The store had nice enough shoes, arranged warehouse-style. No one particularly asked me if they could help me when I walked in but there was a clerk near the door that I was able to ask if they sold clogs. He waved his hand off in a direction and said A-2 or whatever the exact aisle was. I walked along and looked at their selection. They mostly had Crocs and they were more than I'm used to paying but probably a normal price for that brand. They didn't have any in the color I was looking for so I went wandering around the store to see if I could find a clearance area. I eventually found it in the far back corner as expected. I looked for quite awhile and did find one pair that would have been perfect if they hadn't been hot pink. They fit me well but I was confused about the price. If they've been inexpensive because of being on clearance I might have bought them anyway. I've done that in the past. But they were marked $29.99 and the regular price was $34.99 and that just didn't sound like a clearance price. I had to walk all over to find a clerk to ask about it. He came over to where the shoes were and said yes that was the correct price. Most of the boxes had a hot pink sticker on them with lower prices. This one had a white sticker it was only $5 off the regular price. He said that was considered a short-term sale where all they do is move the shoes from up there to back here. Bottom line, they weren't really clearance shoes even though they were in the clearance section. I decided they weren't worth $30 to me if they weren't even the right color I wanted so I thanked him and left. They seem to have a shortage of Clerks. Either that, or a shortage of service. I never did have anyone ask if they could help me the whole time I was in there. When that happens I just tell myself I'm getting exercise. read more
