Their attitude first visit felt icy, but they have been very kind from second visit on. The amenities are top tier and professionalism of the personal trainers are second to none. Shoutout to Adrian, Fallon, Jacklyn. Looking forward to taking classes with other instructors too. I also appreciate that the men's locker room is cleaned throughout the day and restocked. The older gentleman cleaning the locker room is a great blessing too. Cleanliness is important to the life time gym experience that sets it apart from other gyms. Sometimes I go at 4am or 5am and the locker room condition is pristine for the start of the day.

I joined Life Time Bridgewater as a premium member, paying nearly $300 per month. As a former…read moretennis player, I was excited to learn pickleball since it is the primary racquet sport offered at this location. Unfortunately, my experience with the pickleball program has been extremely disappointing. While the facility itself is beautiful, the culture on the pickleball courts is the opposite of what I expected from a premium club. The staff came across as gatekeepers rather than customer service professionals. Instead of making members feel welcome, I often felt as though they were deciding whether I was "allowed" to play. As a paying premium member, I should not feel like participation is a privilege granted by staff. The skill assessment process is another major concern. Members are required to pay for an assessment to access different levels of play, yet there is little transparency about how ratings are determined. In my experience, the results did not reflect actual on-court performance, and there was no meaningful explanation of the evaluation criteria. A player can compete successfully against intermediate-level players and still be placed in the beginner category without a clear explanation. A transparent, objective rating system would be much fairer. Reservations can also be canceled without meaningful notice or explanation, making it difficult for members to plan their schedules. After speaking with other members, I found that several expressed similar frustrations about the management of the pickleball program. People join Life Time because it is a premium club, and the membership fees reflect that. Members deserve professionalism, respect, transparency, and consistent customer service. The facilities are outstanding, but the management and customer experience of the Bridgewater pickleball program fell far short of the standards I expected.

I started working out with Wayne in the beginning of January so I've been working with him as my…read moretrainer for about 3-4 months and I have nothing but good things to say about him. Wayne is super friendly, personable and easy to get along with - I have no doubt that anyone who works with him would think the same. He is very professional and spends the time to identify and set personal goals with you, and then he tailors a workout program specific to your needs. He has over 20 years of experience as a trainer and it really shows. He knows tons of exercises and variations to always keep each workout interesting so you'll never get bored - a big bonus is that he'll also explain each exercise that you do and explain which muscle groups the exercise is targeting so you not only just do the exercise, but you also know why. The equipment and workout studio is all super clean. The workout setting is also very private (it's 1 on 1), not like a gym where there might be other people walking around, so for those that are more self-conscious or shy, this is a great benefit. Personally, I think Wayne takes great care in choosing and selecting appropriate weights for the exercises I do (he always chooses just enough to challenge but not overwhelm), and he seems to really understand my limits and is always pushing me to be better. He's always making sure that each exercise I do is with proper form and will immediately correct the form to make sure I don't get injured. I work with him currently 3 times a week, and I leave each workout very exhausted but also feeling fantastic and motivated. Definitely more than satisfied plus the price is very competitive so I'm more than happy.

I am mentioning the competition because I see great gyms like this having to compete with gimmicky places that are not at all conserved with fitness (see one of 100+ videos on YouTube about this). They clientele ranges from people who are totally out of shape to Elite athletes. The great thing about the severely out of shape clientele is that they don't stay that way for long (awesome). I heard someone talking about how being in the Gold's Gym Bridgewater environment really helped then get in shape, a place where people mind there own business but are totally willing to help if asked. The member had previously been at "Planet Fitness" and had no access to any real guidance and were (literally) fed pizza at this Walmart of Fitness (the high cost of low price). It is this conversation I had with a member that made me think to compare and contrast these businesses with VERY different motives again, look up Planet Fitness on YouTube, if it sounds like I have something against them it's because I do, I don't like seeing people getting mislead and taken advantage of. A true nurturing environment is one where people who are competitive bodybuilders/true athletes are totally willing to (if asked) to help out anyone who asks and those that are new are welcomed by the training staff and members alike, just a great vibe. I myself came in pretty out of shape and in a few months I am on my way back to being in great shape, I attribute a lot of this to the top-notch equipment and pleasant environment of this gym. The environment/energy of a place like this is extremely important because you have to A) want to be there and B) feel motivated while you are, do not underestimate this, it is a huge reason that if you want to look good, great or totally ripped you need to be comfortable and motivated in a place that is serious about your fitness.

The team helped me with some important stretching I could handle but my brain needed a nutrition & lifestyle reeducation to help me beat Diabetes and be prepared to strengthen my body. I was temporarily in a wheelchair and Karen ran over to bring me a container of protein powder shake mix. This helped contain my sugar reading swings but I needed more intervention with my diet. Karen & I surfed the web to find a program that meets my needs. In just a few days, my sugar readings are at a consistent in range that I haven't seen ever in 10 years as a diabetic. Now I'm 2 weeks into this shift in lifestyle. I'm walking a whole lot better, Anthony is building back my strength, we are discussing how to maintain this progress when I travel on business. Life is complicated. I knew I was not going to succeed by myself. Karen and Anthony really care about their clients and in a few short months I'm in a direction I thought I'd never see. My Endocrinolgist was happy surprised at my levels and thinks this direction will absolutely impact reducing my very high A1C. So, bottom line, LFTD Fitness is a great team. Very inclusive.
