I highly recommend this gym if you are looking for an affordable work out option. I have joined fancier gyms in the past and have paid $39-$110 a month and not use them or all the extras. I pay $18.99 a month since I recommended my husband to join so I save a little. Well worth it, the day care is included, the staff is very friendly and never snotty or have attitude. In the morning, there are older folks like me and it is a very comfortable place to work out. Plus, with my arthritis in my knees, the hyrdo massage is used after every workout session and I've never had to wait and am not sore after workouts. It is a good idea to bring extra washcloth or towel to wipe down anything you use before and after. I would do that anyways. Two thumbs up! read more

I leave this location frustrated every single time I go!!! The location is always very clean and the employees and the manager are top notch BUT... the equipment is CRAP! Half of the treadmills have 'out of order' signs and the other half need to have the sign! The squeaking and clicking and popping and grinding and skipping is horrible! Not just the treads either! The bikes, the ellipticals, the stair climbers ~ even the rowing machines ~ make horrible horrible, I can't drowned out the sounds with music on 11, type sounds! The cable weight machines are no better and I find myself worrying that I'm gonna have to find a lawyer when that weight stack cable goes... I actually fear using the seated leg press so much I've had to quit using it; yes! the noise and the shimmy ARE that bad! I am so close to quitting this gym it's ridiculous! Fitness 19 is closer and their focus seems to be on keeping their machines in good repair ~ not painting the walls and putting up new signage! Also, where are the classes offered at all the other locations? For months we've heard "as soon as the studio is done we're bringing yoga back." Really? Yoga is all you're bringing back? FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!! So I went into this gym looking for an affordable option that is close to home. What led me in was a flyer I received in the mail. Looking at the flyer, I was really impressed with all of the amenities they were offering for such a low price. The flyer said $9.99 a month and just $1.00 initiation. It also had all of these pictures of beautiful equipment and a nice pool. So, I gave them a call to see if I needed to schedule an appointment to come take a tour. I called three times and no answer! Not a great first impression, but I thought "hey I'll give them another chance". Boy, do I regret that! So I drove down there one day after work and when I entered there were about three people waiting and only one person working behind the desk. I waited for about ten minutes without being acknowledged before I started to just tour the place BY MYSELF!!!! As I walked around, I noticed that absolutely NONE of the amenities they had listed on the flyer were in the actual facility. All of the equipment was old and outdated and there was barely any space for any of it. People were crowding each room and I even saw some people waiting in line to use equipment. Not to mention it was HOT AS HELL in the entire gym. Like their air conditioner was broken or something?!?! I mean, how can people workout like that?!?! I then found my way to the locker rooms and oh my god I have never been so disgusted!!! The smell was awful! Like the place had not been properly cleaned in weeks! The showers were FILLED WITH MOLD! So then I walk out to the pool area and I couldn't believe my eyes. IT WAS DISGUSTING. It looked like algae was starting to grow on the bottom! Nothing like the crystal clear pool in the picture. No wonder there was no one was swimming in it! So I finally make my way back to the lobby and I start talking to some young man working at the front desk. He explained to me that the pool was being worked on but it was still open for people to swim in (yuck). He also told me that they were going to be doing a lot of remodeling around the place and that the tanning and massage would be "coming soon". He then went over prices with me and explained how ONLY THE EQUIPMENT is included in the $9.99 membership. If you want to do anything else you have to pay $20.00 per month! Well, where does it say that on my flyer? He then proceeds to tell me that four months after signing up you have to pay an additional $39 annual fee. And for what? They don't even have half the stuff mentioned or pictured in their advertisement! I then ask to speak to a manager about the false advertising but there was not one there! Long story short- if you receive a flyer from this place just know that it is a scam. They don't have half of the things they say they do and the place is a complete dump. read more

I have been coming here for over a year now. I read through some of the post and a lot of it seems like crap. I have never had a problem with staff, they are very friendly greet you when you enter, they greet you upon your exit. If you need the tanning or massage its instantaneous. The gym is always clean, and per gym etiquette you wanna make sure you wipe a machine before and after you use it. as per price $20 a month with a one time a year charge of $39 to lock in your price isn't too bad. Look at other facilities in the area, the monthly rates are through the roof. Not to mention this gym offers childcare at $10 a month so unheard of other gyms charge 30-40. The hours of childcare have gotten much better I am definitely happy about that. I think for the price there is no better gym. read more

I really like this gym, there are just a couple things that are irritating, such as people who sit on machines, not using them, but texting on their phones. I think the gym should have a policy in that. Other gyms I have been to have a "no cell phone" policy, now I understand why. Keep it moving people, cuz i'm there to work out and get home. Also, several lights are burned out (I counted 7) in the tanning bed. If this is one of the perks to having the premium membership, then it should be properly maintained and in good working order all the time. Other than that, I haven't had any issues, and I really like the classes they offer. I do wish they had yoga in the evenings, or on the weekend. So I recently went as a guest to fitness evolution and did an evo fit class with my friend Courtney. I can honestly in the Bay Area we have nothing like this that I've found atleast. The trainer I guess is the same trainer every class and I love that I was only a visitor and she made sure I felt at home with how each exercise worked. Also the whole culture there was so open armed. Everyone there showed me how each work out worked and acted like they already knew me. I didn't feel like I was in some old moms workout class or some young kids thing it was just like everyone there was motivated. I loved it! I plan on moving in September to live out in this area and Im going to look for places around the gym just so my future second home (evo fit ) is near me. I love this place! I have been going for over a year now and it is a perfect fit. I will admit when I first started going there things seemed a bit confusing as far as the billing, customer service was just OK but now they have a new manager (Jacob) and he is great, very nice and he personally greets the customers as they come in. Since he has been manager I have had no issues what so ever. Employees are very courteous and nice now. The place is always clean. You can't beat the price which also includes free tanning and free hydrotherapy massage. I don't have young kids but I was happy to see that they have the daycare back. If I could give this gym a negative score i would. This place is an absolute disgrace to the customer service world. The employees are sweet until you want to cancel your membership. They made cancelling our membership as ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE as they could. Their hours were ridiculous and did not work for us seeing as we work during the week and during the day. We paid extra for the child care and they didn't even provide it on the weekends when we could've used it most. We've been trying to cancel this membership for 4 months but having to do so IN PERSON with only ONE PERSON with the ability to cancel memberships has been a hassle. On our fourth and final attempt 3 employees there threatened to send us to collections if we refused to pay. I've never seen such HORRIBLE customer service over all anywhere. Even after all those visits they continued to charge my account while we couldn't even use the gym. We finally had to send in a certified letter and pay to put a block on my bank account to stop the charges. I will NEVER come here again. The owner should be ashamed of himself. read more

So last Monday evening I went in to just do some cardio and 7 min into my workout, the manager came up to me to talk to me. He wasn't on the clock (just working out) so I was kind of surprised, turned off my music to see what he was saying and he was asking about my yelp review seriously??? There's a time and place to ask me for my input and INTERRUPTING me during my workout when ur not even on the clock is NOT one of them. So irate at how unprofessional this place is. So I'm caught completely off guard while he's interrogating me about why and what and how to make it better but at the same time being combative. Like saying "when I see u on here your just on the bike" .....it's because I can't get a good weight workout here!! Hello??? Leg press is STILL broken from May lmao and they keep lying to their members saying they're "getting the part in this week" lol. I can't stand that shit like just be honest and say it's gonna be longer. Idiots. Needless to say, I joined planet fitness the very next day so nice to have a real gym again. I can't complain about this gym! Of course it has some broken equipment once in a while, but that means that people go and use it. There are plenty of machines to work with! I love the energy of the people that works out there. The staff, the gym members and trainers are all friendly and welcoming here, compared to other experiences I had at other gyms. I've been a member of Fitness Evolution for about six months. There is a good variety of equipment. The machines are clean and in good repair. I usually go at night and I almost always see the cleaning man there wiping down machines, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, etc. The front desk employees have always been friendly towards me. When I ask them to turn on the massage bed for me, they promptly do so. I haven't taken any classes or worked with the personal trainers. Regarding other customers' complaints: ~ When signing up, I paid for the entire year so I don't have any experience with billing. ~ There seems to be 1-2 knowledgeable trainers, but I've watched a couple that make me wonder what qualifications are needed to be hired. Before signing up, go to the gym and watch them in action. Then, make an appointment with the one who you think will best fit your needs. ~ Changing the TV does seem to be a big deal. But, I've found this to be the case when I was a member at 24 Hour Fitness, too. ~ My biggest complaint - The hours are terrible for me and my schedule. I'd prefer that the closing times be at 10pm. All in all, this gym is a really good deal considering the low cost. read more

Have been a member for almost 3 years and love it. For only $9.99 or $19.99 for a membership, I don't see how people whine about all the small issues. Sometimes machines break cause people don't know how to use them, people shouldn't complain about every issue in the book when you're paying an affordable rate. Get over it people! I love the Muvz Fitness class every Wednesday morning at 9:30. Today was my first day going and I was drenched with sweat after. You know you're working your butt off when you get out of a class and you look like a water bucket got poured on you! Overall, this gym has potential. There are a few employees that need to get another job, but I'm sure they'll take care of it because they have a high rate of moving people when they aren't exceeding potential. Great gym! DON'T JOIN THIS GYM!! It's a SCAM - this is why they don't care about professionalism. They have 20 complaints to date with the Better Business Bureau and are not accredited with them - because they are a SCAM. They tell you that you have a month-to-month contract, but when you try to end your membership, you find out they put you in a year-to-year contract you cannot get out of. Some have even said they have been sent to collections after the contract supposedly terminated. Then they change their name as the complaints pile up - they have been called a few names - including FIT U, Fitness Unlimited, and now Fitness Evolution - don't JOIN! read more

Training wasn't something I really considered initially. But in had my first session with Cameron and he was so motivating and I could barely walk the day. STAY. AWAY. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD OR BANK INFORMATION! I absolutely loved this place at first, then the billing problems started happening. When I had enrolled I was supposed to get 2 free months, but they still charged me. I called them, and they said they could not refund me so they credited my account. I thought that was fine, since I had planned on being a member for a long time. Next, I find out there is an annual $40 fee for the gym that was not communicated to me when I signed up. They told me it was due at the end of the year. I thought "fine - the gym has a great low price anyways!" Then, all of a sudden I have a charge on my account for the annual fee a month earlier than they said it was due - they never said it was due 4 months from when you enroll. This is the 2nd time they have charged my account when rent was due, making my account go negative - at this point I am horribly frustrated. Now all of a sudden, there is a $5 a month debit card fee that was never brought up or charged to me before. They also started charging my brother randomly with inconsistent amounts on his bank account, and he also referred 2 people to the gym and never got his monthly discounts they said he would get. It also seems dirty - the tanning bed was pretty gross the first and last time I used it, you can see tanning lotion and other people's "residue" on the glass like it hasn't been cleaned. I also have seen the same trash sitting in cup holders for days on their machines too - used toothpicks, drinks, almonds, Starbucks cups etc. like they don't clean their equipment often. read more

Couldn't disagree more with most of the reviews on here. I have been coming to Fitness Evolution consistently multiple times a week for about 8 months. I love this gym. It is clean, and the staff is professional and friendly. I have tried many different gyms before coming here, and this one stuck. This club has friendly staff. The location is great and parking is readily available. The hours are standard. The equipment is not naintained and many of the weights are missing the clips which renders them useless. 4 of the 15 treadmills actually work the other 11 are not working. If you want to pay the additional $65 per month to be part of the new bootcamp classes you may really enjoy this gym. Did i mention that they no longer have yoga zumba or other free classes with the $19 dollar membership...its actually more per month than advertized when you consider the $65 annual fee that is charged the first month of memnership. I have really enjoyed my membership at Fitness Evolution. I signed up to add the Evo Fiit program to my membership in February, and I have been very impressed with the instruction and the results in my life. I did CrossFit for a few years before joining Evo Fiit, so I was looking for something that would challenge me, yet not be quite as expensive and competitive as CrossFit. Evo Fiit has been perfect for me due to the excellent instruction, reasonable yet challenging pace, and cost effectiveness. I realize there has been some turn over lately, but each instructor for these classes, in my opinion, is well-prepared, very approachable, and pushes the participants to do their best. I do miss the yoga classes, but I am really enjoying Evo Fiit! Amanda is doing a great job and everyone in class is awesome!! read more
