I realize when I park that it was after 9 p.m. but I think this one must be open till 10. That seems to be the trend these days. I picked up eight or 10 items I needed. I had no trouble finding all but one item that I was after and when I asked the cashier about it she checked with another employee, possibly a manager, who went back and looked and darned if she didn't find the item that I was after even though I hadn't found it when I looked. I was greatly appreciative and appreciated the customer service as well as the item itself. Everyone was friendly and helpful and I left happy.

There are always a few customers browsing in the store & they always seemed to be content with what they were looking for. Like any other Hallmark they have great signage displayed so you are able to find the correct cards. The employees are helpful & nice. This Hallmark belongs to the Hallmark Rewards program, which I love their rewards program, it allows you to get points to earn towards $$ off. On the downside there could be difficulties when finding as it shares a lot with other businesses in the area but it doesn't bother me, just walk a little further. Everyone could use a little more exercise in their day.

Speaking of Michael's, that's where I was when I heard of this place. I was looking for a purple fine Sharpie marker which Michael's used to carry, as did Walmart and some of the office supply stores. I had already checked at Walmart with no luck and they no longer sold the separate markers at Michaels either. Fortunately I asked the young man at the cashier counter about it and he suggested I try Mardels next door. I walked in and looked around for a little bit, then asked the clerk if they had a pens and pencils or stationery supplies section. She pointed me to the section with the pens and pencils and lo and behold there were the separate markers on the bottom shelf. I not only found the purple Sharpie I was wanting for $1.69 but also a lavender highlighter which for some reason are getting harder to find, and another purple pen that I really liked, plus a fine black permanent marker by Le Pen that I have bought before, usually at Hobby Lobby, but didn't have with me on my trip. I I spent about $8 and left happy that I had found what I was looking for. Aside from the pens they have tons of books and movies and all kinds of Christian oriented merchandise. The clerk's were very helpful and cheerful. It was a great find.

I'm upgrading my review to five stars based on my most recent visit. I came in looking for a…read morespecific item, something I had found at the Dollar Tree on Georgia Street but when I wanted more they didn't have them on Soncy. I happened to be driving past this location so I pulled in and sure enough they had the item. I bought three of them so I wouldn't run out again soon. I was super impressed by how huge this particular Dollar Tree is. I have been in here before but I didn't remember it being so big and having possibly the widest selection of merchandise of any of them. I'll have to remember that when I need something in the future because it's not that far away for me. I wandered around and found most of what I was after and a few other items I can use as well. I again needed a box, like on a previous visit a year-and-a-half ago. This time I encountered two employees that were so super nice that one of them emptied a box for me of stuff that was ready to be put away anyway because it was just the right size. I had my tape measure with me to measure it. While he was getting the box ready I was talking with the other one and he was super nice and gave me some information about a couple products I was interested in and I ended up buying them thanks to his recommendation. Kudos to Pete and Godfrey for being so helpful to this customer!

Unacceptable and hostile behavior toward children at the 45th & Bell location…read more My children and husband and I went into the store and wanted to purchase stickers from the vending machine. After running out to our vehicle to get quarters, they walked back inside, and the checker immediately began screaming at my 10-year-old son, pointing at him, and falsely shouting, "Don't be stealing!" Even more disturbing, this same worker openly told another customer right in front of us that "sometimes he wants to punch kids in the face but he doesn't want to lose his job." We immediately dropped our basket and walked out. Falsely accusing young children and making verbal threats of physical aggression toward kids is completely unhinged. This has been reported to Dollar Tree Corporate. Families with children should avoid this location until proper safety and staffing adjustments are made.

I don't feel that they have quite the volume of merchandise that the store on Bell has but this place is starting to grow on me. I always find a few things. It's probably just as well I don't find a lot because it saves me money, lol. The clothing seems pretty nice and clean. The store smells fairly good. They have four nice fitting rooms to try on clothes. Everything is spread out pretty well and nicely visible. The employees have been very nice so far. The prices are the same as the other location, pretty decent. Senior day is Monday but it's only 10% off compared to the stores in Arizona that are 50% off of everything every other Saturday. I think Tuesday is military day but if there are other sale days I'm not familiar with them because I don't fall into those categories. There might be a teacher's day, I'm not sure. I haven't bought a lot here, maybe 15 to $25 per visit. But what I've gotten has been pretty nice. They are fair about their returns. You get a store credit only as long as the original tag / Barb is on it and you bring it in within a certain time, I think it's 7 days maybe. I've only returned something once or twice and I've had no problem. Baby clothes are about $1.25. children's sizes are $2.25 even if they have brand new tags on them. Ladies skirts are $3. Blouses and sweaters are $3 25 cents. Blue jeans are $4.50. they have a lot of shoes but I haven't really priced them. They have a few brand new items along with all the resale items. There are lots of shopping carts to use. I plan to stop in every so often to see what's new and recommend it to others.
