My only complaint is that I had a couple of questions about some items and the only person working was on the phone the entire time I was in the store (it was a personal call which is the only reason it kind of annoyed me) I could barely get her attention to check out and she seem a little annoyed at the interruption so I put the additional items back since I couldn't ask, I really just wanted to check prices since some things weren't labeled but I felt weird interrupting already. I've worked in a lot of retail jobs and everywhere I've worked that would have been a major issue so I think it just caught me off guard. I'm please with the items I got though.

This Dollar General location is hit or miss with customer service, sometimes they have staff on…read moreduty that are friendly and helpful, and other times there is no one to be found, or the person they have on the register is rude as hell and seems more interested in their phones then the customers in front of them! My most recent visit was pretty good, the employee at the register helped me find what i was looking for and was very helpful and friendly. I came in to pick up laundry detergent and dog bones for my 9 month old golden retriever. This store is like my Target, whenever I say I'm going in for only 2 things...... I walk out with 2-3 bags of things I probably didn't know I needed. When I was browsing down the isles, I stopped at the clearance isle and found Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner on clearance which was a pretty good price, so I grabbed that with the dog bones, then I saw magnets for the fridge I needed and grabbed them as well. So my shopping trip of 2 things turned out to be a little more, but that seems to always happen when I shop. My experience today was a good one, and i am surprised that this store doesn't draw in more customers because they always have sales and deals that are too hard to pass up on.

While deliberating over the purchase of a sweater as a gift for someone else, they casually discussed another similar-colored one they'd seen elsewhere. But instead of helping them decide between the two or just saying nothing (because that's what sales people are supposed to do), the employee said, "Then you should just go there." The couple left. So did I. But not before listening to the employee disparage the elderly couple, make fun of some woman's choice of holiday movies, and complain about the challenges of being 30. So if you're keen on a shopping experience with a bunch of hyper privileged white women judging you and being privy to possibly the most annoying conversation ever, come here! But if you're anything like me, don't. Too bad too, cause I probably would've bought something.
