It's 90 degrees outside, but we walked inside to find the restaurant to be colder than a metal toilet seat on the shady side of an iceberg! For the money, the meal is disproportionately expensive. I get the fries in the bottom of the bag, cool, but potatoes are cheap on every level. I get that beef is only growing in cost, so I understand that part. Fresh toppings are average priced, we all know that cost. THE PROBLEM. Your bun. Why would you cut corners here? This is terrible. I got home with my takeout and it was basically a pre-dipped French dip. I just paid $25 to use my own bun at home. You've lost my business for good. My fingers literally sank through your bun (yes I was 3 minutes early for my pickup) bc you don't even bother to toast it. Not acceptable for the money. Do better. You intentionally (everyone gets the same bottom of bag fries) load it with fries to makeup for a lack of effort on your bun and it shows. Toppings were as expected. I waited patiently as they were busy. But I waited 20 minutes after I got my food and asked 4 times for my milkshakes(2). When I finally got home and opened my burger, it was not only NOT a bacon cheese burger. But it had the wrong toppings and A-1 sauce that I absolutely did not order. After calming from that situation, I decided to live with it. Then to my surprise, the damn thing was RAW in the middle!! Not pink, but absolutely raw. And it only cost me $50. On June 4, 2025 (around 9pm) I unfortunately had quite the difficult experience with Five Guys on West Main. After a long day, I placed a Doordash order to be delivered to my place of work. Upon receiving my meal I was met with the realization, coupled with disappointment, that the bacon cheeseburger I ordered did not have BACON or BARBECUE or LETTUCE. As well the regular size fry I had paid for was a LITTLE fry. Yet, once I called the location to share the concerning revelations, I was met on the phone with a female whose name from what I could hear was Bob. Bob while she lacked emotion for the situation, informed me that she could not replace my meal and could not help me in any way for her store's mistake. If you don't have a large appetite, order the "little cheeseburger" -- you'll still have plenty! I love all the free toppings -- tomatoes and mushrooms are free items! Like this chain a lot, this new store is a good example. The cheese burger was tasty, prepared quickly. The fries as expected were crisp and tasty. The table we sat had not been wiped clean, but the store was clean, and very tidy looking behind the counter in the kitchen. The ketchup was out, I let the staff know and it was replaced quickly. Love the burgers here, they're always made fresh to order- as you can watch them frying up your burger! They're fun to watch too, usually the guys flipping burgers are a little comical. The fries are crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and just the right amount of salty! If you have peanut allergies- stay away (and they even have the sign on the outside door), they have peanuts in the shell available to eat while you're waiting for your burgers. I like that you can choose all the toppings you want for no extra charge. The burgers aren't the cheapest for fast food, but when you figure you can get grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and onion if you so dare you're getting a pretty good deal! If you don't want two patties get the Little Burger. Standard burger comes with two. Also the fries are enormous so if you don't want a ton, the small is just fine. But Five Guys is that rare type of fast food that stands out as unique, fitting it more with establishments such as In-N-Out, rather than McDonald's. I could talk at length here, so for the sake of organization, I will break down it's ranking into a few categories. 1. Food: Five Guys has the type of menu that I like: limited, but specialized. Five guys offers essentially three items (if you discount their meager vegetarian options): burgers, fries, and shakes. Rather than offering a plethora of meats and sandwiches, they offer an expansive list of toppings. On your burger, you can expect the traditional lettuce, tomato, ketchup options, but also some more rare treats like sauteed mushrooms, onions, relish and even A1 sauce (if you've never had a burger soaked with A1 sauce, you're missing an imperative life experience). The fries are basic but high quality. The shakes are delicious and, again, may be customized to any taste profile. Here's my personal meal recommendation: Double patty burger, sauteed mushrooms and onions, mayo, and A1 sauce; small fry; peanut butter, banana, chocolate shake; peanuts from the peanut bin (free!). This meal will run you a painful $14, even with the small fry and shake; however, take my word for it. You will not regret this meal. Five Guys is pricey, but it's the kind of pricey where you still walk away satisfied, rather than regretful. 2. Speed: Not much to say here. Five guys is generally very quick. You can be sitting down with your food in under ten minutes. Not as quick as Mickey D's to be sure, but if you're headed to Five Guys, I'd guess you're looking for quality over speed. Still, it beats out any sit-down restaurant. 3. Service: Five Guys employees always seem happy you're there, or at least happy THEY'RE there. It looks like a fun workplace. I've never been a fry-cook so I'm not sure, but they seem to make the most of it and serve you with a smile. I would suggest asking for recommendations as well. Since they have so many customization options, I'd trust the chefs on their tastes. So run-down: Come here to get one heckuva tasty burger, with a lot of customization. Bring a fair amount of cash, especially if dining for two. Two full meals can run you close to $25 bucks or more. Think of it as "gourmet" fast food (not really, but you get the idea). Five guys is an establishment that has truly honed their craft and branded consistently. No matter the location you visit you are guaranteed delicious scented vintage atmospheres paired with a hard working staff. We lived closed to one in Wyoming, mi and it was a routine grab and go when we craved a filling comfort food. The burgers are huge and made fresh in front of you. If you are familiar with the west coast chain: In&Out it's set up very similar. The regular burgers are 2 patties so if your the type that has eyes bigger than your stomach go for the "little" which is a standard single patty. They offer a large selection of condiments and toppings and every order to a "build it yourself" menu item. Another tip I'd offer is to order a small fry unless your REALLY hungry... they fill a cup and then always dump another scoop in the bag... they truly take their potato's seriously. Going as far as listing on the walls where the potato's are from and create a maze in the restaurant with bulk stacks of the bags. The milkshakes are similar to the quality of Culver's. It's fast food but not fake food. Seems silly to write a review on a household chain but if your questioning if it's worth deviating from swinging by McDonald's there's no comparison at all, five guys wins. Staff is friendly. Kitchen runs like a watch and the restaurant including the bathroom is always tidy. read more

Five Guys has become one of my favorite places to get a burger from. Their fries are my favorite. A regular fry is normally enough for 2 people to split. I went here the other day and got a side of fries, and it was enough to feed 5 people, they almost filled the bag half full with fries! The staff are super friendly and seem to enjoy their job. I LOVE Five Guys burgers. This store's on line ordering leave MUCH to be desired. We didn't get what we ordered. Bacon wrapped cheese dog should be an OBVIOUS easy order. But alas it didn't have ANY bacon. The little BACON burger was, you guessed it WITHOUT BACON!!! As it was an online order we drove off without checking because the order was simple.....NEVER again. Stopped in on Friday night to grab a burger after a basketball game. Usually impressed, but this time I was not. Slow is not the right word to describe the service. Five guys standing around while one girl tried her best on the grill. The food was ok. But the place was a disaster. Not a clean table in sight. Terrible service. Called 15 minutes prior to picking up for a pick up order. When arrived I paid for my order. As I waited I noticed my order just sitting on the back counter and waited for 10 minutes for them to give me my bag of food. The service here is nice and quick, when I make my once-in-a-blue-moon trip I get the little bacon cheeseburger because I have a small appetite I only want one patty (regular burgers have two patties.) Food came out kind of out of order but the wait wasn't long at all. I was a little disappointed that my cheese wasn't really melted but as fast as it came out I wasn't too surprised. However, their fries are amazing and they let you know what farm you're eating from! A large fry looks like it comes in a 20 oz. cup with some extra thrown in as well which is perfect for sharing! Their drink selection varies from milkshakes to the coke machines that have a ton of different options from soda to soda water (which is nice if you don't drink soda.)As for the inside and placing it's generally clean on the inside; they do allow you to scoop some peanuts and eat while you wait if you want so sometimes there's peanut shells on the tables. read more

I usually love five guys however I was highly disappointed with my last meal. I ordered from door dash a burger with no cheese, mayo, lettuce, pickles, ketchup, and mushrooms. My burger was completely messed up it came with cheese I can not eat cheese being lactose intolerant and cheese is super hard to get off a burger. Was pretty excited to try but wouldn't be a first choice on a family night. Split a large fries which were tasty, the two burgers were borderline fast-food quality but not bad. No kids priced items, so two full size brats it was for them. Turns out, one would have been plenty. Three drinks, two adults and two young children was $38 out the door.
