Yesterday night, after work, my partner and I wanted to find a quick place to eat to avoid the Valentine's Day rush. We decided to head to Five Guys. I wanted to share my experience with you and tell you about the fast service, nice staff, and a few things I noticed. The prices were a bit high, with a single hamburger costing almost $9.20 and a double costing $11.20. I am certain that the prices have increased, and it might be because of the exchange for two single hamburgers and large fries. Our total bill came to around $25, which isn't too bad. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant could have been better. The tables had not been wiped down after each customer, which made it unpleasant for us. Additionally, the garbage cans were overflowing, making it difficult for us to throw away our trash. To the owner of Five Guys, I would like to suggest that the staff should remove the trash and replace the bags so that guests can easily throw away their trash. Furthermore, it would be great if the tables could be wiped down after each customer to make it more comfortable for everyone who eats there. read more

older lady with long black hair was rude she kept making comments about me and my bf and kept laughing at us like the jokes she made were funny. they weren't wearing hair nets either. saw a long black/grey hair in the fry sauce. we checked our bag and there was another hair in the bag. lady kept touching her face with her gloves on. they took a while to make our 2 burgers and fries but i understood cause it's five guys and everything is fresh we weren't in a rush usually we end up waiting a while anyways but the food was nasty my bf felt sick after eating and the fries tasted like paint. i've never had this problem at a five guys before. won't come again . read more

Decent burger at a high price. Excellent fries at a high price. Service is slow and the restaurant is kinda dirty. I spent a leisurely 30 minutes in the late afternoon before dinner rush and no one cleaned a table despite only 3 orders being taken after mine. Definitely not the best Five Guys location. read more

I like them, yes it's greasy, yes this isn't helping my "diet", but I'd rather eat here than a lot of chain burger places. My burger was fresh, hot and veggies were crisp and clean. They didn't taste like dirt. My fries were not burnt, oily, but good. Very clean, no mess anywhere visable to customers. Someone else mentioned, they didn't realize that 5 guys was a chain. Same for me if I'm honest until recently. Now I see them popping up all over the place, there is even one right by where I live in Riverton now. At a prior company there were odd people who went to 5 guys, and I figured it was the only one that existed, and just some hole in the wall greasy burger joint they had found. What they brought back seemed to back up this theory! That was four years ago, I never tried it for myself until about six months ago - and again due to work colleagues who made a majority decision this would be the lunch destination for the day, I went with it - and honestly wasn't disappointed. Sure, it is a greasy burger joint. But one with real meat patties, and the ability to customize your burger with the exact combination of sides to put you into hamburger heaven. Top that with salty fries and wonderful fry sauce and you're really onto something! I'll admit, it's not somewhere you would want to eat at often if you're trying to stay healthy, but it's a real burger joint with proper fresh and REAL ingredients, and I can't imagine any more unhealthy than eating all the processed crap you get from most chains. The trick here is get the small versions (single patty) and get a small/regular fry. Large fries are INSANE in size. Even small you can share between two people and have some to spare. I get the small bacon cheeseburger generally - I cannot deny, I do like bacon, especially real bacon. You can't really knock 5 guys - it's unashamedly what it is. And they do it great. When you feel like a REAL burger, give it a try! read more

I actually really like this place. It's just a burger joint but I think it gives good portions for the price. Some might say it's a little on the pricey end for a burger and fries but the quality is pretty good. I think the large fries they give are perfect. I honestly think one of my fave places to get fries would be five guys. I love the skin on potatoes and the texture. On a side note, the place makes burgers that are great and it gives you a BBQ party type of feel. Overall, it's a solid 4 stars for me. read more

I've been hearing a lot about Five Guys Burgers the past few months. About how Obama likes to go there, that it's Zagat rated, and that in several different cities it's rated as one of the best burgers. I saw that UT had a couple Five Guys in the area and as I was leaving for home saw that there was one only a couple miles away from the GPS. Not wanting to get airport food, decided it was worth a 10 minute trip to try out Five Buy Burgers. I guess this is a new location as well as a newly developing area as a lot of the restaurants around this area had this fresh newly made feel to it. 5 Guys is located right off the S 5600 W so it's not that hard to find. I walked in and had the impression that I was walking into an In N Out. It had a bit of that 50's burger shop feel to it but not clean. What spoiled it was that on almost every inch of the wall there was some signage promoting how great 5 Guys is. It had big signs saying how it was "Voted Best" or "#1 Burger and Fries" and pictures of magazine covers, and that it was Zagat rated. The place just couldn't stop patting itself on it's back. So I walked up to the counter and you basically got a couple of different options. You have either their Regular or Little version of either a Hamburger, Cheese Burger, Bacon Burger, or Bacon Cheese Burger. They also do a Hot Dogs, Grill Cheese, and Veggie Burgers too. Prices for the burgers range from $3 - $6. If you want the meal you're looking at an additional $2 - $3 dollars. The one bonus about 5 Guys is that you got a lot of toppings to choose from and they don't charge. Yes they do offer the basics like lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and onions, but you can also get grilled mushrooms and grilled onions, jalapeno peppers, and BBQ sauce to boot. I decided to get the Little Bacon Cheese Burger with Lettuce, Grilled Onions, Grilled Mushrooms, Pickles, and Ketchup. They gave me my drink and sat around while they make my burger. They do everything fresh here so it took about 5 - 10 minutes before my burger was ready. They called me up and handed me my paper bag and sat down for dinner. The Little Bacon Cheeseburger was about the size of an In-N-Out Burger. I would say it was a 1/4 pound burger. I looked in the burger and they had all of the ingredients. They were generous with the lettuce as it seemed like they put a quarter head in my burger but really skimped on the grilled onions and mushrooms as there was barely any on there (you get more at a Wendy's or Carl Jr's $6 Burger). The cheese was melted on there and one cool thing was they gave me real fresh bacon that was crispy. I took a bit and overall, not too bad. The ingredients where fresh and the combination of flavors I put together seemed to work well together. The only thing missing was that I really do wish they added more of the onions and mushrooms just to give it that little extra bite onions and to polish off a smooth mushroom taste. But for my meal, the burger wasn't the highlight, it was the fries. Fresh home cut style fries with a good seasoning to it. They must add something more than just salt to their fries like pepper and some other seasonings because their fries are really good. They also loaded up the bag with fries which made up for the 1/4 pound burger. As to rating, with all do respect, I honestly think Zagat lost it mind by giving it any kind of rating. Yes they use fresh ingredients but if 5 Guys gets a Zagat Rating then honestly I think half the homes in the US with a decent grill that makes their own burgers should get a Zagat Rating too. Because that's what 5 Guys is, a good backyard burger. I've had far superior burgers at other places but they won't ever get a Zagat Rating. As to ratings, if you're in the area it's a good alternative to McDonald's or Burger King but I don't buy into the hype. Overall a decent enough burger stop and worth a 3 star rating. read more

Can you believe that I didn't know that this place was a chain until I showed up? As lame as I am, this was a real (as in, hand formed patties and ingredients that you could actually recognize) delicious burger. I love the idea of the peanuts for snacking while you wait for your burger. The only thing I had a complaint about was that the Cajun fries were definitely on the salty side. Yeouch! I realize I'm in the minority when I say this, but I don't get what the deal is with Five Guys. IMO it's pretty over priced for something that's just ok. $7.00 for a small burger and a drink is a little excessive-especially when you can (for about as much or less-depending on where you go) get a bigger burger, better fries, and a drink at Smashburger or In-n-Out. Yes you can get your burger the way you want with sautéed mushrooms and grilled onions, but I still can't get over how much it is for mediocrity. They do have some of the most polite and helpful employees around-hence the third star. Bottom line-if you've never been save your money and go to Smashburger or In-n-Out, or if you're in a pinch just get the pretzel burger at Wendy's. read more

This is something I rarely do, both reviewing chains and then reviewing separate locations of chains, but WVC is not going to benefit from my rating for Fort Union and they deserve the 4 stars every bit as much. Sure, the space isn't as comfortable, but the service here is consistently more attentive and the food is every bit as good. This is the what I use as the benchmark for "fast" burgers and sometimes even against sit-down restaurants. With their phenomenal consistency, they make an excellent standard and many, many, many challengers have come up wanting. If you want them to make you a burger my way, choose either single or double patty, add cheese, bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, A-1 sauce and get thee face full. Sometimes I will also add green peppers and less frequently a little splash of lettuce, but that's more of an option; the other toppings are standard. read more

Ate here the other day but didn't get a chance to do a review then. This is a chain place. The service was fast and friendly. The location is clean. I got the bacon burger with a lettuce wrap instead of the bun. It was prepared nicely and stayed together well. The meat was moist and flavorful. This is a relatively quiet location and very clean. There has been very little wait when I have visited and everything was cooked to order. I mostly only stop here to get a guilty pleasure of Cajun fries but all other items look exactly as they should. read more

Five stars for 2 reasons. Number one. The service! It's always good to see good service and I witnessed that. The man that sat near me said he had ordered some fries with his burger. The cashier made a mistake and didn't add the fries to be order and he didn't pay for them either. When he went to ask about the fries, the manager promptly came over. Addressed him and said that they didn't get it on his order but they would have them right out to him and gave them his order free of charge. When he tried to pay they said no. It was their mistake.
