My fiancé and I went to Fitzgerald Jewelry because we wanted to find somewhere: 1) Local, taking in person consultations, 2) Make custom rings, and 3) Could source alternative/unusual stones or gems for the ring. We had looked online but my fiancé was nervous about shipping it so far away, so after reading reviews and scouring the internet, we were happily pleased to find Fitzgerald Jewelry met all the criteria! We set up a consultation through email and went in person to meet with a jeweller. The first consultation was fairly quick. I knew what I wanted already (a salt and pepper diamond engagement ring) but went in person with my fiancé to get a better understanding and gauge of what we wanted. He picked out a beautiful engagement band for himself that we later customised for him. For my ring, however: we had an idea and Olivia (who is no longer working at the store, but still creates jewellery that is AT the store) helped us and it took a week to source the stones. We found the perfect one within our budget, and gave them a deadline. I'm giving five stars because the service was impeccable. We did have a snag in that the setter placed the stone in wrong and we were disappointed and worried we would not have the ring in time for our trip. They even gave us options, both of which were disappointing but understood with the time crunch of the holidays. At the last minute, the setter changed their plans to accommodate their error in setting the stone. Got our ring in time. Turn around for customs is probably around ~2 months if you're fast. A little over three years ago, I needed to find a jewelry repair shop that could downsize a man's palladium wedding ring. Fitzgerald came up in an Internet search and, after calling to confirm that they could work with palladium, I went to their shop and left my ring. The image of the receipt, attached to my review, shows a $100 charge from Fitzgerald for a downsize by "Mario." I recently dropped the ring in my bathtub while taking a shower. It split apart, no doubt where the two ends were fused. I left a message on Fitzgerald's website, explained the situation, and said I assumed the ring would be fixed at no charge. Fitzgerald's reply: "Once you leave the store, the ring is your responsibility." Some guarantee! And yes, I have since learned that a palladium ring is more brittle than gold. Would have been nice to know when I brought it in for repair -- but the complete lack of a guarantee on jewelry repairs at Fitzgerald isn't limited to palladium. Buyer beware. read more

I'll start out by saying, when it came to all the parts of planning a wedding --- the rings were the last thing on our mind ( major procrastinators! ) with 30 days until our big day, I went into Fitzgerald simply to have an older sentimental ring of mine (rough cut diamond) resized to use as my engagement ring (after being engaged for 1.5 years without one ). Michael was extremely helpful with not only a speedy turnaround but an in person second resizing because i was between sizes. The ring came back looking better than it ever did (after 5 years of constant wear). My husband came with me to pick up the resized ring and started browsing bands (with no pressure at all from the staff). I knew I wanted something with stacking ability but wasn't sure anyone would be able to customize something with such a short timeline. Fitzgeralds went above and beyond! Not only helping me pick custom sized stacking bands (one solid gold and the other with grey matching diamonds) that perfect fit my engagement ring, at an amazingly affordable price... they also promised to send the rings to us in Texas (where the wedding was, if they couldn't turn around before we left - 2 weeks before our wedding). They came through and we were able to pick up my two bands, in the type of gold I wanted as well as my husbands custom band (which he didn't even know he wanted until we saw the texture options available in shop for men's gold rings). I think he spent more time trying on options than I did! The point is--- these guys are the best! Fantastic staff, jewelers, and store in general. read more

This place is amazing! I felt really covid safe in there bc the store is pretty big, everyone is in a mask and they have everyone sanitize before trying anything on. I came in needing a last minute (temporary mini-mony) wedding band and they were ready to dig through everything they had. The man who helped me told me my rings had no street value and he could make them better. They are family heirlooms and have sentimental value to me, and, I never asked for his opinion.
