    Regular Fries. They're excellent.

The fries are great here. They are seasoned heavily and you get a ton of them. The burgers are good and I like the huge variety of "free" toppings, like grilled onions, jalapeños, grilled mushrooms, etc. The toppings are all free but, of course, you're paying for them in the price of the burger. My burger patties could have been seasoned more but they were still tasty. Unlimited free shelled peanuts make an outstanding appetizer. I could (did) eat a hundred of them.

I went for a burger and fries. Guess what, that's what I got. Not much more, other than a few peanuts and not much less other than I didn't use any ketchup for my fries. What I did get was a complimentary cup for tap water and an $18 charge for a double cheese burger, small fry and the ol' option for a tip (suggestion starting at 18%) when swiping my card. Sorry, no tip today guys. I was order number two (2) today as I had arrived shortly after the 11am opening on this Wednesday morning. Food came out hot and fresh and the burger was tasty, flavorfully fatty, and moderately messy but not worth the double price I paid for the last 1/3lb burger combo with fries that I got from Tip Top Meats (read my other reviews). A good burger and fries here at 5-Guys, but the hype today was its location near my vehicle and me not wanting to walk across the parking lot to get sushi instead. Sushi would have been just a touch more on the healthier side as the fry bag today also had its characteristic 5-Guy grease stains. Today, I left after using many napkins yet satisfied but with a much lighter wallet. Honestly, just another burger. Dicks

In and out better for the price point. Burger Lounge still sets the bar for burgers in San Diego.

I was not particularly craving a burger or a hotdog, but I assumed this place was in a mid-point price range. This spot is located in the charming town of Vista, small and walkable. There's an outdoor dining area that's very nice when the weather is nice. I'm only giving this place three stars however, because I think aside from the nice dining area, it's pretty average. There seemed to be only one person working the front area when I arrived. We had to order off a kiosk. Two burgers and an order of tater tots came to about $40. That seems a tad high to me. The order came out wrong -- we ordered avocado on one burger but it was added to the wrong one. The food was decent if a bit salty. We had to wait like 20 minutes for our food, which seem weird for fast casual. The burgers -- at least the one I had -- was tasty. The Hawaiian bun made the burger particularly nice. But it wasn't anything to rave about or to crave later on. Bottom line, I think service here is a bit slow, the prices are a bit high, but the food is decent and overall your experience will be completely average. Solid three stars.

The girl at the counter was very friendly and helped me to order. I ordered the original double combo. I filled my drink and grabbed a seat. It wasn't long before my order was ready. There were several sauces to choose from. I liked that they were different than other burger places. My burger was good but I added a bit of salt. I also dipped it in some sauce as it was a little dry. Otherwise, it tasted good and was a big portion. I got onion rings which I liked a lot. It was too much food so I didn't order a custard, but I definitely will try it next time. I look forward to coming back and trying different options 3.5 stars.

The fries are like horseshoe style, which I could live without no meat to bite down Into. But the onion rings were great. Crispy. And the batter was light and air and didn't completely disintegrate when bent or bit ( I will say that with my burger they only gave 7 rings and was told the next size up would be double so like 14 rings) they were delicious. They are also giving a single serving custard, vanilla with sprinkles or chocolate with chocolate chips, with their kids meal in lieu of a toy. Service: friendly quick service and personable. This is a long overdue review for Water Shack. I stumbled upon this place a few years ago when I…read morewas craving a no frills mom & pop style burger. To my surprise Water Shack's burgers were delicious and satisfying that I find myself coming back here ever so often. Their burgers aren't the heavy, greasy/high fat patties you would get from other places. However, their 1/4 lb patties are their smallest patties and heft makes for that ideal bun to burger ratio. Did I need to order double patties on most of my burger orders? Probably not. Their patties are on the leaner side but they aren't dry; and the fixings from any burger you choose will satisfy that meaty burger fix you're looking for. The Chicken Patty Melt is also a very tasty item. Very cheesy, buttery and crispy toasted bread with chicken breast. Their fries and onion rings also come air-fried so this place focuses more on the healthier comfort food options that wont leave you feeling heavy and drowsy. This place is also doubled as a purified water dispensary and also serves baked goods and ice cream. Love this type of no-frills, unassuming place with very friendly staff and serves up some delicious food!

Six packs. For the exiled East Coasters who been wanderin' the desert west lookin' for salvation. You grab one and whisper "Go Birds" under your breath like a prayer. But here's the kicker. The thing that made me sit back and whisper "holy jawn" to myself. They got water ice. Not "Italian ice." Not "shaved ice." Not "snow cones." Wuddir ice. A dozen flavors deep.
