When I asked him about that he said it was functioning normally and did not require replacement. The PC was 8 years old and I had been looking at a replacement machine from another store. The repair was a little more costly than the replacement machine I was considering but the specs of the rebuilt machine were far superior. The power supply did eventually fail, some 6 years later. If I recall, the repair was completed the same day. His advise has been a great help to this somewhat challenged technology enthusiast. He seems to always get right to the point and doesn't mince words but I've never left his shop thinking there was anything that had not been addressed.

Maybe the quality of his work has always been bad, but he has enough customers who don't know any better. Maybe, he is incapable of recognizing how bad his work is. I recently took a pair of brand new leather boots and a pair of lightly used, clean and conditioned leather dress shoes that have satin laces to get a rubber half-sole applied. Not only was the work done extremely unprofessionally, but my boots and shoes were returned dirty and stained. The half soles on the boots are uneven. The bottom surface of the shoes was excessively and unnecessarily removed behind the half-soles on both pairs, but especially the boots. The brand new heel on one boot was even damaged on the corner! The cherry on top were the black stains left on the satin laces of the dress shoes. I can't buy replacement satin laces in the correct shade of green anywhere to match these shoes in case the stains do not come out. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a refund, I was met with denial, refusal, and responses of, "I don't give refunds, that's how I do everyone's shoes." He took no accountability. He charged me $130. I would not bring anything that you care about here, unless you want to pay to have your possessions mistreated. If he can't respect your shoes, he can't respect others or even himself. Sad.
