The burger was tasty although it kept sliding apart. I'm not really a fan of potatoes cooked in peanut oil, but if you like that flavor, they were good. The milkshake was delicious. The food took time to prepare which is to be expected since they are making it to your specifications. The space between tables is close, so it can be noisy if it is even half full. There is a parking lot that is shared with other nearby businesses.

You can't beat coming to Five Guys with the many tasty choices to choose from. With that said, this is the second time making this stop, with the other being at a different location. We only opted for their milkshake on this visit, and the procedure wasn't too hard to follow. Simply just order, ......... for here or to go, and then the receipt will print with a number. It only took about a couple of minutes for the drink to be ready, and one sip, oh boy, so tasty. I think I discovered a new fav in my books. I enjoy Five Guys, but something I think they need to seriously address, which they do, but to the point where they need to stress it, 100% peanut oil in fries. They even have peanuts in boxes which could make it worse for those who expose the peanut trace in the air, only if it's a severe allergy. For those with that, you're out of luck. I find that to drive out the fun for those who have it. With that, take caution and enjoy it.

I don't make it a habit to get Five Guys, because I over do it. I absolutely love their fries, and their burgers are great as well. They are far from being cheap, but the old saying is. You get why you pay for. I heard a lot about their milkshakes. I never had one, but I'll check to see if they have dairy free options.

Like most people in the east I've got a few Five Guys locations near me but I haven't been to one in several years (who knew they recently copied the milkshake idea from the other burger places like Jake's that have been doing it for years). Why you might ask? It blows my mind that they still offer so little in terms of customization. I mean sure you can get various toppings on your burger but so many other places offer different types of buns, various cheese types or even different types of burger meat. I mean Fuddruckers figured that stuff out thirty years ago. Hell, I would be happy if you could just ask any Five Guys location to not salt the living daylights out of the fries. When I asked that at my local Five Guys a few years ago I was told it was "corporate policy to apply this much salt" just like when I asked for no or low salt at this location I was told that they had no ability to do that. The basic run thru was that it was Saturday night right before eight and the place was fairly busy. The order process was the same as I had remembered it even though it was funny that the person working the register kept calling out the number of patties on each order because no one behind her was responding with the usual Stepfordian "Got It" but I digress. Considering how busy it was everything took about ten minutes which is a time frame that I can certainly live with. As for the food, the fries as mentioned prior I would have liked them more without the pounding of salt that they took but I was told that to get them without salt was not possible so what can you do? Burger #1 was a little bacon cheeseburger with BBQ sauce. The good part was that the bacon was very crispy but the bad part was that even though I asked for extra BBQ sauce I guess like getting salt free fries they just can't do it because the burger barely had a dollop of sauce on it. Burger #2 was another little bacon cheeseburger with a bunch of different things on it. This one was much better in terms of everything being done as requested. While I know that most people loooove Five Guys the chain really does nothing for me. I think it's all overpriced for what you get. The burgers are greasy, the fries are over salted and for how much BS they post on their website about choices they really don't offer very many. In reality there is only one bun, one type of cheese, one type of burger cooked one way and the fries only come one way, doused in salt. Meh, this isn't the worst but for my money there's a hell of a lot better.

As you can see I ordered a little Cajun fry!

So I wouldn't usually give the such a low score but today they screwed up my to-go order. I ordered a little Cajun fry but when I got home realized they didn't give me Cajun fries but just normal fries! The burger was excellent as always. Since they couldn't give me the Cajun fries I ordered their score is lowered! I'm not saying don't go here but make sure you watch them make your burger and fries! Not only did they mess up my fries but had I not watched them make my burger they would have given me a tomato that wasn't ripe!

Excellent shake - LOTS OF FRIES - ok burger. Good value. I like my burgers juicier but everything else was good. Sooo many fries. I did not have the peanuts. Next time.

I really like this place but it is expensive for a take out burger place, Quick service and better than any other fast food burger .

I ordered a meal, it was a slider with an extra chicken tender and came with french fries. Without a drink the meal was over $14 as is and I had to tip. So with meal and tip it was already over $18 dollars. Soda started at $3.49 and I couldn't justify paying over $20 for a simple serving of fried food. So the warm water I had out in my car sounded like a better financial option. It took almost 15 minutes for it to be completed. The girl at the counter was the best part of the visit. Very friendly and helpful. I guess I got what I was expecting when it came to the food. Chicken wasn't that great and basic fries for an unrealistic price. Adding spray painted walls and loud music wasnt doing and anything to enhance the experience. This is a fast food location, not a restaurant. I think these places calling themselves restaurants are false advertising to try to charge people like they are actually getting restaurant quality. Long story short, I can say I tried it and won't be going back. This review is in no means a reflection of the wait staff. They did their jobs fine. Its just the poor typical business model that will cause this fast food change to down the same path as most that are no longer here in Dutchess County.

To use a modern colloquialism: it's very mid. I liked the pineapple salsa. The chicken is okay, the chunks are decent sized. Portion however is a joke. The main issue is that there is NO WAY I would ever pay regular price for this. $13 each for this is outrageous. And that's without chips and guac. That would put it over $20 Last week Salsa Fresca had a similar deal and the food is better, the helpings are bigger, and they give you chips and salsa. No such courtesy here! You would need to fork over $4 more for that! In my opinion, this place isn't worth it. I'm half expecting a response to this from the owner in an attempt placate me with phoney customer service to look like they care, but the best way to do that is reevaluate your prices and stop trying to squeeze every dollar you can from your customers. And give us chips like your competitors! But I know you won't. In fact you'll probably end up raising prices. Peace out

I mentioned this cute little town because it's just one of the little niches along the Hudson river that makes a perfect little day trip. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: really quaint storefront, and first impression.Enter through the cafe door which also functions as a retail shop for handmade objects like soaps, etc. The gifts have an upscale vibe-worth a trip back. We had about 15 minutes to kill before attending a Yelp event across The Street so we opted to take the chill off by purchasing a hot beverage at Norma's. The staff is pretty laid-back, friendly, but laid-back. If you're in a hurry, I'm not sure if this would work. The hot and cold beverages are very straightforward and you can get some vegan options here. There were two behind the counter, but I felt they were a little engaged in their personal banter and we're not that attentive. Not a real sense of urgency or purpose. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but once they did give us their full attention, we let them know that we were waiting for an event across the street and didn't have a lot of time. They asked us if we'd like to sit down with our beverage and we opted to do so since it was pretty cold outside. We ordered two hot chocolate And two homemade biscuits. They gave us a table number stanchion for the table and let us know they would be bringing it to us. We did not need to wait. We took the three steps down to the main dining area, where we were pleasantly surprised that they were having a live event - in this case it was a storytelling event. There was a table available for the two of us so we sat down and quickly realized that the table was so off-balance that it post a potential safety hazard. When I placed my hot chocolate down and rested my wrist, the entire table tilted forward toward me. This is an easy thing to fix, but my guess is that it's been this way for a really long time. That's unfortunate. All that aside, the room was really cozy and had a lot of character - lots of two top and four top tables to provide a very intimate setting with each one having a good view of the small stage Minutes went by and there was no biscuit delivered. More minutes went by and we began to wonder if they had forgotten. I guess is that they weren't making the biscuits from scratch so most likely they did forget. Since we had already paid for everything with a pretty generous tip, we waited a a few more minutes. Time ran out when we noticed that the event attendees were lining up across the street. That's something we could see from the really great big windows that faced Main Street. Reluctantly, my sister and I got up from the table and headed to the counter where we had made the order. We let them know that we needed to go and asked if the biscuits were ready. They seemed perplexed at first and then a lightbulb moment. Yes. I suspect they did forget the order. I wouldn't bother so much but two biscuits and two hot chocolates. It was about $20 plus tip so when they recognized that the biscuits were still missing, they asked if we would like to take them to go. The lack of awareness was disappointing because they were clearly not busy with anything else A minute or two later, they emerged from the kitchen with a small bag, presumably containing the two biscuits. Service was definitely lacking, particularly for what is a bit of a higher priced venue. Maybe we caught them on an off night but my sense is that laid back attitude is built in to the business model. Would I return to Norma's? I'm not sure. The hot chocolate was good, not from a mix, but would it bring me back? I'll let you know.
