I'm not a fan of their recently skyrocketing prices. I'll admit, I had not eaten Five Guys in probably 5 years. So the sticker shock nearly floored me! Their pretty tasty, greasy-spoon cheeseburger used to set you back $6 and some change. But now that's how much the "Little" version costs. A cheeseburger now $11 after tax. If eateries like In-N-Out can maintain super low prices over the same period of time, for a similar quality burger, I don't see how Five Guys justifies nearly doubling their prices. In the area running errands before work. I had a phenomenal experience. Pleasantly greeted by the crew !! Lightning fast service. Order made fresh and tasted great. Cashier was rude and wearing gloves while handling the phone and cash register. Took a phone call in the middle of the order and didn't talk to us for the rest of our order. Everyone was wearing gloves while touching anything but the food. Waited nearly 20 minutes for a 16 dollar little burger and little fries. Not worth it at all. We were shocked how expensive Five Guys has got. 2 Small burgers 1 small fry and 2 small drinks for over $25. Lots of other options including table service and beer at other locations for less. The burgers are average ( cheese seems to be velveeta) and cheap and way over priced, but the fries are very good. BUT the service is terrible! Be prepared to wait while they prepare the orders that were called in while you are standing there. You can also pick your toppings to add or not add to the burger when you order, gotta live that! My favorite item to order may not be the burgers though! I truly love their Cajun fries! More like Zero.Five Guys, which is being generous. I can recall having this for my first time and thought they had some of the more delicious chain burgers I've had. Oh how the quality has declined, or at least at this location. The bacon cheeseburger I ordered wasn't served with bacon initially; when I asked for it, they handed bacon such atrocious, discolored, and dry bacon. I asked the manager if they could cook new bacon and he replied that they only make bacon in the early morning and can't/won't/unable to (as if some unmovable legal policy). Supposedly, this Five Guys has it as an impossibility to cook new bacon in the evening. Whether its such a ludicrous policy or such overwhelming lackluster service and management, this visit was and should be in the negative stars honestly. What a disservice to a once-considered-great burger place! I'll never be coming back to this location and I'm extremely likely to never return to any Five Guys. The only reason this experience gets any rating (aside Yelp disallowing so) is that I enjoyed leaving this Five Guys so much! read more

We ate at Five Guys tonight on Memorial Road. First what we went in for was a delicious fresh juicy hamburger. We accomplished a delicious burger plus incredibly delicious perfect French fries. But beyond great food, we found four young men working the crew shift. All perfectly polite, friendly, all wearing masks, social distancing, yet helpful, and courteous. Each looking at you and interacting. So many young hide and mumble behind their masks now days, not here. The burger was great, but we'll be back for the service! They're freshly made with a nice variety of toppings, and their fries are fresh and thick cut. With that said, 2012 Jenn M. hadn't really had many burgers (aside from the McDouble or Whopper Jr.) so of course he'd think this place was the greatest thing evar. Many years (and burgers) later, I still think 5 Guys is a good burger, but there are better options. What separates them from others is the friendly people and some of the best fries in town. While I enjoy going to 5G's I sometimes skip over them in favor of other options because of three things: pricing, consistency, and taste. Price-wise, I like coming here when I'm sharing a meal (i.e. fries) with someone. Ordering two burgers and a small (lol "small") Cajun style fries is an excellent and cost-efficient lunch date option. If I'm ordering a burger and fries for myself, however, I tend to become more Scrooge-like and start racking my brain with whether spending ~$11 for a Little Bacon Burger and fries is worth it.  Yes, other burger places can cost around this much as well but, from what I've seen, other burger places also tend to have fancier burgers for the same price. In terms of consistency, most of the locations I've visited are hit-and-miss. My most recent visit was a definite hit, with the burger neatly stacked and fries generously scooped into the bag. Other times, I'll have received a mess of a burger - sloppily assembled, with toppings missing or outside the bun. And then there will be times where I'll get the dinkiest portion of fries, barely filling the small cup and with no fries in the bag. Finally, the taste of a burger from 5 Guys, while good, is basically what I've come to expect from a burger place. What really sets this place apart are the fries. Cajun style fries are a gift, one that shouldn't be forsaken. Whenever I go to 5 Guys, it's cause I'm craving those delicious fries. There are moments when the burgers are neat, and the fries are plenty. Those moments don't happen all the time but when they do, you're bound to have a good time. You'll quickly forget about all those other so-so times when you're chomping down on an awesomely built burger and sticking your hand into a bag of endless fries. This one was hard. I finally tried Five Guys and honestly I really enjoyed it! For my build your own burger, I added cheese, mushrooms and grilled onions. It was delicious. Believe it or not this was my first visit to a Five Guys location. So when I found myself craving a juicy burger, I decided to try them out. The staff greeted me warmly and asked if I had been in before right away. I advised I had not and she mentioned a few things I should try. I ended up getting the little bacon burger and a "little" fry. The burger was good, but nothing spectacular. I wish the cheese was melted onto the party while cooking because it was still not all the way melted when I went in for a bite. I like the fact that you can add so many different toppings for free, but let's be honest...when you spend so much on a burger, it should come with a $1 bill on top as a garnish. Now the Cajun fries were really good! I wish they were a bit crisper for my personal taste, but I know they were cooked the way they are intended to be. They were yummy. My first visit to this "Five Guys" was at 3:30pm on New Years Day. It was empty, but the staff was quick to greet, cook and serve - bonus! We ordered the cheese dog and regular cheeseburger with fries. I had forgotten how large the regular cheeseburger was and with the double patty, it was too much. However it was good, as usual for a five guys. I just need to remember to order the single patty cheeseburger next time. I also forgot how many french fries are served with an order and as you can see from my pictures, a party of four would not need to get more than one order of fries. Overall, I think five guys has a good burger and I love the fresh-cut fries, just save yourself some money and get the single patty and one order of fries to share about two or three people. read more

Not too much to say, except the fresh jalapeño for the sandwiches, malt vinegar for the fries, peanuts for fun, and the absurd number of soda options are amazing. These burgers are so gross, but so am I. Juicy and thick and full of whatever TF you want. As with all Five Guys, the burgers and fries are all made to order, fast food rules be damned. Much of the time, I order online and pick it up. And even then, it seems like the team there tries to prepare in the appropriate time frame for pick-up that you're given. So once I arrive, it hasn't been sitting there. In fact, it usually looks like they're just finishing it up or in the middle of making it. Are these gourmet 5 star ingredient burgers? What, no. When we want a really good (cheese) / hamburger we go here. We usually take it to go (we live a bit far), so be sure to ask them the separate out the veggies form the burger, cheese, and bun. It'll taste sssoooo much better when you get home. The fries are "natural" and tasty. We always ask for a small amount of spices. The "new" shakes are so-so. I'd get my shake fix somewhere else.
