Frank is the best trainer you can possibly find! I have a back and elbow injuries, and Frank knows how to modify workouts so I'm getting strong and lean, without jeopardizing my body. Update 2-2-19 Following Frank's advice on nutrition, moving from steady pace cycling to interval cycling on my non-training days, and increasing my training days to 3 times per week, I've been able to decrease my A1C from 9, which is very high to 5.5 in less than a year, build muscle that I've never had before and reduce fat. Still have a ways to go, but I know my progress would not be possible without Frank. I also like Frank's new gym. It's different, but the equipment seems to put more emphasis on real world strength training than just the aesthetics. ----- I've been a client of Frank's for several months now. I started working with Frank in September 2022 based on his excellent reviews, and this review will only add to those. I have always been fairly active and eaten well, but I noticed that my body was changing in ways I really didn't like, and my old tricks that used to work to keep extra pounds off just weren't working anymore. I also really wanted to start incorporating weights into my routine, but didn't know where to start, and I had a lot of perceived roadblocks - like chronic pain in my wrist and arches, and intermittent inflammation. Frank gave me confirmation that my goals could actually be accomplished, but also a hard reality check that this could only happen through good old fashioned hard work!! He is skilled & knowledgeable enough to work around my odd pains and answer my endless questions. Right away, he wrote me a nutrition plan that made me realize I needed to eat a lot more protein, almost as many carbohydrates, but lower my fat intake. I love this online program! Frank provided me with a template of what I needed to do and it was really up to me to do the work, build and keep myself accountable. The coolest part of the program is the app: your workouts (with video instruction) are uploaded once a week, instant access to message/interact w/ your trainer, track your progress (photos, measurements), you're able to track reps and PR's. etc. Its easy to request having an exercise subbed one out if you have a physical limitation (i.e. I have a bad back). Oh and based on my goals (building more muscle and toning up), I LOVED my assigned cardio workouts bc who doesn't love having to do it only once a week 10-12 minutes and it's over? I also loved that my weight workouts were short but intense and you could see physical results after a month. It's all about maximizing your time at the gym. And I feel smarter about my nutrition now... It's not about eating the same foods everyday, getting burned out on spinach and ground turkey and binging on sweets and feeling remorse after. I still can't believe that I'm eating almost 1800 cals a day and have not gained anything. That's when I knew this was working!
