There are racks and racks of clothes for women, men, and children. Almost all of the items at this store are from Target or Gap. The majority being from target. There are boxes and boxes of target furniture, tons of toys, rugs, decorative pillows, comforters, sheets and it goes on. You never know what you are going to find or what will be on sale. It is worth it to go and check it out at least once a week. The downside is that there is a lot of stuff that is broken or ripped so you have to make sure what your buying is in good condition. Give it a chance you will probably spend less here than at a goodwill!

I immediately spotted the large Valentine's Day arts and crafts and giveaway selections. Most of the items are from the target $1-$5 section so at dirt cheap that makes them $.50-$2.50... works for me! I also found two awesome Mossimo brand purses and a non brand pink clutch. In the food aisle I scored with a few cases of Ozarka sparkling water. Tip: always check the expiration date on the food and to be sure it isn't open! These packages get handled a lot and often bust. I found a Barbie brand doll and accessory for 1/2 off retail too. I also got two packs of BabyGanics swim diapers for $3.50 each! As with any discount store you have to to due diligence to be sure you're actually getting a good deal. But most of the time it's at least 30% less than in the store , if not more. The aisles are crowded and messy so be prepared to dig and sift - but if you have the patience and time you'll be rewarded with saving a pretty penny!

They have a little of everything, from cute gift and coffee table books to stationary to candles and jewelry to all sorts of home accessories. I am always greeted with a smile and given my space to explore. Staff offers assistance with gift ideas, gives the history behind the products they carry, and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. About a year ago, they moved around the corner (same building) to a bigger space, and now you can see the treasures a little better. While some items are pricey, The Queen Bee isn't charging more than you would pay to purchase them elsewhere, and items go on sale now and then, so you can find even more to take home with you. The Queen Bee supports other local businesses in the area, and now and then you will find they have items like a local baker's cookies (don't pass them up). I will continue coming back time and time again.

Well, Christmas morning when my wife opened up her gifts, she found her cloths I had bought her still in the plastic bags, plus the prices showing. I was so pissed and embarrassed at the same time, but what could I do. I went back on 12/27 and told them of my displeasement and they appoligized, but didn't offer anything to offsett their mistake. I spent over $65.00 to have 6 gifts wrapped (Too High), even though the wrapping was beautiful, they could have at least offered me a FREE wrap on my next visit, but nothing. Plus they make no refunds or exchanges either, what a place! I gave them a chance to make it right, but....

The other B&N in Baton Rouge moved and doesn't have a cafe at all. All in all, things seem to be sliding into bad quality and with teenagers and 20 year-olds eye-rolling me (and a college professor who works with people these same ages for the last 20 years), someone a lot less patient than I may be more assertive in how atrocious my drink was. Plus, you do want college professor to have a decent relationship with the bookstore that's on campus? Right?
