I've said for years 5 guys have my favorite fries. They're usually so crispy, but I just had some of the worst fries I've ever had in my life. This is the 3rd time that this has happened at this location. The fries are cooked like 60% literally taste raw I got a large fry and threw more than half the bag out because they were disgusting. Why are they not cooking the fries all the way through? I took a video of how disgusting it was. Large fry felt like 3 pounds of fries literally all of them wet and soggy. Ruined my afternoon. i came in there today and i ordered a bacon cheeseburger meal.. to start off the dining area was SPOTLESS, it was the cleanest five guys i've been to. the lady named sasha (who took my order) was SO nice, she really made sure everything about my order was correct. she offered me other items (one which i said yes to.. a chocolate milkshake) and i'm happy she recommended that it was very yummy. my food was HOT and DELICIOUS. 10/10 costumer service from sasha. It's five guys, so if you don't like fresh burgers made just the way you want you then, then stay far away. I always get a double cheeseburger, on a lettuce bun (no one does it like five guys!), tomato, pickle, jalapeño, and mustard. I also enjoy their French fries- I put the malt vinegar all over them, so yummy! I like this location because my order is always exactly how I ordered it- and they give me ALOT of fries! Every famous fast food place is nothing compared to this restaurant! I don't know if it was that I was longing to go here for a while but I was ecstatic to go here today. Coming to this burger franchise is great. You're not only helping support a fairly independent company but the service and the way they treat you is incomparable to other burger joints. Forgetting about how the place works with getting a burger and drinks I was happy to find out though the burgers may be a little pricey the ingredients you ask them to put on them are free! Also just to mention the drinks are surprisingly affordable and the fries are legendary and so tasty. (Both the beef meat and the fries are crafted right there in the restaurant so no pre-made patties or over-heated and stale fries for you!). Go here if you have the chance. I was psyched when I found out the one in this place is still standing (I was admittedly disappointed the one closer to me closed down recently) and to support a restaurant like this is helping you get tasty grub and happy workers continue doing their great jobs. Would be nice if they had value meals, Be prepared to spend over $20 for 2 burgers an order of fries and 2 drinks. Everyone who I talk to dogs on Five Guys, but the meal I had from here was not bad at all. I liked my burger - nothing over the top special but a solid burger among these kinds of places - and I really liked the fries. The service could be better; no one is too friendly. I was also surprised how expensive just a burger and fries were. The price was the main downfall for me, but still not breaking the bank. I'm not some kid living from paycheck to paycheck and watching where I spend every dollar. I can afford to buy any meal I want. However these folks have finally reached my value/price limit. I love Five Guys. I started going to them when they opened their first shop in Arlington, VA. I love the burgers and the bun they use. I love the Cajun fries, I love the look of the place. I even love the background music. Today I visited and it was exactly as expected. My standard double cheeseburger, small Cajun fries and small drink were all four stars. The service was no problem. The place was clean. HOWEVER, THE MEAL I JUST DESCRIBED WAS $13.25! THAT'S OVER THE TOP FOR ME. A FAMILY OF FIVE SITTING NEXT TO ME TOOK ONE LOOK AT THEIR BILL AND SAID NEVER AGAIN! I'm reducing my rating to three stars based upon their value not the quality of their food. read more

First, I will start off by saying, the burgers are absolutely delicious. Unfortunately that's the only thing good about this place I can say. The Five Guys in Broomall is disgusting. You walk in, and it is so greasy in there I have never seen anything like it. You actually slide across the floor from the grease. Second, the fries suck. So I've heard about Five Guys and everybody says it's the best for burgers. Since I'm over 988 miles away from the nearest In-N-Out, I figured I'd try them out. I'm impressed. But I may be the only one who is. There were more staff in the store for the 30 minutes I was there than there were total customers. Two were there when I arrived, nobody else came after me. The burger was decent, the price was decent. I don't eat fries, so I can't comment on them. I was impressed by the nutritional information they provided. Five Guys has nearly an infinite number of variations you can order, and they provided the calories supplied by each and every ingredient. You could totally add them up and know how many calories you are eating. I didn't, but you could. But they didn't say anything about the calories of their free all-you-can grab roasted and salted peanuts in the shell. read more

I visited on the night of 4/30/20, when there was a power outage across Downingtown during quarantine due to a windy storm. Many restaurants were closed without power. I stopped at Five Guys and it was clear they were extremely busy between call in orders for pick up, Grub Hub / other delivery options, and in-person orders such as myself. The staff was facing some difficulties and the environment was hectic - the milkshake machine was having problems, they were out of some ingredients, customers were becoming impatient. Despite this, the staff remained calm, worked 100 miles per hour, and served every customer with a smile (under their masks, of course!) While I can't say the service was fast, the employees worked so hard to fill every order accurately and quickly. These are hard times, and I just want to thank last night's staff for their hard work to keep customers happy and full. read more

This review goes to any parents with young children. I have been to this five guys on a few occasions over the last few years. The food has always been good for what it is, and I have no complaints about the food. My complaint lies with the staff. My wife and I are often in the shopping center on the weekend with our two small children hitting the various stores. We often pass the five guys as it's in the corner of the L shaped shopping center. Today while passing by the five guys with our children we could hear several of the the five guys employees having a rather vocal conversation. It was nothing bit profanity consisting of numerous f-bombs. I get people have bad days. But if we can hear you all the way up by hand & stone screaming the f-word at each other maybe you ought to keep it down. Normally I wouldn't take the time to write a review like this, but sadly this isn't the first time we have overhead arguments like this coming from the folks over at five guys. read more

I love me some Five Guys!!! The burgers are not too thick, not too thin and you can pack on as many fixins as you want. The secret to the fries is peanut oil, and man does it make a rich yummy difference. If you are craving a drippy and delicious burger, look no further. This place is the winner, over and over and over! The Place: Burger joint with a charged attitude. Open kitchen, tile walls. Can get noisy/bustling. Peanuts along the columns and sacs of potatoes to the side. Burger drawings pinned to a section of the wall. This place emanates a sort of USA home town pride. Service: Very friendly, direct and optimistic! They have a system and it works. Quality: The burgers, fries and everything in between is pretty basic; straight forward and fresh. My favorite are the fresh cut fries made in peanut oil. Oil makes such a difference, it can dictate weather you'll feel sluggish or energized a few hours later. Value: Doesn't get any better. Aside from paying extra for bacon and cheese everything else stacked is inclusive! Worth every penny here and wont break the bank. My Typical Visit: Bacon cheese all the way (Meaning put almost everything on it) then I add some more, pair it with a fountain drink and split cajun fries with whomever is with me. What makes it a winner: Consistency. I always know what to get and they always execute without issue. Caution: Stay away if you have peanut allergies. They got peanuts and the fries that are made in peanut oil. Please don't be that person who walks in and complains about the peanuts, peanuts are all over the place. They missed our order. I ordered, paid, sat down and then waited 10 minutes. After it became abundantly clear that our food wasn't coming I went up and asked. Apparently our order had vanished into the aether--as had the order of the person in front of us in line. The young woman politely said that they would make them right now. So I waited another 4 minutes and then tore into a burger missing all of the toppings I had asked for as I was too hungry to care any more. I usually end up here on weekday afternoons. It's hardly ever crowded, and I get my order quickly. Room for probably twenty people to eat in, which I do consistently when I visit. The area is clean, and the staff has been friendly in my experience. I enjoy the big burgers and generous helping of fries for any order really. Great juicy hot burgers with crispy fresh French fries. On this visit, the kitchen was being run by a guy who put a lot of hustle in his work when the place filled up.
