We came here looking to walk around and enjoy ourselves. I took some pictures and got a verbal warning from security stating that there is no picture taking in the Mall common area. He told us that we needed to stop. He said that there were signs stating that there are no picture taking with in the mall. We came through a store front and seen no Mall rules posted. Very sad because this mall is very empty and nobody is here on a very nice day Maybe security guard could have talk to us in a better way instead of raising his voice and saying there's no picture taking and making us feel stupid It's sad marketing because it is a very nice mall and how could people know about the mall if there's no picture taking allowed. I have come to this mall my entire life. This mall has always sucked but yesterday they reached a whole new level. This COVID crap is literally causing depression and suicide. Sadness and worry isn't just for adults these days it is now effecting our children. I took my kids to the mall and they BEGGED me to play at the mall playground. Kids these days don't get to have a lot of fun so I gave in. We were there for 10 min before mall security told us not just to get out of the playground but that we "have to go home". He walked with us across the mall as we were being watched through security cameras. He escorted us OUT THE DOOR. Then a security truck watched us as we got in our car and then FOLLOWED US out of the mall vicinity. All because my kids wanted to play. Are we sick? No. We're they being dangerous or causing others harm? No. All these idiots who run the mall are doing is controlling other people and LOSING MONEY. I'm not blaming the mall security , I'm blaming mall "management". Get a life and let other people get on with theirs. There's PLENTY of places to shop without having to go through you to spend my money. read more

Westgate Mall - Westgate Mall Playground - Shopping Centers Near Me - Amarillo, Texas

Sorriest mall ever, I do not recommend shopping there. We went in there with our service dog, and the whole time we were shopping none of the store managers or employees told us anything about our dog, then here comes security telling us we couldn't have our dog in the mall and got kicked out of there, I bet we would of got better treatment if we were criminals. Lesson learned, Amarillo mall sucks balls. read more

Located in Amarillo TX, this mall is surprisingly very modern with a lot of shops to go to -- forever 21, champs, hollister, Aeropostale, Dillard's, sears, Jc penny (Sephora inside), Charlotte Russe, chick fil a, sonic, subway, foot locker, Claire's, Victoria secret, etc... I was surprised they had so many stores, especially since their online website doesn't really display much of any information. This is a great mall to visit if you are visiting Amarillo Texas or traveling passed it. I love how they offer military discounts literally at every store! It's so different from bigger cities and everyone is so friendly. Parking is easy to find at this indoor mall. read more

This was ok. Super small but what did I expect in this city? Good variety in the food court and plenty of parking, but man the way items with a Texas label or in a Texas store are uppriced is crazy. Found some adorable clothing in here but no way was I paying those prices. And I'm from California,that's saying something. Overall though, good mall... So this is a popular spot for us to stop at when we are in town, great stores and some many cute things to do here. We are not familiar to having a sonic in a mall; so the last thing we do is get us an slushie and pour it in our to go stainless cups. Great spot to chit chat and catch up with friends and family. Ok I can't lie , overall the place isn't that bad. Sure, a few downsides like the lack of stores and my favorite places in the mall having a smaller selection but that's never bothered me enough to stop coming most weekends, my last visit however was unbearable. I was just looking around just seeing what would catch my eye and I walked past the shoe cleaning folks. They've always had Kiosk in the mall but the salespeople were never too pushy and always used to take no for an answer. First interaction was fine they asked me if I wanted a cleaning and I said no simple enough I assumed like every other time that my point had come across. As I keep walking around the mall I pass by a few more times and they repeatedly ask and push products on me , annoying but I just kept walking and ignored it. The last time one of the gentlemen stopped me from walking by stuck out his hand to shake mine and introduce himself. I didn't want to make too much conversation so I told him my name and that I simply wasn't interesting in anything he had to offer. He instantly got agitated and told me in a raised voice but not quite a yell " Everybody deserves a chance" and kept going on and on about how I should just try it. I eventually just tried walking away but he would block my path or put his hand on my chest every time I tried. I was hesitant to use force and just push him out of my way because you never know how that will end up. Anyway save your time, patience, and money. AVOID WESTGATE MALL!! read more

This was an average mall. It was fairly large and had some good stores. The mall acted as a babysitter for the town's delinquent children. For the most part, it was a nice experience. Not a must see, but definitely a decent place to shop. read more

I have shopped at Westgate for many years, and recommend it highly. I find it as being very clean and having a variety of shops to satisfy my needs. One thing, however, that troubles me is the convenience of the wifi. I find it inconvenient to log on to, and many places in the mall particularly in shops difficulties occur with reception. This mall could become a five star if they would just fix this one aspect of their shopping experience. read more
