Milford Five Guys Burgers -- Junction Plaza: 9 Medway Road / Route 109, Milford             Interior

Five Guys I always seem to forget about, even though I have finally decided they are my favorite of the competition around. Their burgers are just more flavorful and more filling than those at Smashburger, Wahlburgers, Mooyah, Jake's Wayback's, and any of the other chains that are comparable. Five Guys consistently has efficient service and clean restaurants as well. This particular location is on Route 109 in Milford, in the plaza with the Big Y Supermarket and several other smaller shops including a Rite Aid and Dollar General. Decent interior. Plenty of tables and chairs throughout. Not the most comfortable or cozy fast food restaurant by any means. No booths and the chairs are honestly as hard as rocks! Would definitely hope Five Guys doesn't open any more restaurants with these seating types. Food is expected. Burgers are definitely not healthy at all, but fine to have once in a while. They are flavorful and filling. Service is pretty good at this specific location. Employees seem efficient and happy. Nothing bad here. A good place for quick burgers in Milford. 4 stars. Nothing special but nothing negative either!

Five guys has delicious shakes and actually closes when they say they're closing not an hour before!

I like 5 Guys burgers and fries. I also like the fancy soda machine! I always get the "littles" bc 2 patties is too much for me. Hubby and I split fries. We tried to go to another place that has burgers and shakes with table service a few doors down. After been seated and our order taken we were told the grill was closed. We thought where else can we get a quick meal. Five Guys! We walked in at 9:32PM and got great service; the cashier even completed my nails. We know you close at 10 and we appreciate your grill still being open at 930 and even 955 when some other customers came in. The service is always great! The burgers and shakes are always fresh and flavorful and the french fry portions go above and beyond, I love potatoes in all forms. Thank you for your consistent quality in meals and service.

Very clean inside with respectful employees. The food is the same quality and price as any other location. Overall no complaints.

Small but cozy eatery/drinkery in a residential neighborhood. No parking near the building, but…read morethere's an easy lot just around the corner. Lots of knock knacks on the walls, many related to beer and trains. Deep menu of comfort food made from scratch. Good draft beer list. -- Depot Burger: Their more ambitious of two regular menu burgers (they also have some as specials) was a visual treat in a pillowy Portuguese muffin. This provided a full size patty cooked to medium rare with juices trickling from the gentle, loosely packed beef. Full-coverage Vermont cheddar added silky richness, red onion jam added contrast, and tomato and arugula added vegetation. The star, at least visually, was the bacon: crisp, yet soft and bendable, with glorious color. Flavor was even better, with a deliciously strong cure. The whole package worked beautifully. One of the better burgers I've had this year for sure. -- Fries (a $2 add-on to the burger): A big stack, hand-cut (they also have hand-cut sweet potato fries), cooked just to the point of crispness while leaving a little droop and fluff. Nicely seasoned. -- Beer: I was thrilled to see a Hill Farmstead Double Nelson on the tap list. Smooth, strong, and delicious. -- Buffalo Wings: Looked and felt a little different, so I asked. Baked, then fried, yielding some charred crust on the outside and some tenderness within. Good wings, but with great sauces: the homemade Buffalo sauce had some serious kick, some complexity (little bits of unknown herbs), and some vinegar too. Homemade blue cheese thick and zesty. On Mondays, $1 each in batches of 6 or more, and with a guest flavor on top of their interesting fleet (ginger is next). -- Quahog: A well-rounded stuffed pile with bits of chorizo crispily mixed in, served with lemon wedge. It needed it for moisture, but a formidable offering that still satisfied. -- Caesar Salad: A large one with two well-layered hunks of Romaine, with a zippy (maybe mustard-infused) dressing and a dense coverage of crispy pancetta. Numerous homemade, dice-sized, well-seasoned croutons. No additional Parm and no anchovy pieces I could detect on their, but that dressing didn't let me down. A different kind of Caesar, but a very enjoyable one. -- Steak Tips: Had as an add-on to the salad, this provided a taste without committing to a full order. These don't make my steak tips pantheon (Champions, Tuckaway Tavern, New Bridge Cafe), but decent. Cooked a bit past the medium rare but still somewhat juicy. Nice flavor too, but subtle. I wouldn't get these again; too many better things on the menu. Service at the bar was cordial and attentive on both visits. Friendly staff all around. Not everything was perfect, but so much of it was (and no duds) that it's impossible not to drop a 5 based on the overall quality of every aspect.

My eggplant ciabatta was so yummy. Upcharge for side salads but it's worth it. Daily specials are a great add to the usual. It's a great find off the beaten path. Restaurant has a parking lot by the train tracks. Tented area is well heated and doubles the capacity of the place.

Four of us splitting them so one whipped feta cheese dip wasn't enough but we ordered another. My friend got the chicken parm which she really liked with the pesto pasta underneath. While a few of us split some pizzas. We got a large half and half of buffalo chicken and the primo pepperoni pizza. Then we wanted to try the sweet ricotta and vodka pizza special so we got a small. The special was so good!!!!!! Plus the other two are our favs so we knew they'd be good. Crust is yummy too. We also split the raspberry chocolate cake which was delicious. Our server Theo was also super helpful and took good care of us. Check out this place for a good dinner and support a local business!

The inside of the restaurant definitely has a cool vibe and was a nice size. I do recommend making a reservation online in advance. At the end of the day I gave this spot a 3 only because the food was mediocre. I ordered a custom ricotta and pepperoni pizza and shared some fries. Both left me feeling disappointed (and I am not a picky pizza person, trust me).

The buffalo chicken mac and cheese is great when the blue cheese crumbles are remembered, the chicken birria tacos can be flavorful but often missing the chipotle sauce or broth (or both!), and the southern fried chicken is frequently missing the gravy. The baja fish tacos can be soggy with inconsistent portions, and the honey mustard wrap is often more salad than chicken. Checking your order before leaving can help prevent some of these oversights. And again, when the kitchen gets these things right, you're in for a delicious meal. Some other items we love that haven't become takeout blunders yet include the burgers, the nashville hot chicken sandwich, the greek salad, and garlic parm fries. The southwest steak and avocado bowl, however, is overpriced for the small amount of steak, and the vegetable sides need much more seasoning. Overall, this place has a lot of potential and some truly great menu items, but the lack of consistency makes it hard to fully recommend.
