I ate there twice in one week, and not just because dining options are limited in Woodville. Cafe hours are also a plus; you can show up at 2pm and still get lunch. The lady who runs the place is cheerful and friendly, and puts a personal touch into the menu. The chef salad includes real diced ham, not just deli meat, and comes with a croissant on the side. The pork chop special had generous portions - two grilled chops plus lots of jambalaya for less than $10. Baked goods are also ample. A slice of rich chocolate lemon cheesecake was more than enough to share.

We'd driven through Jackson a few times, but never stopped at this antique store before. We felt…read morelike doing a little antiquing, so decided to take the drive there. It didn't look like it was very big from the outside, but it is HUGE on the inside with an absolutely stunning selection of antiques. The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful, and made himself available to answer any questions we may have. I saw some things there that I have never seen before, the prices were really very good for what they offer as well. We came home with a couple of items. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend stopping there if you are in the area, and make the drive even if not if you are looking for some very high quality antiques at very reasonable prices!

From grow your own flower kit to an eye glass repair kit! (I wanted to buy all the kits) To top it off this store carrys this warmth that I didn't know could be portrayed in a store. It gives you the feeling of walking into grandma's house as she's sitting in her rocking chair sewing you an outfit using the buttons and threads out of an old cookie tin. Now to the architectural aspect of the store. The store is located where there was once a bank, so the doors are roundes as if there was once a revolving door there. I absolutely love it! The store is HUGE with little treasures sprinkled everywhere , and a miniature history lesson tucked away in the walk in vault! The bright red building is hard to miss! But to be honest who would want to miss this place.

We stumbled upon this shop and spent a good amount of time exploring inside. This building was an old bank and has been since transformed into a Knick knack shop selling miscellaneous items--bath products, clothing, BUTTONS!, etc. This place sure gives you the feel of St. Francisville and small town Louisiana as well! 10/10 recommend popping in here to see what it's all about!

The shop is still full and has loads of merchandise but it's just not as unique as it once was. Once in a blue moon we find a present for someone here. That being said if you have not been in you should check them out. Just because I did not find something does not mean you won't. Just be prepared they can be pricey. I get the feeling a lot of these shops in St. Francisville now are cashing in on the tourists who come into the town and there for may not always offer the best deals. Some of my favorite things in this shop include the selection of Snaps for my snap jewelry, The childrens clothing area is great but very pricey - so watch for their sales. They also have a large selection of candles and candle holders. I usually go each trip home so I'll update if I have any changes.

I asked if they could work with me on the price, and they said they would test it again using their machine. After waiting around 10 minutes for the machine to warm up, they came back and told me all the stones were actually lab-grown. I don't have an issue with lab-grown diamonds at all, but it was disappointing that the testing wasn't consistent from the start and that the information about the stones wasn't clear. I know pawn shops can sometimes have great deals, which is why I wanted to check them out, but this experience just made the process more confusing than it needed to be. Staff was polite, but more transparency on the jewelry and testing would have made this a lot smoother.
