Hard to beat - For the Money. Has some great instructors and a surprising number of classes. Can get crowded at peak times. Price is Right. read more

Pretty good gym. For the money, it's decent value. They have been doing a great job of keeping things clean, and fit a good amount of equipment in such a tiny area (upstairs). That being said, they kept calling my phone after I ended my membership, trying to get me to renew. I had to block them to make it stop. read more

Beware of Hidden 2-Month Minimum! Signed up. Cancelled membership 8 days later. Was hit with another charge 22 days later. They have a "30 day notice" in their cancellation policy. So, unless you cancel on the FIRST DAY of your membership, you are locked in and must pay for two months. They completely hid this predatory billing cycle when I joined. read more

‼DO NOT TRUST Vim + Vigor and Fitness 19!‼ They don't care about you. They don't want to help you. THEY ONLY WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY! I haven't been allowed to go to my usual gym, IN CONCORD, since May this year. I was so excited to join a lifetime premium membership for $300. I paid for my annual membership twice already! When I tried to sign up on May 25, 2023, the manager at the Fitness 19 Concord location was unavailable. So I called Danville to sign up for Fitness 19's lifetime premium membership. I did not want to wait in fear that the opportunity could end at any time, or so I was told, and paid $300 for the membership. They told me I can go to any Fitness 19 location. My purpose was the Concord location, which was Fitness 19 at the time. Later, when I tried to switch my home location to Concord, I called the Danville gym location and spoke to the employees at the Concord location. Nobody knew how, or they didn't want to help me. So I let it be. Sometime later, when the Concord location transitioned to Vim+Vigor, they posted signs stating that lifetime members were able to continue to this location. I spoke to the employees many times, and I was told multiple times that it was fine, until it WASNT. I emailed a manager in Danville named Dan to help resolve my situation, and he told me I am "allowed to come back to the vnv" (Vim + Vigor). He sent me this message via email on May 27, 2026. Today, Oct 6, 2026, I tried to go to the gym (Vim + Vigor) in Concord. A manager in Concord named Jadel said my membership did not transfer through. He told me to sign up for their membership! Their lifetime membership is $399, or I can do their $10 monthly membership. After that frustrating event, I called and spoke with an employee at Danville named Erica, who informed me that their manager, Dan, no longer works for Fitness 19! Erica assured me with confidence based on her experience, that they cannot transfer my account. But what I can do is simply cancel my membership. With no refund! They don't care about their people at all. THEY ONLY WANT TO KEEP YOUR MONEY! Now I'm at a loss for my investment..! By the way, the closest Fitness 19 is in Danville. I've never once stepped foot there and I live in Pittsburg. It's ridiculous that I would have to drive that far out to work out! I want them to honor the access I was promised without charging for a second membership, or offer a financial resolution. read more

Just got the notice that this place is closing December 11th, 2026. So much for the "lifetime membership".

I've been coming here for years because of its location and the price point. Weirdest thing to me is this gym's OBSESSION with Fox News. Very often, every TV that's on a news channel is on some version of Fox News, with little to no effort to balance it out. It's as if the gym cared more about being a propaganda organization than actually running a professional gym, open to all customers. I've mentioned to multiple staff that it'd be nice to have some visible attempt at balance but to no avail. Other than that, it's been mostly fine with some expected small annoyances such as the rush of high schoolers, some intermittent broken equipment, and other small maintenance or cleanliness issues. read more

I came to check out this location since it was close to my wife's class that she had to take for work. It's one of the smaller size of fitness 19 location I've been to. I've been to alot of location including one is SoCal. But that didn't stop me from enjoying my work out! read more

It's an alright gym. Been going prolly 3yrs now. The lifetime membership is definitely worth it especially if you consider the access to other locations and Vim + Vigors. I completely agree w/ folks who've complained about water fountains going weeks w/ the "change filter" indicator light on and I've been several times where every towel in the joint is "in the dryer" . Its does get busy but thats every gym. Whats CRAZY annoying is the amount of people who have zero problem just occupying a machine while they dork around on their phone. Its not just high school kids either. Grown a$$ people taking hella time between sets staring at their phone. When did this become acceptable gym etiquette? read more

This review is overdue as I've been coming to this gym for their cardio dance and Zumba classes for years now. Front desk people are always friendly and they have TOWELS, which many Fitness 29 locations do not offer. The classes are fun and you definitely get your sweat on if you go all out. On a whim last night, I decided to try out Melissa Yep's Zumba class (Tuesday 6:15) after hearing good things about it. I was SO GLAD to have gone to her class. Her choreo was high-energy, intricate and fun! It's not just a body workout -- it's a brain workout which I super enjoy. Her class is my favorite now. Her playlist is lit and nonstop so you get a lot more songs into your workout. I like that she plays her music at a safe volume and she cues using gestures so it doesn't break the flow of the class. (Some teachers would stop between songs to switch to a different song or break down the dance steps. I am glad that Melissa does NOT do that and just gives you an entire hour of dance!) I'll try to post some pics when I dance with Melissa again. read more

Stopped in to get a membership and Raymond V. helped me. He was so nice and very thorough when explaining the membership plans. He also toured me around the gym and showed me everything. If you are thinking about getting a membership I highly recommend talking to Raymond V. I have worked out twice since getting my membership and I love the facility read more

Fitness 19 is a solid neighborhood gym. It's small but clean and has all the equipment you'd need, from free weights to machines to cardio. Everything is organized, though because of the size, it can definitely feel a bit cluttered when more people are in there. The biggest drawback is how crowded it gets -- I've noticed it starts picking up around 2 PM and can be packed during peak hours, which makes the space feel even tighter. That said, if you go earlier in the day or later in the evening, it's much easier to get a full workout in without waiting for machines. Overall, it's a convenient, affordable gym that gets the job done if you time your workouts right. read more

I signed up for a 3-day guest pass, and at no point was it disclosed that there are residency restrictions (Danville, Blackhawk, and Diablo only). This should have been clearly. When I arrived, the front desk asked where I lived and then told me they don't allow people from my city to use the pass. The way this was handled felt very unprofessional and came across as discriminatory. If there are strict location requirements, they need to be clearly stated upfront--not after someone has already shown up. read more

My experience at the Danville Fitness 19 overall has been positive. It does get crowed as the location is small. The good news is the parent company of Fitness 19 will opening a larger location in Alamo plaza. Endo Fitness company is the parent company of both Fitness 19 and Vim + Vigor Fitness . Vim + Vigor Fitness will be opening in Alamo and in larger location in the old Rite Aid building. read more

First and foremost, I want to thank the club manager for listening to me about my issues, and allowing me to express my issues. I love the facility but I have a small issue with the instructors. I attended the yoga class for the first time in Danville's club. Now I do enjoy taking classes and yoga, however the instructor tanja made me feel uncomfortable. She made a comment about my healthcare, asking if I take anti depressants, because if I did it was poisonous and to get off those medications. I told the instructor I had knee pain and I was waiting to hear back from my doctor, but tanja said that the doctor would never fix my issue. My watch notification for my diabetes was going off during class and she got upset with me and made a comment in front of class about my notification going off. A good amount of the class she was just walking around and doing nothing and just talking and walking around letting the members do whatever they wanted without clear guidance, this took about 20 minutes before the class actually started. I appreciate Daniel addressing the issues and taking the time to improve the club and their team, he not only listened but said that he would further investigate and audit the instructors to make sure they are fulfilling their services read more

Fitness 19 has shown terrible customer care and lack of knowledge and communication when it comes to properly managing an account. I canceled my account at a correct time, yet I'm STILL receiving harassing calls from their 3 party collection agency. I've written the management team with no reply, and unable to resolve this matter. Very disappointing read more

I always have an amazing experience at fitness 19. The gym is clean, and the staff is amazing. Audrey Kimbrough was especially helpful and made me feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend Fitness 19 to anyone looking for a place to work out! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This place is horrid. They charged me 110 dollars when my membership was 23 per month after I tried cancelling. I gave 30 days notice and was told I had to wait for the 30 day notice start after the yearly payment went through. I called and emailed explaining that I had paid that in October and now in July they are wanting me to pay again before I can cancel. So I refused to pay. Then I had fraud on my account so I had to close my card they had on file and get a new one, I called the Danville branch and explained. I was told I owed 80 for the previous membership via text. I called to pay that with the card but wanted to ensure that I was not being charged for the yearly fee, then that person said to put the new card on file and that I actually owed 130 dollars, he was unable to give a breAkdown of costs and said he would talk to his manager, I said I don't wNt my new card charges until I speak to the manager and find out the breakdown of costs, he assured me they would not charge me. The next day there was no call from the manager and I was charged 110 dollars. I called again and got a different person and explained I was told I owed $80, then told I owed $130 with no breakdown of costs and then was charged $110 without permission. She assured me she would talk to manager and he would get back to me. 5vdays went by with no call. I called today and once gain talked to a new person and explained it all over again, demanding to speak to the manager, she said he is busy. I still have had no return call, I called back because at this point I still have no clue if my membership has truly been cancelled, and if course they didn't answer the call. This is a terrible location, with horrible customer services skills and a weasely manager, who refused to answer calls. I will be contacting the better business bureau. read more

I need the structure of exercise classes and particularly like one branded "Vancia." It's a combination of cardio, core,HIIT, and a little Zumba. Works your body AND your brain. I look forward to it every Saturday morning to energize after a long work week, but it's also Tuesday a.m. and Wednesday evenings. Vanessa and Michelle are great teachers! I also use the equipment. I appreciate this location is not a mega-size gym, but it also can get a little crowded at peak times. Great location and ample parking. read more

Day 16 with a dirty water filter! Seems that the gym purchases one at a time and waits to reorder. If you put a fountain with a filter please change it regularly. read more

I use the gym for its classes. There is a good variety and the instructors are good. People (instructors and members both) are friendly to newcomers. My three favorite instructors are Terry Baner and the two Vancia instructors, Vanessa Gonzalez and Michelle Londeree. Vancia is a proprietary program of Vanessa's; Vanessa developed the entire choreography, playlists, etc. It's described as a dance class combined with boot-camp exercises (like burpees), but what it reminds me of, pleasantly, is aerobics classes back in the day. Vanessa, the inventor, wears knee braces and has a spinal injury from of a fall she took years ago. The dance program she designed is a challenging workout for anyone, and can be modified to people with injuries. It has improved her mobility. People without injuries also find it a really good workout. Highly recommend. Only thing I would wish for the gym as a whole: Just a few more class sessions (a few on Sundays--a choice of cardio and weights would be ideal--and maybe add a class with weights on Saturdays). Still, I am super grateful for the current selection read more

I have been going here for years, mostly to take the classes. The instructors, for the most part, are really great but there is one male instructor who is not great. He is very rude to the members who take his class and quite condescending. He does not try to help new people who try the class and I learned from several of those people that they do not want to return to this class because of the instructor. He comes off as power hungry. You know - the type of people who when given a bit of power (to stand in front of and instruct a class) abuse it unnecessarily and seem to forget that members pay for his time. It's unfortunate that this instructor is the only one who teaches on the weekend. The rest of the instructors, however, are really good and the classes are fun. read more

Great place to hit a lift! Like most gyms try to avoid peak hours. When I lift early in the AM it's like having a gym to yourself. The manager Julius and the team keep the place so clean, well done! 10/10 would recommend. read more

My daughters were members of the Danville Fitness 19 for years. My wife and daughter went in to the gym in person and canceled . In January we got a 99 and 29 dollar charge. When we went in to get a refund they gave us half because we did not have paperwork saying we canceled. We went in in Person! The new pompous manger blamed it on previous "bad management ". So their bad management cost me over 60 dollars. Do not join! read more

good equipment, well maintained, friendly staff keeps the facilities clean and well maintained.

A small 2-story gym for a really good monthly price, about $20. It's well-maintained, but no, not a great gym. Good for the price. The parking is aplenty, that's rate for a gym. read more

This gym is $10 a month. Is it worth it? Ya. But you get what you pay for, remember that. Front desk never make eye contact, they are indifferent and really don't care. I've seen sooo many staff members come and go. What bugs me, are the overhead TVs. They love FOX news. It's on multiple TVs. I can't stand the news... I don't want to see FOX, nor CNN or MSNBC. How about NO news?! Like other gyms? This gym is NOT clean, contrary to what your read... the equipment is old, dirty, and rusted! Yes! Rusted! It's cheap though!! read more

Alert ‼ Never put your trust to a place where you considered a "healthy hang out spot"! No matter how they showed you the best faces or friendly talks before you got in an "agreement" to have unaware of charges for money! Never trust anyone who promotes you for updating membership or training plans then pushing you to sign the agreement in just a couple of minutes before you even reading it! And the owner/ franchise manager totally "forgot" about what he has talked to you and the requested information from you about the $$ refunds and totally brushed off anything he said........! I like the various exercise classes in the morning. Leslie's cardio dance and power sculpt classes are very popular and good. Michelle's VANCIA class is a terrific combination of aerobic dance, and target exercises such as sit-ups, pushups, squats, etc. You get a complete workout all in one class. Terri's SHINE and power sculpt classes are also great classes - shine is a dance class and power sculpt is strength training, balance and stretching. There are other instructors and classes at this gym but these are the ones I attend. You should try out this gym. The price is more affordable than a lot of other gyms. read more

My wife signed up for a year, and decided she wanted to cancel. The year would be up in January. They agreed to cancel her membership and that it would not renew come January. Well, big surprise! They continued to charge our account in February and March. Upon calling them, they informed me that she has to go back in person to cancel her membership. These types of shady business practices should not be tolerated. Spend your money elsewhere. This gym deserves to go under. Update: A manager at the gym called me and offered to remedy the situation by cancelling my wife's membership and refunding the Feb and March draws. I've upgraded the review to reflect that level of customer supoprt, but they should really change the way they do these things to make it easy. read more

Very clean gym with lots of machines to choose from. Extremely well-sanitized. I'll definitely be going back!

They've hired new management here and the gym is now moving in the right direction. It's nice to see the gym being cleaned regularly, the weights being put away and the workout mats cleaned and the place dusted and the employees starting to take ownership of the gym. The gym has been opening and closing on time. It would be nice if ownership invested more in making the gym clean and a healthy place to be.and work protocols that are enforced. read more
