    Bacon cheeseburger.
    Steven M.

Five Guys is not the best burger I've ever had, sorry banners hanging up in every Five Guys across the country, but it is a decent burger served in a short amount of time. I stopped at this location on Friday night and I honestly have no idea how I ended up here. The place was pretty dead and we were able to order right away. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, a vanilla milkshake, and I split a medium fry with my girlfriend. The food didn't take long to come out and we were in and out in maybe 15 minutes. The burger itself was typical Five Guys, the beef was good, the bacon was good, and the overall burger was good (not amazing, but good). The French fries are definitely not my favourite but they were alright. The milkshake was pretty much whip cream and that was a big letdown, but the milkshake that I did have was pretty good. Overall, you know exactly what you are going to get when you visit a Five Guys. There's nothing better or worse about this location then the others so if you are looking for a decent burger, it won't hurt to stop here.

    Welcome to Five Guys

Haven't eaten at Five Guys in forever but I needed to make a trip here cuz my toddler was dying (in the form of excessive toddler whine-screaming) for their fries. I asked for my usual large fries in 50/50 (half regular/half Cajun). The girl said they can't do that and offered me two regular sizes - fine, no biggie even though all the other locations does it. I was also intrigued with the veggie sandwich so got that as well (after mis-speaking and asking for a veggie burger I was corrected it's a "sandwich", there is NO veggie burger here peeps!). Verdict? + The fries were good - I would expect no less since it's their thing. +/- I've mixed feelings about the sandwich. It's really just the bun with filling (mushroom, peppers, lettuce, tomato). I can't say it's the most filling meal if you order this alone but with some fries you should be fine. I shared with one of my kids (the one not dying for fries) and she thoroughly enjoyed it as well as stated she would like to come back again to have it with pickled and bbq sauce. This location was the old Corner Bakery Café so the layout is the same if you've been to CBC before. They used some of CBC's furniture (large booths) along with their well known red&white decor scheme. I've love 5G and would really love it if they would add a veggie burger to their menu. That would be epic!

Five Guys is my go to fast food burger. They are a little more expensive but totally worth it because the burgers are made to order, and the bacon is super crispy like I like it. Their buns look like McDonald's commercials but in real life. This location is dangerously close to my house and had a hankering for a burger, so we ordered on DoorDash. I always get the little bacon cheeseburger and Cajun fries. "Little" just means one patty, and the "regular" fries are HUGE and can easily be split between 2-3 people. The order was fast and hot, which I was worried about for a burger. This time I also got a milkshake. They have a ton of "mix in" flavors and I got strawberry and whipped cream mixed in. The strawberry flavor wasn't overwhelming but it was good. Delicious as always!

Five guys in general is one of the best burger chains around. This location is cool. Always clean and pretty quick especially if you order online. I love the fries with Cajun seasoning but get cajun on the side and add yourself because a few times they've put way too much on. You can get all the toppings you want customized however.

Five Guys is a good place for a burger, expensive but still a good place. But honestly there are other places that are much better. For me the best thing about Five Guys is there fries.

Love coming here for a burger that I know will be quality ever time. I usually stick to the little cheeseburger because it's only one patty (note that the regular cheeseburger is two patties). The regular serving of fries is made for two people and is always overflowing on the bag that you're food is given to you in. The fountain soda machine that you can make your own concoction is the best. Haven't had a milkshake here yet though every time I debate. I just know that I'm in a food coma after my regular meal that there is just no room for it. Finally - the bonus points they get is the free peanuts that you can get if you're famished and can't wait until the burger gets in your belly. Or whatever you order. Go check 'em out!

The location on Niagara Falls Blvd is cleaner than the Delawear Ave location. If your looking for a greasy yet tasty burger this is your place. The paper bag you get your food in always has oil spots on it. I wouldn't suggest 5 Guys if your trying to eat healthy. I like orginal fries. I have tried the cajun fries but they weren't good enough for me to order again. Even if you order the small they give you a ton of fries. The coca cola machine offers you a wide beverage selection with syrups that you can add for a spin on any classic beverages.

So much going on here! The place is packed with people, pile of peanut oil jars near the entrance, so energetic employees, free peanuts etc etc. Now let's come to the food. We ordered junior cheeseburger, double patty cheeseburger and regular fries (Cajun style). The burgers were perfectly juicy and well seasoned, also fries were perfectly crunchy and freshly made. Can't expect more. I just loved this place.

The people who work here are so friendly and helpful. It's quite different from the nearby Chipotle. I've ordered a veggie sandwich for me and I'll report back on it (grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, green peppers, lettuce, tomato and cheese @$4.79) and a cheeseburger "all the way."

Advertising works, I never knew this opened up in this spot but driving down the boulevard, the lighted signage caught my eye. So much so that during my pedicure I was thinking burgers and decide I must try it out afterwards. All I can say is I'm glad I did! The restaurant was empty at about 8:30, no matter more time for me to chat up the employees who were very friendly and accommodating. When I told them this was my first time at Five Guys they seemed eager to win me over. I placed my order for a bacon cheeseburger in a bowl, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, pickle, may and A-1 on the side., I swear the cook nodded with approval lol! My friends who had been before ordered fries with their burgers for us to share so I was warned not to get my own. I was impressed that I was asked if my bunless order was for dietary or personal reasons. Very pleasant first impression, the cashier was so nice! It didn't take to long to get our orders. My friends milkshake was last, she's a milkshake conniesuer and she said it was just ok. But the food...wow! I was amazed at what a great burger it was. The presentation was great, totally spaced on the photo op but, I'll be back for another! The flavor was perfect too and it was cooked to perfection. Even the bacon was crisp and flavorful. I had just a few of the fries that were not only abundant but, crisp, hot and tender if that makes sense. I love this place, yup I said love. I can't wait to go back for another, next time I'll know to load up on my extras. I definitely needed more pickles!

Husband decided quickly, ordering the footlong with fries and drink special. I had the quarter pound hamburger with just lettuce and mayo. Our meals came out soon - but not too soon! Both meals were delicious. They also included samples of mac'n'cheese that the owner is trying out. We both love mac'n'cheese, and told him that his recipe was spot on! He shared with us that he'll be offering it when it's just right, and that customers will be able to customize each order with add-ons that they like. The place has framed photos of happy patrons in the store - with a note on a wall asking each patron to get photographed so they can be up on that wall. The bathroom was clean, stocked, and included a photo of the Blues Brothers - liked that! If you are in the mood for burgers, hot dogs and other comfort foods, this is a good place to go!!

The second you walk in, you immediately smell the real hardwood lump charcoal they've been grilling over since they first started in the late 1920s, and you can actually watch them cook your food to order (which I love). The place oozes a casual backyard BBQ energy, and it feels like an old school Buffalo institution that might no longer be in its heyday, but it clearly still has a hardcore group of local fans. It was confusing as first time diners to figure out how it all works. First, you go in and place your order with the person behind the grill. The nice lady immediately started grilling our meats. Next comes the toppings that can be customized, and then any additional side orders. You pay, get your food, and seat yourself. The dining room is clean but delightfully frozen in time, looking very late-'70s retro in a way that feels exactly right. The seating is old, dingy, and uncomfortable, so this isn't a restaurant where you'd want to sit and linger. Food-wise, this is definitely a spot for beef and sausage lovers. If you're not into that, fair warning: my grilled chicken was pretty mediocre and mostly just tasted like charcoal (which some people might love, but it wasn't doing much for me). The flavor was exactly like what I'd eat when my Uncle would break out the charcoal grill in the backyard during my childhood. The smell and taste brought back pleasant memories, but I guess I'm so used to gas grills or wood grills now that charcoal seems so dated. Meanwhile, my husband's sausage on a bun absolutely stole the show. His was loaded with grilled onions, juicy, smoky, and genuinely drool-worthy. I was a little jealous just looking at it. If you eat sausages, I would recommend ordering that here. There's not a lot for non-red meat eaters, and certainly this isn't the place for vegetarians! Despite my disappointing chicken breast, there were plenty of wins. The buns were especially soft and delicious, and I loved the fresh leaf lettuce and tomato on my sandwich. The produce tasted fresh and bright and wasn't wilted at all, which genuinely surprised me. We split the half-and-half side (which was half fries and half onion rings). The fries were nothing noteworthy, but the onion rings were the real star. Get those crispy, flavorful rings and thank me later! Also, shoutout to the two free pickles on the side, which is a small touch that equalled big happiness. There's also a self-serve soda fountain with free refills of Pepsi products! I'm glad I spotted Ted's and decided to stop in. I couldn't resist the old school exterior, and I can see why this continues to stay in business (despite it not being crowded at all the night we dined there). It might not be the best pick if you're avoiding beef or sausage, but it's still a fun, very Buffalo place to try. Between the smoky grill, the retro atmosphere, and those killer onion rings, it feels like a local rite of passage. I'm glad we did it.

I arrived with my son for dinner on a Tuesday night and was able to use a kiosk right away. The system was user-friendly but there wasn't an option to add extra bacon (for the extra bacon orderers out there). We grabbed a number to dine in and found our table. The dining room was clean, and all but one table was bussed, which is not bad by any restaurant's standards. Our food was brought to our table in probably 7 minutes. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with crispy onions and my son got the chicken sandwich with the herb mayo. For sides, we got the spicy fries and onion rings. I grabbed some napkins from the plentiful (and full) dispensers located near the shelves by the front counter. Wow. These were the best meals we'd each had in some time. My son said it was literally the best chicken sandwich he's ever eaten, enough to want to be the one to write the review in the feedback survey sent to me via text. A teenage boy wanting to write a food review should tell you something. And just look at my burger. Looking like the star it was. Basking in the sunlight during golden hour. Made perfectly and was as good as it looked, if not, better. It was juicy, and cooked perfectly. The little sleeve that my burger came in was not my favorite. It served its purpose but I may have preferred it being lightly wrapped in one of those foil lined papers. The sides were perfect as well. Crispy, fresh onion rings, that were nice thick slices of onion. The spicy fries were nice and crispy too, and weren't your standard cajun. The shakes for dessert were delicious and tasted like real ice cream. I can't speak highly enough about the service on our visit. The young lady, unprompted, refilled our drinks at least 2 or 3 times during our meal and even offered to refill our drinks before we left. We ordered our shakes to go, after our meal and she continued being attentive! When she saw we had another table number, she checked in on us and asked what we ordered so we weren't waiting too long. My only contention is the price. It is more expensive than fast food by a bit. However, in my opinion, Shake Shack shouldn't be judged alongside McDonald's but more Five Guys in the middle ground between fast food and casual sit-down. But that being said, based on this experience, Shake Shack beats any other burger chain, by a long shot.

The bun to burger ratio is off, the burgers are way bigger than the buns! I did get a bunless burger. The service was great the ladies behind the counter were working there butts off with a smile.
