I had the chicken bowl it was a somewhat small serving of chicken. I moved it from the bowl to cut it up. I ended up eating just the chicken, sour cream and beans. I asked for less rice but the bowl is mostly rice so I don't think they accommodated that request. Corn was dry. Lettuce is iceberg and minimal. If you like rice this would be a good choice.

That killed it for me to buy more than one. After checking out Yelp photos and the online menu first upon arrival, I settled on the "New York Style" hot dog with small fry (3.50) and no drink. It came out to $15. It took a little while to get my order. I was there ordering with the cashier before some guy came after to order by kiosk which got his order first. My hotdog was loaded and tasted amazing. After finishing, I wish I had another because I wasn't full even after the fries. But I could never pay $20 for 2 hotdogs. Shop was clean and cute inside. Cashier was nice. A fairly new resident recommended the chicken bowl next time. The only other location is on the Natick Mall. They would be more busy if they come down $3-$4. Hope they aren't wasting their toppings with these prices.

Their service is hit or miss however, the cashiers have never been super warm, and there are times Itll take us 25 minutes to get 2 hot dogs and there won't be many people waiting - but when we're not in a hurry it's worth the wait, and when we're are in a hurry, they offer online ordering! I love the very old school diner vibe they have, the train inside is super cute and always gives us something to look at.

My husband had the coney dog, he noted that a good hotdog needed a good roll. Neither the hot dog or cheeseburger had a good roll. He had a single burger, and to tell the truth, he would have had better food at McDonald's. at least there the bun would be proportionate to the burger. the sweet potato fries with maple syrup were interesting, but as the onion rings a bit overcooked. the reviews led us to try this resturant. The parking in the area isn't great and despite the staff and environment we will not return, nor will recommend this "best hot dog" place to anyone we know Lynne

This is a review for breakfast. We drove by and noticed a…read moresign saying that they now serve breakfast. Stop in on a Sunday morning and since they re-did the road, it looks like parking is tight, but it's not. Wasn't crowded when we went in, and there's bar seating, tall table and regular table height seating. We were greeted right away handed menus and ordered coffee's to start. Menu is simple one page deal with interesting items. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelette and my wife ordered a breakfast bowl. For not being busy, it took a little longer than it should for the food to arrive but no problem. Both items were very good and would recommend. The home fries were also very good. The coffee was delicious but could of been a little warmer.they have pancakes, but I didn't noticed that toppings, like blueberries and such were available. Finally made it to this Route 56 institution after hearing about it for years. Got two dogs: the…read moreclassic with their Famous BBQ sauce, and the "Everyting Plus" -- BBQ, onions, relish, and mustard. Both were exactly what a roadside hot dog should be -- simple, unfussy, and clearly built around that sauce as the star of the show. Here's the thing that surprised me, and honestly the reason I'm writing this review: I asked the folks working the counter about the sauce, and they told me it's actually a Korean BBQ sauce, and that the family running the place is Korean. Zero problem with that from me -- if anything it makes the sauce more interesting -- but I went back and read a stack of reviews here before my visit, and not a single one mentions this. Every review talks about the "sweet, molasses-y, nostalgic BBQ sauce that tastes like childhood," decades of regulars, the whole Americana roadside-stand thing -- but nobody's ever put two and two together on where that sauce actually comes from or who's actually making it. Kind of a funny blind spot for a place this well-loved and well-documented. It also sounds like there's real layered history here that nobody's nailed down publicly -- the current owner (also named Annie, no relation) has run it since 2005, but the name and building go back further, possibly to a different name and a different original "Annie" before that, with some sources pointing to WWII-era roots and others to the 1950s as "Silver Grill." Old signage on the building references press coverage from Yankee Magazine, the Boston Globe, and the Telegram & Gazette, so this place has clearly had its moment in the regional spotlight more than once. If anyone in the comments knows the fuller ownership history -- who ran it between the original Annie and the current one, when the Korean family took over, or how the sauce recipe evolved -- I'd genuinely love to hear it. This feels like a piece of Central Mass food history that's never been fully written down, and I'd love to help fill in the gaps. Bottom line: great dogs, better sauce, and a story that deserves more digging.

Hot dogs are lightly "grilled" then kept in a steamer along with the pre warmed buns. Bbq sauce is just bbq sauce nothing special along with the rest of the toppings. Four hot dogs with 2 root beer cost me over $22 and the dogs were $3.60 a piece so do the math. The root beer was all marketing - no flavor. It's a pretty drive and worth it to say you did it - it wasn't gross, but it is not worth driving halfway across the state for...

Each time I've been heading out, I'd tell myself, "I'll stop on the way back." But every time, I'd be so tired from my ride or just really wanted to get into a hot shower, that I'd murmur to myself, "Next time." Well, after this scenario played itself out for the umpteenth time, I decided to ride out to it by way of Arcadia. OMFG! Was this place ever so good! The absolutely best French Fries I've ever eaten and after looking at the menu, I can understand why. Being a small food truck, they probably only have one fryolator. So everything gets cooked in the oil they use. The Hot Dog I ordered was the BBQ Dawgg. A beef Hot Dog wrapped in Bacon and then deep fried until the Bacon is crispy. Into a tasty, but not overly huge Bun and topped with grilled Onions and BBQ Sauce. So you get the Bacon fat and Hot Dog fat mixing in with whatever kind of oil they are using, which imparts all those flavors into the French Fries. Service is fast and friendly.
