The wife and I were sick of frozen crap burgers you get everywhere and we had heard that five guys was just the opposite. (Oh by far!) Before entering you can smell a great burger smell, it instantly made me hungry, an my mouth started to water. Once we entered five guys we were greeted right away, with a smile an a nice "welcome to five guys". After entering my wife leaned over a bit to tell me how she instantly noticed the establishment was nice, neat, an very clean, which was good. After looking around for a sec, my wife and I saw that the line that guided you to the register was lined by boxes of peanuts that you can put in a lil boat dish an eat while you wait for you're food. Neat! Thought that was something that stood out different. Approaching the register we noticed the menu above that was very easy to understand and didnt have a hundred different items to choose from. Keeping it nice a simple for you to order. But offered a great amount of toppings for you're burger, which I liked. The wife an I both ordered burgers (fresh made by hand) an shared a small (fresh cut) fry. which was just the right amount of fries for us. Believe me you can taste the difference in both! My wife is more of a plan burger kind of girl, only getting ketchup, mustard, an extra pickles on hers, I on the other hand, load it up. But we both agreed the the burgers were cooked perfect! Still juicy not dry, lots of flavor, just the right amount of meat to other ingredients ratio. It was a awesome burger! The fries cook perfect an not over salted. Very POOR leadership/Management. My wife from Boerne and 6 grandchildren visiting from Oklahoma stopped for food. When my grandson asked "can I buy a glass of milk (for my 1 1/2 yr old greatgrandson)" During the Ordering of 7 people he was told they do not sell milk ! he asked about the milk they use for Milkshakes and they said they only use it for milk shakes, REALLY !!!!! Can't think of any other fast food burger that's better than 5 guys. Their toppings list is extremely extensive! Their burgers are just to die for. And the shakes are the b e s t. VERY good hamburgers. I don't like the way the fries are made or taste ( there those "brown" fries that are always a little under cooked tasting). In general good food, BUT.......VERY expensive. I sat watching every customer after their order was paid for. Nearly every person would look at the receipt and say something to the other person thay were with and look at the menu board. I'm assuming thay were surprised at the total price like I was. A hamburger, regular order of fries and a regular drink is over $10.00. For about half of that price I can go to Burger King and get a just as tasty meal. Sorry Five Guys. Really great service at this Five Guys. I walked in and was greeted by every employee that was working. My burger was cooked perfectly and the perfect size. I'm so happy that you can pick any of the toppings that they have at no extra charge. They only charge more for cheese or bacon. The Five guys concept is a good one. They hire friendly people and use fresh ingredients which is key to any business. My little cheeseburger and fries came out to about $8. That's pretty reasonable to me and will have me coming back for more! read more

Went for the first time today, never been and I order a double bacon,avocado cheese burger. Didn't know till I got my order that they don't serve avocado's. Isn't that something you should be told when you order. Another thing I ordered a double bacon not double patty. And in my opinion I felt the whole time I was there that the staff was racist! Well. The bun appeared to have been smushed, the patty wasn't even big enough for the bun and it was pretty small for a burger patty. It was cooked properly which was good. The fries were way overcooked which I guess is how they do it there. No wayyyy is this the best burger let alone a 5 star. The bathroom was so slimy you almost slipped when you walked in. Gross. I couldn't finish my burger. They put way too much sauce(s) on my burger to the point where the bread was a soggy mess and I couldn't eat the burger without having mustard/ketchup all over my fingers. The best cheeseburger I have had in a really long time and I'm truly a burger snob! My party and I shared a large fries, they were off the chain good. The guys greeted us when we arrived with friendlier than friendly smiles, explained their menu and made us grab as many free peanuts we could fill up a bag with! We WILL be back to actually sit down and enjoy the restaurant. I would give them 5 stars if the regular cheeseburger was one larger pattie vs two smaller ones. My most recent trip to Five Guys was the worst dining experience I've ever had. I went to lunch on a Saturday afternoon after a group bicycle ride. I was still in my cycling gear. As I approached the register, the young gentleman working the register called me "Bicycle Bob". I immediately said "no". He proceeded to ramble off 5-10 other names at me. When he finished I told him my name was Chris. I was in total shock and disbelief at what had just happened. I finished paying and took a seat. About 3/4 of the way through my meal he approached me said, "hey Richard, how's your lunch"? I'm assuming "Richard" meant short for Dick. I was pissed! I didn't want to cause a scene for other patrons and I was way too mad to approach the Manager at that point. I immediately left. I plan on going back to the establishment today when I'm much calmer and approach the Manager. I can't believe I'm the only patron this young gentleman has harassed. I eat here every chance I get. I have had the burger dressed many different ways and all were delicious. I especially LOVE the fries. Fried twice and delicious. My first two visits here went wonderful. This evening ruined my satisfaction. I picked up dinner for my other half who requested a burger for his birthday. I ordered for 3 people. 2 out of the three burgers were incorrect. I had picked the order up to take home and didn't notice till we got home. My other half wouldn't eat his food because of mayo placed in the burger instead of mustard. My friends burger just had wrong veggies on it. I had to drive all the way back up there and have them remake his food. They reimbursed me for the one burger I brought back and apologized. That's not enough though. Ya know, now I have to eat cold food! Cold burger with mushy bread because it wasn't fresh any longer. And no fries because the guys ate them all! The only thing that turned out well was a shake.
