This place is like every other Five Guys on the planet, busy, tasty, and empty tables need to be cleaned. We had two burgers and a large fries with two sodas. The burgers were prepared exactly as we had ordered and the fries were perfect. They give you enough fries that we really should have just ordered a regular to share. My only complaint is that the Coke "Freestyle" machine (https://www.seriouseats.com/soda-we-try-all-100-flavors-from-the-coke-freestyle-machine) was missing most of their sodas. We couldn't get lemonade or rootbeer and were stuck with Coke Zero. Had the machine been properly filled I would have added a star to my review. read more

So I eaten at 5 guys burger before, at at a time in my earlier days it was fantastic LT good but now it taste like any normal burger I would cook on the barbecue. I take that last part back. I actually make it better because I can make it anyway I want and it wouldn't cost me 4X the amount. The burger is uninteresting and McDonald's have better frys. They really need to start innovating to get with the times. I might stop by for a burger in the next three years but they sure won't have my bi-weekly patronage. read more

Poorly trained staff. Our daughter has food allergy to nuts and sesame. My wife asked the cash register twice if their food has any nuts or sesame seed or oil. He sternly said no. Then I saw on the wall that all the fries are fired in peanut oil. Again we asked him and he replied "Oh, only our fries have nuts." And once we got our grilled cheese, it has sesame seeds on it! The manager was so rude and he said I gave back your money for the grilled cheese. Unfortunately they lacked basic human comprehension and good training from Five Guys. We went here for a change to the regular burger places. We were not happy. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich which cost almost six dollars. It was the smallest sandwich I have ever had. It consisted of a 3 inch roll with some melted cheese on it. I showed it to the guy at the cash register and he said that was the bread that they had. Meaning they don't care. looove five guys. always had their burgers here; this time trying the hot dog. had a grand time: crunchy skin, flavorful fixings, right amount of relish to cut the grease. hohhh yeah. except the bun got a little wet from the steam trapped in the aluminum foil wrapper, this shxt is good. and condiments and extra toppings are all free (or, already included in the price); a good amount of each is added to balance the meat, not overpowering it. service: frequently met with friendliness and smiley faces from cashiers to cooks; you'd even get a "thank you" and/or "have a food day" on your way out! which, sometimes even higher-end establishments don't care to offer. maybe they would consider re-branding themselves as "happy guys" or "happy burger". yeah, you don't get a "combo" price as everything is a la carte, a burger + fries + drink would easily cost you $13+, but the whole experience is simply satisfying inside and out -- a treat for both mind and body. read more

Five Guys is a real heavy and greasy spot for burgers and other fast-foody type stuff. Sure, it isn't as unhealthy as McDonald's (or is it?), but it's more filling, and I at least thought more healthy (I'm questioning this opinion though....). Anyway, this Five Guys is located right on Route 1 in Walpole in the Walpole Mall complex. While not in the actual mall (barely anything is at this point), it's next to Panda Express, on a "pad" parcel across from Office Max. Parking is available right out front, and while not as large as the Dedham location, they provide a good amount of seating inside, as well as a convenient option for to-go ordering. Now, I gave the Dedham Five Guys five stars and the Walpole Five Guys four? Why you ask? Well, this location seems to have an issue with keeping the LINE under control. Dedham has their system down pat with having enough staff at all points of the restaurant. Here, the restaurant is clean and well maintained, and I haven't had any issues with order accuracy, but two of the three times I have been here, I have had to wait much longer than it should have been. If there aren't enough cashiers, take someone from the cooking area or offer all of the customers a discount. Fifteen minutes in line once and ten minutes in line another time is crazy. In Dedham, there is barely ever a wait. With that, one star is subtracted. Anyway, the food is still good and between the milkshakes, curly fries, and burgers, it's a no brainer that this is one of the better burger options around (there is so much competition in this industry these days!).... and the only in the Walpole area. I would suggest it, but would also make sure to add in time for ordering if you are going during a so-called "busy time", as I have. By the way, they are open daily from 11-10. 4 stars read more

My 12 year old son wanted, for his birthday, to go to the arcade, and then to 5 Guys. I pre-ordered, on the app, for 6 kids and 2 adults - it was expensive - $170ish for 8 people (everyone got a burger, soft drink and fries). I knew the price though, and was willing to pay it because it was a special request from my son. However, what didn't make sense was I ordered the food for a specific time because I did not want to wait; they didn't drop the fries until I got there. Normally I would be good with this, but there were so many fries, it took another 20 minutes beyond when I arrived at the time I requested. The burgers were also make incorrectly - cheese on all of them although I had 2 kids with dairy issues, no bacon on any of the ones I ordered bacon on and missing drinks. The store did correct, but had to make new burgers and drop fries, which added onto our time there - and now some kids had their food, and others had to wait; it was just very disjointed. Also, the manager was not a very happy person, don't get me wrong, he fixed everything, but he was certainly not thrilled about it. I really enjoy 5 Guys food, but knowing their increased price and especially the service at this location, I may look elsewhere. I will also say that the cashier who originally greeted me, and was getting my food was very nice and helpful. Maybe it was just a one-off, but that was my experience that day. read more

Everyone I know has been ranting and raving about this place for ages. I finally gave in and stopped by for lunch. Let me start off by saying, when it comes to my burgers, I don't like anything fancy. Lettuce, tomato, ketchup, maybe some pickles if I'm feeling wild, maybe. I placed an order for just that, along with an order of fries and a fountain drink. Place was staffed by all foreigners; they were nice enough, although a bit hard to understand (accent). I grabbed a table and waited for my order. Prices were rather high, $4 for fries, $2 for a fountain drink, not really as good a bargain as I was expecting. Took about 10 minutes for my order to be called, which was a while I thought considering the style of the restaurant (sudo fast food). The burger had a traditional sesame seed bun (untoasted), two patties, and my requested toppings. It was cooked to about medium (very slight pink). While the burger had a good amount of juice to it, it lacked taste. Perhaps it was due to how lean the meat was or the lack of charcoal, but it just lacked any defining taste. The patties seemed more a media for the toppings then the main attraction. The tomatoes seemed to be a bit old, and had the same taste / feeling of the ones you'd find at McDonalds. Fries were good, nice and crisp as they should be. Minus 1 star for staff I couldn't understand, and another for a rather tasteless burger. Definitely better then a McDonalds / BK experience, but for the price, I'd just as soon fire up the grill at home and make one myself. read more

Sherri was such a delight! Breath of fresh air and just knows how to talk to people! So I came in just to try one of the famous milkshakes and ended up getting a malted strawberry milkshake. This is simply the best burger joint around. Nothing else really compares. The price is reasonable for a lean burger, with whatever you want on it. No additional charges for toppings. Good fries, healthily made in peanut oil. Better yet, there are bags upon bags of peanuts (which cost next to nothing) for you to take and munch on while you wait for your order. I'm not a big fan of soda, but they also have a cool automated mixer, so you can have whatever flavor and variety of soft drinks you want! Just go here. You will become a regular. This place was packed, but I wanted to try the infamous burgers that are fancied by the Obama crew. The restaurant has a diner/sub shop feel to it with red and white tile. There are sacks of peanuts everywhere since everything is cooked in 100% peanut oil. There are free peanuts to snack on while you wait for your order number to be called. The assembly line burger was good and I didn't' realize that a "regular" size burger is actually made up of two patties. I like the free toppings and opted for cheddar cheese, jalapenos and BBQ sauce. My burger, Cajun fries and a drink cost around $12. I liked the burger, but wasn't a fan of the fries which are served in a cup and then put in a brown paper bag. I don't know if it was the peanut oil, but there was something I didn't like about them. I've heard A LOT of good things about Five Guys from both friends and family. Not sure why I never got around to trying it until this past weekend. I walk in, the guy taking our order was pretty damn professional. I noticed that when my friend went up to order and he had to pick up the phone, he politely asked if he could do that first rather than just pick it up and assume you don't give to shits about waiting to order (I've had that happen before). So from the get-go, it was looking out to be a pretty good experience. We wait a little longer for our food than normal fast-food places because they literally make it for you on the spot. It's not like McDonalds where they're already pre-made and handed to you immediately. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger. HOLY GODS OF AMAZING BURGERS, BATMAN. It was literally like a present from the heavens. I can't justly describe in words how good it was. Bonus points for there being 2 patties. The minus 1 star is because I wasn't a huge fan of the fries. I will say though that it tastes a lot less processed than normal fast-food joints but what can I say, I'm a processed fries kind of girl. I'm in trouble. Normally, it can take several minutes before your order is ready so the app came in handy because it only took them a couple of minutes to finalize my order. I love Five Guys but suggest you avoid this site at all costs. Placed an order for three burgers and an order of fries. Place was busy but not slammed.Twenty seven minutes later had not received our order. Asked about it and the clerk point to our rolls that had been prepared and ready for burgers but no burgers were ready. Found out that orders for burgers that were well after ours were about ready. Suggested that those burgers be shifted to our order since our order was well ahead of those. We were told that it would be too confusing. These people must be easily confused ?? read more

West Coast Girl gets transplanted to the East Coast... and this is the closest thing to In 'n' Out Burger I can get... for that mere fact, I had to deduct one star. However ask my East-Coast born and bred fiance and this place takes the cake... er, beef! However you want to put a beef pattie between two buns... it's good stuff no doubt!
