this spot compared to the other Five Guys, its freakin cleanliness. I feel like I have to eat a pile of peanuts and spread them all over the floor to give it authenticity. If you go to a Five Guys outside of the state, you'll see they purposely have peanut shells over the floor. Maybe its weird but sometimes being messy is fun. As for the fries, can't say I'm a fan of the Cajun fries if you like spicy salty fries. Normally order the regular which is plentiful for two people. Don't order two sets unless you are going on a starch diet. There's a reason why these guys were voted best burger in 2012 and that is for their portion size of meat in the burger. read more

I usually don't write about chains because well-- they're all pretty consistent across the board. My first visits to Five Guys was the one in Fort Union. It was always packed and my order never got to me quite right. When we moved to West Valley and discovered there was a Five Guys in our area we were pretty happy. Added bonus: this place is rarely crowded to the point you have to wait to place your order and it's spotless. I usually order a small bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions and it's plenty of beefy goodness form me. A small fry is usually not finished between me and my boyfriend. The portion sizes are definitely reasonable for the price. I also have to comment on the servers: they're awesome. They're all so friendly and helpful and they get your order out fairly quickly. So...if you're craving Five Guys but you don't want the crowds found at the other locations, head out to West Valley. read more

Originally when this place opened it was amazing! You walked in and got all the workers yelling "Hi" or "Hello" or how many were in your party. Also, the workers in the store were primarily caucasian. Now however the majority of the workers are spanish and you'll only get one saying "Hello". Not to mention if you order online be prepared to wait an additional 10-15 minutes past what your online order time should be to pick up your food. It really feels like this place has gone down hill. OH YEAH!! If you love HUGE portions and greasy food, this is numero uno!! This is your vegan's worst nightmare. It's a little pricy, but so good. The regular hamburger has not one, but TWO patties packed with overflowing extras which YOU get the pick wrapped in aluminum foil and you must get the fries which are not only absolutely delicious and they give you a lot, but they actually give you a whole ton extra on purpose. And that's not the half of it. The workers there have so much fun and make you have fun too. There's a guy that shouts numbers and people joke and have a great time. Every once in a while when I've had a bad day at work, I go there and treat myself to here and it's WORTH IT! read more

I've been to several different five guys in Utah and this one has always stood out. The food is always consistently great, the kitchen and dining area are always clean, and the staff are usually quite friendly. There have only been one or two times I have been disappointed in the customer service but the high quality food made up for it. Lots of people complain about the one cheese option or the poor choice of music but my only problem with this location is that they don't have shakes. Every other five guys around has shakes besides this one. Doesn't make sense to me. No one wants to eat a burger and fries without a shake. Luckily the five guys in taylorsville isn't too much further from my work and I can get a shake there. read more

This location is an absolute joke! We drive out there from South Salt Lake to get everyone in the office lunch. The last 2 times we have been there it has been awful! 3/21: 4 of the 5 hamburgers were wrong. Pickles were added to every hamburger, no bacon on 2, and 1 did not have grilled jalapenos. We ordered 2 lg Cajun fries and only got 1. 2 of the burgers were not wrapped all the way and were spilled all over in the bag. 4/11: We placed the order online again and still had to wait in line during the lunch rush to get our order..??? They tried to only give us 1 lg Cajun instead of the 2 we ordered. 3 of the 4 hamburgers were messed up...again. 1-missing grilled onion and grilled jalapeno, 2-missing grilled jalapenos and had BBQ instead of A1, and 3-missing the bacon and grilled jalapenos. This place used to be really good and friendly. The staff is not nearly as nice nor do they get their orders right. When they make a mistake they do not apologize. Last time we went here I could not get the manager to call me back. Very unprofessional and unclean. We will try another location one time before totally giving up but only because the food is good. read more

These burgers get giant fast. Get them with bacon and the onions diced not grilled. Makes a great texture.

What a joke, normally this location is ok, were should I start. First off it took forever for them to cook 2 little burgers, when they finally finished we noticed the fries were just warm not hot like usual, then we open the burgers mine was completely wrong they put some of the toppings along with my wife's all on mine, and my wife's was just the burger and a couple of pickles. I then took the burgers up front and nobody acknowledged me so I had to shout for someone to help me, I explained my problem and he said I could keep them and they would replace them. I was considering that but by this time we had been there for a half hour, I asked him if they could make them faster than 20 minutes and he said that I would have to wait the same time it took for the last ones. At this point I was pretty irritated and told him that I just wanted my money back, he then walked away and some girl came and asked me what was wrong, so I then explain my problem to her, she said that they would make them again and I told her that I don't want to wait another 20 minutes and she told me that they only took 5 minutes to make. I then showed her my receipt with a time of 12:23 it was 12:53 and showed her that. And this is what really got me mad she had the nerve to laugh, and she then went and got some other guy to get me my money, and he brought me my refund for 1 burger not 2, I had to explain again that both of them were not even close to what I ordered, if you go to this location expect it to take at least 20 minutes for your food, and they might not get your order right and if they don't you guessed it you can wait another 20 minutes or get your money back and go to Carl's Jr. like I did. read more

When I was little I remember Mom always taking us out to lunch after our Saturday chores were done. I now get to reciprocate since Mom is on a tight budget, and besides, its something I enjoy. The first time I ever visited Five Guys was some time ago in North Carolina. It's nice to see them in Utah. The guy at the counter was awesome taking time to go over the menu in depth and ever so nice. I wish I got his name because he deserves high praise! We had the single patty cheese burgers with fresh cut fries. They have many toppings that are included with the price of the burger. By the way, the single patty burger is huge. Fries were tasty and I like when places offer the infamous fry sauce. Cokes were strong, not flat tasting like Arctic Circle's drinks. The only thing I didn't understand was the free peanuts they offer? Must be a southern thing. You scoop them yourself and you can have all ya want. The food was good. The reason I am giving them only four stars is that they do not offer combo meals. All food items are sold separately, so it makes it rather pricey. Total bill for two was a little over $18.00, so taking a family here would be rough. Maybe that's the reason I saw no kids in the joint. read more

This place is like Bob's Burgers only in real life and without the crazy kids and crazier wife lol. What I mean by that is that they use all freash ingredients, not some pink putty mush or frozen patties and fires and yes there is sometimes a wait even if you do order your meal online but that's because they want it to be as fresh as possible for you when you get there. The staff is always friendly and the location is always so clean you feel like if a fry hits the table you don't have to send the poor thing to the grave (aka trash can). And speaking of the fries...I'd go here just for the fries if I can't afford a burger at the time and usually still have left overs. This place is awesome! Oh!
