There are also many stores on a strip mall around the building including AMC, Burlington, and Marshall's. Thankfully this mall got Starbucks because I was very hooked on their coffee. It is a big mall with 3 levels and since I was not a regular I was lost a few times and getting to one destination from another took forever. Also finding the nearest bathroom was tough. Had to resort to the directory. Thankfully there were escalators and elevators all around.

Review: 09/13/25…read more Parked in JC Penny's parking lot at Baychester Mall, thought it was the polite thing to do was to make a purchase being that parking was free. A great sale was going on, and I needed to get new bed pillows. The sale was too good of a deal to pass up. Just as i thought i had made the ultimate score. Realized the check out lines were a mile long. The houseware section is on the third floor. The extra, mile long check out line, turned out to be returns. No check outs on the entire third floor. Took the escalator done to the second floor, walked around, no check out lines on the second floor. Getting a bit frustrated, I just want to pay and leave. First floor has to be a charm. As we got off the escalator, there is one check out line, which was long. However they had three cashiers. Met a nice lady, had a cool chat about why we no longer like shopping in stores, and prefer online. This ordeal of having to hunt for a cashier was enough JC Penny to last me a lifetime. The store is very busy on the weekends. Checking out is difficult, lots of great deals. Good luck!

The only store that had it for pickup near me was the Target located in Mount Vernon, NY. After I submitted my order, I received an e-mail confirming that my order was processing. An hour later, I received an e-mail that my order is ready for in-store pickup at Mt Vernon and I had 3 days to go to the store to pick it up. It was a bit of a trek to get there from Queens, but not too bad since I left earlier in the day. Target is located on East Sandford Blvd and there is no problem finding parking as there are plenty of spots. Usually all Target locations have a very similar setup so it's not too unfamiliar. I went to Guest Services and showed the staff member my pickup barcode in order details and they brought my item to me. Since I was there, I of course had to look around. The aisles were very organized and stocked. The Target App is an easy way to shop and save. If there is a specific item you are looking for, the app will tell you the exact aisle and how many are in stock. It is also very helpful to let you know which items are available and the quantity at each store.

I paid for the two pants. little did I know that a the system picked up two shirts instead of the pants. As my friends and I walked out of the store we were approached by a security guard who demanded that we showed him our receipts because it showed that we had walked out of the store with stolen items. A security guard (who said he was the supervisor) told us we couldn't be in the store because we were "too young." For context, we are young adults, and we've shopped here many times before without any issues. We've never caused trouble, so this was confusing and unfair. He also claimed we couldn't stay because we might get kidnapped outside by a van, and told us we were only aloud in the store because "these nut jobs didn't do their job correctly" , which made no sense and felt like an excuse rather than a real concern. We decided to come back today, and at first, we were allowed in. But later, the same guard recognized us and started aggressively following us around the store. We were calmly shopping, not running or causing any problems, but he aggressively told us to "drop the basket" in a rude tone and forced us to leave. Even as we were putting our items back, he continued to criticize us and followed us out of the store. This treatment was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We were simply trying to shop for summer clothes and did nothing wrong. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

The owner, Justin, always greets me upon entering and is such a delight to interact with.
