I have never been to a shop like this. I drove by and with a name like Dirt Cheap I had to stop and check it out! Who doesn't love a bargain? There are racks and racks of clothes for women, men, and children. Almost all of the items at this store are from Target or Gap. The majority being from target. There are boxes and boxes of target furniture, tons of toys, rugs, decorative pillows, comforters, sheets and it goes on. You never know what you are going to find or what will be on sale. It is worth it to go and check it out at least once a week. The downside is that there is a lot of stuff that is broken or ripped so you have to make sure what your buying is in good condition. This is one of my favorite places wander through when I have a little bit of downtime. I happen to work about 10 minutes from the Zachary location so it is very convenient for me to pop in every couple of weeks and see with the selection is. I am not sure I would make the trip out to their Florida Blvd location though. Today was a time killing trip. Waiting on a car repair so I walked over. I immediately spotted the large Valentine's Day arts and crafts and giveaway selections. Most of the items are from the target $1-$5 section so at dirt cheap that makes them $.50-$2.50... works for me! I also found two awesome Mossimo brand purses and a non brand pink clutch. In the food aisle I scored with a few cases of Ozarka sparkling water. Tip: always check the expiration date on the food and to be sure it isn't open! These packages get handled a lot and often bust. I found a Barbie brand doll and accessory for 1/2 off retail too. I also got two packs of BabyGanics swim diapers for $3.50 each! As with any discount store you have to to due diligence to be sure you're actually getting a good deal. But most of the time it's at least 30% less than in the store , if not more. You can find some great deals but I found a lot of stuff to be very overpriced for a discount store, like a big pack of baby wipes for $13 that were beat the heck up and dirty when you can buy them new for $16 in target. On the other hand they have little bins that have 4/$1 or 2 for $1 in the front of the store but it was alot of junk, nothing special. Also all the prices are in a binder and And have to be searched for and scanned, I was in like for like 20 min with only two people ahead of me. Love this place. I must admit the first time I went in here I did a once around and then ran for my life straight outside. It was not the most visually appealing place I have ever been to. Then a few months later I went in looking for something and to my surprise I found much more than I was looking for for amazing prices. It took a little time and some digging but it is definitely worth your time to save some serious money. I call this place DIRTY CHEAP.. the focus is on major discounts... the merchandise isn't sitting on lovely clean, organized displays shelves... it's chaos... but don't be fooled... the treasure hunting is extremely addicting and the deals are unquestionable read more

Yes - 4 stars and here's why: Bargains! I can't list the bargains I've found at just this store alone. I saw a Southwestern Dakota coat with leather-like frog buttons in sedona , Arizona for about $300. I loved it but didnt buy it. When we returned to Zachary off our trip out Wset, I visited Dirt Cheap and found the very same coat, missing one button, for $30! You bet i bought it! It's too warm for this climate, I admit, but when we travel out to the four corners, I wear this coat and it is a hit. DC is sometimes chaos but if you look you will find a great buy!
