The classes are challenging and fun and I know that if I show up, I'll get a great workout. I have noticed a difference in my body and I'm excited to keep it up. Outside of the gym I'm noticing that my running is improving. I've shaved almost a minute off my mile since I started training with David, even though that wasn't something I was specifically training for. When I broke my arm, I was so bummed that I wouldn't be able to work out. But David encouraged me to go to class and modified my workouts. My Ortho Dr. & Physical therapist were amazed how quickly I healed. The Dr told me that being active promotes blood flow and speeds up healing. It worked, I only missed a week from the gym and could put weight on my arm after 4 months! David's mission is to bring together a community of healthy and happy people through fitness. He and his team train in a personalized way that allows every person to be in their best shape because they believe that everyone can be an athlete. I personally believe that the owner of a gym is a huge reflection on the gym and its direction. With David's friendly demeanor, knowledge of physical fitness, and ambition to take the gym to the next level to further the quality of lives through diet and physical movement.

I went there with a friend around 11:20 am on a Sunday, and David was already there with few people , getting ready to start the session at 11:30. He charged me only $10, and gave us a small discount for my friend, and charged him only $8. In the past , I had minor IT-band syndrome , and after mentioning that to David, he showed extreme knowledge of the human body, and explained to me exactly what exercise I should, and shouldn't do. The workout was intense and my body felt sore then next day , which logically is I great result from the hour long workout we had ;) Thank you David, and keep doing what you do, because you are really good at it !

I am wrong to make this about personal emotions and need to just state facts about the business. The gym is a bit small and tight knit, everybody is friendly. Jasha is the best. He's been doing this since he was a kid. 30 plus years of coaching under his belt. Clean equipment, water and ice available, sauna, all very nice. Can get a bit crowded on occasion. But that can lend itself to motivation. They also do a kids program, which I believe nobody else does here in Marin. Cool. Various programs with increasing benefits and coaching as the membership fee goes up, all very standard. Can get a key and come in on your own time if the morning or evening hours don't work for you, so that can be a good option. This gym is set up for competition, the programming is progressively set up to peak you on a certain day. They stress moving slow when beginning to prevent injuries and are very strict about techniques. Teaches proper form before just building brute muscle, so you can avoid injuries.

The group of 10- 15 women in the class are very encouraging and supportive. Everyone works at their own pace so you stay challenged and no one is left behind. Not only am I about to sign up for my fourth session but I have lost over 25 lbs and several inches. Most importantly, I feel stronger and have more endurance and energy to get me through my every day life. I have been going to the 5 day a week program but she also offers 3 and 4 day a week packages. There are also 3 different sessions during the day, so you can sign up for one and go to others if your schedule changes. The workout itself varies every single day. Some days are mostly strength and some are mostly cardio, but every day is a mix of both. She has different tools and routes and circuits every single day. you never get bored! Every day includes core training and stretching. We also do an assessment the first and last week of boot camp that illustrates how much stronger and faster we have gotten. When I first started I could barely complete a push up and it took me almost 18 minutes to complete a mile, now I am under 15 and working towards a 10 minute mile!

Since having a baby in late 2007 I haven't been very active so I really needed something that was going to kick my butt and this was definitely it! The class focuses on cardio, developing strength, endurance and much more. I attended the 3 day a week program and in 4 weeks lost 11% of my body fat. But I have to say that while I was doing this program I also cut out all junk food so it was definitely a combination of working out and eating healthy. I'm signing up again for the next session.

I initially signed up for an 8-week challenge and then committed to an 18-month challenge because I instantly felt inspired by seeing how many calories I was burning in such a short amount of time. Prior to coming here, I inconsistently would go to the gym. I had zero discipline however since coming here, I have integrated bootcamp workouts into my daily routine, which I had NEVER thought I could do. If you are a beginner or getting back into your fitness, no matter where you are in your fitness journey, you should consider coming here. With your membership you have access to unlimited HIIT classes, so you can start off with one or double up. The HIIT classes change daily, and the class schedule has many options to choose from, which makes it easier to find a time that fits for you. The workouts can be challenging, yet fun, and you will walk away feeling accomplished. I love the structure of the class that offers a good balance of cardio and strength. The coaches and the supportive atmosphere got me, everyone is encouraging and the coaches do an amazing job keeping everyone motivated and engaged. The parking can be a bit challenging; with the move to the new location, I am excited to see the ongoing upgrades and appreciate the commitment by Trevon in enhancing the space. I highly recommend this boot camp to anyone looking to improve their fitness while having a great time!

I have to say out of all the gyms I've been to: FBBC, UFC, Planet Fitness, The Camp, and many other local family owned gyms, Concord fitness boot camp aka Fit Body Boot Camp concord has been the absolute best! I lost weight but the change was not just in appearance. I actually felt stronger and could notice the difference in my strength. My energy and endurance was like my teen days. The crazy part is appearance wise this gym has been the least impressive. But Virgil makes the small space functional and you really don't need much more than this. When I showed up for my first trial the location made me hesitant. Virgil's customer service was great and he made me feel welcomed. The other members were friendly and there were all ages and body types. I stayed and loved it. Everyone was extremely helpful and motivating. They all push you to finish your reps, to keep moving and not quit, and if you struggle they make you feel okay with modifying while teaching you ways to work on it until you can one day do what you're struggling with. It was hard but it seemed like within days my body learned how to handle doing sit ups and push ups. Another major part is nutrition. Virgil helped me with a shopping list and meal ideas. He is respectful but also doesn't sugar coat. With each weigh in he reminded me what I needed to do to stay on track. I also learned how to count calories. If I still lived in the area I would see about joining again. If I didn't give it 5 stars it is solely because of the cost. When I went it cost around by $300/month. Is it worth it? Yes. Is it affordable and feasible? No. I could not keep up going there as it was too much for my budget. Pictures for comparison of cheeks and chin when I first started in March to September

With reassurance from the owner (whose phone number was on Google), it was indeed open for business, I was excited to get moving for my Friday workout. I was introduced to the owner and other people who showed up for the class and I could tell they were regulars. The place looked pretty legit as you know I love legit gyms :-) I was asked to disinfect the bottom of my shoes as street shoes aren't allowed on the floor, since we laid on them for floor workouts. That made me feel better because I ain't tryna rest my head on a floor where people before me don't know where to walk sometimes and you don't know where they come from ahem, SF CITY STREETS!!! This was my first Bootcamp class in a long while so I was pretty thankful that Virgil (owner and trainer) allowed me to modify my workouts. It was a damn good sweat and I had great energy the rest of the day.
