The staff has always been nice to me, but I did hear one of them snap at a customer yesterday who was just asking a simple question. A lot of employees I've seen here always seem a bit stressed out. I think that most of the times that I've been here it appears as though they are shortstaffed, so maybe that has something to do with it. For some reason, this store seems more disheveled than any of the other dollar stores that I've been to. A lot of times things just seem to be thrown on the shelves and not organized. They also always seem to be out of the regular colorful birthday gift bag tissue paper and only have gift bag tissue paper that is for a baby shower. I do like how they have a lot of kitchen supplies and a lot of food items. Their holiday section is always plentiful as well. I also like coming here for thank you cards or birthday cards as they have a large selection of them.

Every business has rules and policies to adhere to, but the way employees interact with customers to make sure they return is critical. After forgetting the receipt to make an exchange we were told the policy which we understand. We asked if we 'just made the 25 min drive for nothing' the employee bluntly just said 'yes'. I can think of dozens of work arounds and additionally 100s of things to say to a customer to ensure they make the effort to return. Rudeness is not something that you can train out of some employees- nor a habit of not smiling or trying at all to be friendly. If I were managing this store I would see quickly that there is a negative culture and the employees see the customers as a nuisance they have to deal with. They also told us we couldn't have our 2 yr old daughter go thru the little pink door as it was hot and was sticking. No 'sorry' or anything that showed they cared whatsoever- we were just in the way of them ending their shift (hardly anyone in the store at the time). There are lots of these children's stores in Denver and we will in future drive much farther if needed to avoid this location. 3 strikes and you're out as the negative attitude and culture have proven to be the norm.

Ordered an item that I needed within five days, paid an extra $25 for 2-day shipping fee, only to be updated by UPS that the item wouldn't arrive for nine days. Three calls to Athleta customer service where they totally blamed it on UPS. Called UPS who confirmed that Athleta never assigned the item as expedited shipping. UPS is not paid by Athleta until the product arrives, so they could not change the order status. Call back to Athleta who responded with nothing more than "so sorry." Off to Nordstrom's, or perhaps even Lululemon. Never again Athleta!!!

And you can return whatever you don't want to keep at the store in Boulder. The clothes are a little pricey (especially if it's just for exercising),but beautiful and very comfortable. Although Athleta carries mostly athletic apparel, a lot of it is so pretty that I also use it to work. And this morning, they opened the store early and offered breakfast to celebrate back to school day,how great is that?

Lots of different kinds of ornaments with a wide range for cost. They had a lot of decorations for the holidays available, too. The rest of the store boasts cute and neat gift ideas, home decor, jewelry, stationery, cards (of course!), and other finds. I LOVE looking around a Hallmark store, and I'm happy we were able to find a great ornament here to fit "us" for 2020, as well as a couple fun ones for Husband. The downfall for this store was noise. Some of the ornaments were in sync to communicate with one another, and if they had a volume adjustment they had to have been at max volume. Other decorations were turned on and sounding off as well. When we went to check out, the phone rang and a staff member answered it right next to the lady helping us. The one on the phone was so incredibly loud that the lady helping me had to ask me to repeat myself when updating my information into their system. Other than the overwhelmingly loud noise, it's a great store to visit!
