Quick and good--and I'm a vegetarian---I had a grilled cheese and fries which was really good, and somehow different from other grilled cheese sandwiches. They also have a veggie sandwich. more like 3.5, but alas..... before the onslaught begins let me just state for the record that i don't dig on red meat, but in continuing the debate over between in and out v. five guys, i took the wife to five guys to get her verdict (as she has had in and out many times in the past). and her verdict was.......... in and out. KEEP YOUR DAMN HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS. she said it was a good burger..... pretty darn good, but not better than in and out. my little one had the big hot dog that they slice down the middle, which momma and child both concurred that the hot dog was good. i had to settle for a tiny, sad excuse of a grilled cheese something or other. if a word comes to mind - sucks would be it, but what can you expect from a burger joint? the fries were good and i tried to stop my wife from ordering 3 (as the orders are jammed in cup, which are then jammed into paper bags, and then have more fries jammed on top) when 2 would have sufficed. why they bother using the cups leaves me nonplussed.... just shove em all in the freaking bag. the fries are just like boardwalk fries and may have you yearning for the beach, but nothing special. there is also a giant box of peanuts that you can help yourself to while you await your number to be called. they are your average plain old peanut. i guess it's there as some kind of tie in to the fact that they use peanut oil on everything........ something that's a little thing of importance to those who are allergic to peanuts/peanut by products. so if you are one of these folks - stay away! if not, come on and get yourself a burger with a big greasy bag of fries. read more

Five Guys is one of my favorite places to stop for a burger. I think they have one of the best burgers around and I hate saying that about a chain fast food place. They have a simple menu and do everything well. I like the fries and the peanuts to snack on. Definitely a thing to try if you haven't had Five Guys before, but bring your appetite. read more

I went into the Five Guys restaurant in Laurel, Maryland around 6:40 PM on 5/27/2021 to purchase food for myself and my family. When I get to the register the young lady behind the register begins to take my order, but before I can even get a 6th word out to describe the remaining menu items I wanted to purchase, one of the other employees walks over from the food prep table, embarrassingly taps the cashier on the shoulder, rudely points at me as I'm standing on the other side of the plastic barrier and passively aggressively asks the cashier taking my order, "what's wrong with this picture here?!" The cashier then looks at me and shrugs as a gesture of, "I don't know" but then goes on to say, "Oh, he doesn't have a mask on." The other employee walks back to the prep table and the cashier then begrudgingly says to me, "I can't take your order if you don't have a mask on." I tell the cashier, "I have a respiratory medical issue so I do not wear masks. And I then proceed to notify her that, "the governor of the state of Maryland removed the indoor and outdoor mask mandate for ALL Marylanders." Cashier then looks at the other employee at the food prep counter and confusingly replies to me with a shrug, "I just work here." I then look to the rude employee and ask her politely, "are you aware that the governor of the state of Maryland has removed the indoor/outdoor mask mandate?" Rude employee who later told me her name is Tara then replies, "We were told not to serve customers who don't have masks on." Baffled and appalled that I would be refused service simply because I can't wear a mask and amazed that this business was totally ignoring current CDC and State health guidance, I then reply, "So you are not going to provide me with service?" She replies, "No!" I, not wanting to make a scene or be disrespectful, reply back, "okay." Angered, embarrassed, and upset for myself and the cashier who was also disrespected and seemingly embarrassed by her coworker's actions during the brief exchange, I exit the restaurant and walk to my vehicle. I sit in my vehicle and immediately use my phone to visit the Five Guys website to research Five Guys' restaurant policy regarding masks. I read the Five Guys Covid-19 safety measures webpage, watch their YouTube video and read a Five Guys memo regarding their Covid-19 statement and nowhere on the Five Guys website or any materials Five Guys has written or produced explicitly states that guests MUST wear masks or be refused service. It does not say that ANYWHERE. Nor does it state that guests or employees of Five Guys should be made to feel uncomfortable and othered during our interactions with staff. I feel the actions of Tara, the Five Guys employee, were totally disrespectful and shameful. She overstepped her bounds, and as a result of that I - a person who used to love Five Guys' food, atmosphere and service - will not ever dine at ANY Five Guys again and I will tell my family to do the same. I am ashamed of the terrible customer service that was given, and in the future will just travel a little further down Route 1 to spend my money at Chic-Fil-A. read more

Definitely one of the best Five Guys locations I've ever been to! The food is consistently delicious and prepared quickly, no matter how busy the restaurant is. The staff is always pleasant and helpful, while the restaurant is clean and inviting. My mom and I love to go here when we are craving something quick but still delicious. read more

I love five guys. It's always a solid burger, never regrettable like McDonald's or burger king. Afterwards you're satisfied instead of your decision of eating here weighing heavy on your conscience.
