Well over that 20-year time period I can probably count on one hand how many times I walked out of there with something worthwhile. For one thing the store is always in a fair amount of disarray. The racks are overcrowded. Too many items where they just have one or two things and it's really hard to find what you want in your size. A lot of stuff on the floor and if you do find something you love you have to wonder if it was stepped on or rolled over by a cart at some point. The prices probably are more reasonable if you do find something but you really got to dig. The thing that really burns my hide is the line. It's been long often in the past but it could be worthwhile if you found something. This most recent time I went the line was ridiculous. I would guess there was 35 or 40 people in line and three cashiers. The people were lined up all the way to the dressing room. I expect this if I go in Ross or the Goodwill. Not Nordstrom rack. Never again. But I want to give credit where credit is due, the cashiers despite the crushing workload where personable and did not display any stress despite the obvious frustration of everyone staring at them doing their job. One of the first problems with this location is that they are overrun with inventory. This isn't a large store, so I don't know why they have so much stuff. There isn't enough space in the store to display it all in a safe and neat manner. I used to work retail many moons ago, so seeing unpacked boxes hanging out on the floor, as well as a wall of unpacked cardboard boxes in the lighting section, tells me that their back storage area must also be full. There were also about 5-6 tables outside of the store with tons of stuff on them, all clearance that they were trying to get rid of. The store looks sloppy and unprofessional. It's like the manager and the staff just to give a damn. The shelves are also a mess and the merchandise was sloppily hanging on the shelves. There was one aisle that had pillows on the floor. There were so many that they were blocking the way. You couldn't get through without stepping on them or tripping. Are they trying to get sued??? Honestly, there was just shit everywhere in and out of boxes. Even if this was just a bad and busy day, I will never come back. The location in Queen Anne on Armory is much nicer and better run. If you want a nice shopping experience where you aren't at risk of injury due to store items on the floor, don't shop here.

I find that the quality of bedsheets here are a better deal when compared to Costco. Storage boxes, garbage bins, high thread count bedsheets, and party supplies are all great deals and have a lot of personality. If you're looking for actual furniture or cooking pans, look to purchase somewhere else with a good return policy (like Costco or Amazon). I generally only buy home accents from HomeGoods. The checkout staff are generally pretty friendly, which adds to the positive shopping experience. If you're looking for unique, quality items at great prices, check out the Lynnwood HomeGoods over Woodinville or Bellevue.

She didn't say a single word, didn't make eye contact, and immediately waved the next customer forward--completely ignoring me. Her behavior was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. The tags were mismarked by the store, not altered by her. Despite calmly explaining the situation, she was dismissed condescendingly in front of other customers. The manager, who identified himself as "Phillip," refused to review video footage or acknowledge the error. After careful reflection, we believe this was a case of racial profiling. The accusation was made quickly, without evidence, and with a tone that suggested guilt before facts. Instead of taking accountability for their own mislabeling, they projected blame onto the customer--possibly to deflect or escalate. This is especially disappointing given our long history shopping at Marshalls and its sister company HomeGoods in Lynnwood. We've filed formal complaints with Marshalls corporate, the BBB, and the FTC. I've personally written to the Chief Compliance Officer. Since my wife was accused of a crime, we are drafting legal framework against TJX Companies, Inc., the manager, and the employee who made the accusation without evidence. We're not seeking money or punishment. We're asking for a formal apology, staff retraining, and a commitment to treating every customer with dignity. No one should be publicly accused of a crime they didn't commit. No one should be humiliated for simply trying to shop. We hope Marshalls takes this seriously and chooses accountability over apathy.

I commented that these were the conditions that I got the shoes in and to check the receipt cause the time stated my evidence of when I got them. These people literally didn't care what the receipt said and stated that the shoes were used. What's frustrating for me is that I literally got these shoes, bought them, and wanted to return them in a span of 8 minutes and 5 of those minutes were spent being back in line. I guess it's possible for me to freaking waddle like a penguin and slide the shoes, but enough so my right heel isn't messing up the size 9 tag ink and enough where I miraculously don't crinkle the shoes and dong break the lock keeping the shoes together. What's ridiculous is that I kept trying to repeat myself that I just got these and they suggested to me to wash them and return them later or go to another store. That just told me there's extremely something wrong with this location if I can possibly return these at another location apparently.
