Confusing menu and harsh environment. This was my second go at this location and I got a different story about the "All the Way" vs. "Everything". I ordered an everything cheeseburger without tomatoes and an all the way cheeseburger. Seemed simple enough. She tells me, Everything and All the Way are the same thing. I just stared at her. Menu is listed as "EVERYTHING or ALL THE WAY receives only toppings in black." That reads as the following: "only the toppings listed in the black text are considered an "All the Way" burger. Also, they don't even define what an Everything is. You'd think you get every topping, but apparently not. Not a very tasty burger given all the hoopla. Fries were good at first, but more than half were soggy or bready-tasting. Also, no tarter sauce? Really? "...Yeah, you're like the 5th person who's asked for tarter for their fries today." hmmm, you'd think maybe you can get some tarter on the menu. i'll stick with Dicks or Red Mill for the price and lack of flourescent light. I've enjoyed the multiple experiences of eating in at the Five Guys Burgers and Fries Bothell location. I always order a small fry, drink, and petite burger and leave nice and full! Though it does take a little longer than a normal fast-food chain, the food comes out hot, fresh, and usually tons of extra fries. Plus this location has an amazing soda-pop machine that allows you to mix flavors to create your own concoction - how cool is that! I know that some people will have issues with the floor being messy/dirty, but really that is part of the atmosphere. . . suppose to toss the peanut shells on the floor. It is on the moderate to high side for a fast food chain, but you're also getting an experience. Definitely, not a place I go often, but do enjoy it from time-to-time. So I have been in 3 different locations over the past few weeks and my opinion is about the same for all. It's an average burger joint with a promise hard to keep. The burger- there are a lot of better places. This is a traditional flat top prepared burger. A decent mix of meat, but they kill it on the flat top. For six to eight bucks, I'd rather pay ten at a higher level establishment. The fries- these are exceptional with one major exception. They all put way too much salt on. What's funny is tonight the manager or lead was having her dinner and instructed the guy to lightly salt....if an employee wants light salt why wouldnt everyone? Easy to add if you want more, but a bitch to remove when there is too much. The milkshake is the only item I have not "but" comments on. Creamy and flavorful. A decent shake worthy to order. The service was SLOW, the fries were cold. The burgers were tasteless and because they could only make 1 shake at a time, the shakes were melted by the time (35minutes) our order was complete. Not to say this place is completely unredeemable, but this is the worst Five Guys I've ever been to. This is my third and last visit, because not only was this one completely forgettable, it was worse than the previous two. The burger was extremely bland like it was made from a frozen patty, and the bun was hard/stale. I honestly don't know what this place is doing wrong, but the franchise owner here needs to seriously take a second look at their burger practices, because the meat has been junk from this location on every visit. The first time I came, I got soggy fries so I stopped getting fries, but I held out hope for the burgers. One of the key things for Five Guys as a whole is the fresh burgers. Not just the toppings, but the meat most importantly. Every Five Guys I've been to has used fresh meat (to my knowledge). One of the most obvious signs is the uneven shape of a patty, and the taste and the way it cooks. This specific store's meat seems a little too even, almost like a pre-made frozen patty. Maybe this franchise owner is cutting corners, but that's not why Five Guys is successful, versus the assembly-line burgers from places like McDonalds. Anyways, burgers and food aside, the service has also been pretty bland as well, and as others have said, the music is always up way too loud. Most, if not all, Five Guys I've ever been to has a crew that is loud, proud, and friendly. They shout things between each other "one in the door!", "two patties!", etc. and they greet you and whatnot. This place's service is like McDonalds just accented with loud music. DO NOT EAT HERE!! Went here one night and order burger and fries to go. As I waited for my food I saw the line cook take out RAW hamburger patties with gloved hands, put it in the grill and turn around with the SAME gloved hand AND touch all the buns along with putting all the condiments and veggies on them. Then turn around with the same gloves and touched my cooked fries and put them in my to go bag. I was so disgusted I threw it all away and went to kid valley. The worst Five Guys branch I've ever been. First of all, the guy behind the cash register doesn't take the order correctly, and have a face of "Ughh..I don't want to work today". We all know that we have to order one smaller size of French fries at Five Guys because it's generously given, but not at this place. there is absolutely no fries dropped in the bag!!! not a single fries off from the cup!!!. My patty was bloody hell although I asked for no pink. restroom is kept dirty, and there are pieces of peanut shells everywhere on the table. The Bothell location of Five Guys puts the good Five Guys name to shame. I eat at Five Guys about once a week, usually at the Lynnwood location. This time, I decided to get an order at the Bothell location, and when I got my order, the fries were so short-changed, I could hardly believe my eyes. I know how much they serve, I eat at a 5 guys alot. What they gave me was barely half what they should, and when I asked about it, the server said "Well, that's all we serve". Bullspit. This place is way overpriced for the quality. The food is definitely good, but the price of the burgers doesn't match the quality. Not even close. There are no burgers for less than $5, not even for kids. That doesn't include the fries. I have no problem paying more than $5 for a burger that's worth it. These burgers are not worth it. The burgers are good, just not worth what they're charging. For my wife and I and our two small children, ordering 4 of the cheapest burgers on the menu, 2 small fries and 4 small drinks, our total came close to 40 bucks!! We could have gone to Red Robin and even gotten a couple beers with our dinner for that amount. The fries are fantastic, however. Really, the best part of this place is the self-service digital pop fountain. It's incredible! They have like 20 different types of Coke alone and even Strawberry Fanta!! I have been in here several times and the service has been fine. The fries and burgers are pretty good, too, in addition to the bottomless peanuts. The issue I have is an experience this past Friday night, 2/22/19. We order our food at 640 as did a few other people. 7 o'clock rolls around and...no food. Other people....no food. Some lady I talked to said she had been waiting an hour. Yeah, not happening. I watched one of people cooking food take ten or so patties that were cooking and throw them straight into the trash. I went to the register and waited for someone to help because at this point, it was 45 mins, we were all hungry, and things were going downhill fast. The girl took my receipt and gave me a refund out of the till. She only had 20 so she started taking money out of their tip jar. I stopped her and asked what was going on since approximately 20 people were now waiting for food and nothing was coming out. She said they have no one to cook the food and everyone quit a few days ago. From what I can surmise, the management at this location is terrible. I won't blame the kids. This is a staffing issue and the result of terrible management. We left and went to Totem Lake and got our food in no time. read more

The store is absolutely filthy. Arrived there at noon, store opens at 11, there was only one family inside and the store was a complete mess. They must of spilt a container of peanut oil on the ground because the floor was absolutely slippery. There was a good 10 minutes of no customers and no one even went into the lobby to clean up the mess. Tables and floors covered with empty peanut shells, only one of the two restrooms worked and the one that did was absolutely filthy with trash overflowing out of the trash can. I saw the kid at the register gazing at the mess with a blank stare, but of course, no effort on his part to clean anything up. Should of requested a refund, because a paying customer shouldn't have to eat in a disgusting lobby where the floors could of caused a terrible slip and fall. I love Five Guys burgers, however, this location is very slow. When you order in the restaurant expect to wait about a half hour if they are NOT busy and longer if they are. If you order online and show up at the time given, expect to wait another 20 minutes or so depending on how busy. The food is up to Five Guys standards, just very, very slow. read more
