This gym was previously on Broad River rd., and has been open on Main st. a little over 2 months…read morenow. The staffed hours are M-F 8am-7pm (if you're wanting to join/inquire about memberships). It is one of the better 24hr gyms I've been to... it has free weights (including kettle bells), machines, multiple squat bars, TRX bands, and even a crossfit rack downstairs, and all of the standard cardio equipment (as well as punching bags and even the JACOB's LADDER) upstairs. It has a loft style feel to it. There is one shower in both the male and female bathrooms for those wanting to workout before work or during a lunch break. There are 4 TVs upstairs but cable has not been installed yet (they're working on that). The peak hours are usually M-F 4:30-8pm. I think it's a great little addition to the booming main st!

I am so amazed each time I come here with how tidy everything is. The price is great only $20 a month and you can come anytime, literally! The cardio is upstairs and offers treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowing machines, and even a mountain climbing machine! There are punching bags upstairs as well. TVs are upstairs and music plays throughout the gym. Downstairs there is a free weight area, TRX area, and machine area. Literally everything you could need! Weights belts, boxes, and all the attachments for the wire! Love this place and so happy we found it!

I've been coming to Pvolve in Columbia since September of this year. I first found out about them…read morethrough ClassPass and I really enjoyed that class so I signed up for their three intro classes for $36. After those three I was sold. The studio space is really nice and clean and they have a separate locker area and section to refresh after classes with mirrors, towels, hair ties, and mints. The owner, Ashley, is great and so are all of the instructors (Erin, Kelly, Sophie, and Gabbie) I've taken classes with and I think I've taken classes with all of them at this point. The workouts themselves are 50-minutes long and they pack a punch. A lot of resistance and balance challenges with some cardio bursts to keep things spicy. The classes go by quickly and it's great for those who want something lower impact but still very challenging. The instructors have all been good about giving modifications to either make the moves more or less challenging depending on where you are at on any given day. It's located in Bullstreet District. There's some construction currently going on near the studio but it doesn't disrupt the classes and I've never had an issue with finding parking. Overall, it's been money well spent. I love showing up, cranking it out, and leaving with a good burn. Would definitely recommend checking them out if you're in Cola.

Often Dr. Jim Floyd, the owner of the practice and the doctor I have worked with more than 10 years, will save me money for my treatment versus seeing an MD, who may prescribe unneeded prescriptions, X-rays, MRIs, CTs, etc. I also like that I can go see Dr. Floyd and his staff for a few visits to figure out what's going on and start treatment immediately without a MD referral. Thanks to Dr. Floyd, I was able to fully recover from a herniated disc in my neck with no surgery or injections, in spite of two neurologist recommendations for surgery. Later, when I did actually need surgery, Dr. Floyd helped me through the process to find a shoulder surgeon who was the best fit for me, Dr. Justin Knight, and then has guided me from a sling during recovery to lifting weights overhead, returning to an active lifestyle, and feeling and moving much better than I was prior to the surgery. I've ended up with more range of motion than I've had in many years through my course of treatment with Dr. Floyd. Ascent and Dr. Floyd are a key part of my health and wellness team. I was assigned to Dr Brandon Young. Dr Young took time to examine my knee and identify what was causing the pain. He did a fantastic job explaining the injury and also explaining what I needed to do to help in it's healing process. Dr Young was professional, knowledgeable, patient and explained things so they were easy to understand. The owner, Jim, has worked with a lot of my friends and I'm so glad I came here when I was injured. I highly recommend Him, Dr Young, Will and the rest of the staff at Ascent!

The cleaning of the facility needs some improvement. In the ladies locker room, the last shower on…read morethe right had a shower curtain with a white film all over it, and it is still there three days later. There is often empty bottles of product, a hair tie, or a wad of hair (gross!) left in the shower and I see that it is still there on my next visit.
