Went with our friends after a nice Sunday brunch. It was sort of organized, in sections, but not exactly. Socks were in multiple places and the shoe section had shoes in the wrong box or just one shoe not a pair. I wanted to find a pair of HOKAs, which I did. I also got a cute pair of flamingo socks for my dad and another pair of SmartWool hiking socks that were marked $22 but rang up at $6. Nice! Definitely ask for the prices at check out. They had discounts on top of discounts, so a few of the SPF shirts that we bought were heavily discounted and a few we left at the store. Still, Going, Going, Gone is a nice place to hunt for a bargain in South Florida.

Read on and I will explain. The flea market looks like an old mega-department store that went out of business and was then bought and maintained by the people. This is exactly what I found inside: nail boutiques, salons, cell phone providers, bubble tea shops, korean cafes, etc. Each independently-owned and maintained. Essentially, this is a free-for-all! I came in with a limited budget in terms of time and money, but ended up with a full belly and a worthwhile purchase: a $6 dollar hot wing tray from a korean family-owned cafe and a $5 pair of sunglasses. $11 dollars total = VICTORY! I do think one can still score some great deals here but the layout has changed and not for the better. It doesn't have the same vibe it once did. Obviously, it's a step down from Nordstrom but the same level of charm and customer service was offered long ago and I don't see this nowadays. Granted, the majority of cashiers who've assisted me are lovely but it's simply not the same level of customer service as in the past. I'm also not a fan of the hoardersville impulse items near the registers - giving off the Marshalls & TJ Maxx vibes but not the same prices. Love those stores, not hating but it isn't what old school Nordstrom Rack aesthetic offered. If we are junking it down, go ahead and decrease the prices too. On brighter notes, one will save 5% off their purchase if they're a Nordstrom cardholder and online purchases can easily be returned both at the Rack and Nordstrom at the mall.
