What a fun microbrewery! We happened upon this place our first evening in Beaufort and it just so happened that it was bingo night, what a hoot. Plus they had a taco truck and fire pits! Beer, fire, bingo and tacos, what more could a person want? I tried both their IPAs and went with the American IPA, Bottoms Up, and David had their stout, Y'all & Oats . Both nice brews! The place was jam packed with locals, the bartender knew everyone by name. We will definitely be back. read more

Great brewery just steps from downtown Beaufort! Came in on a Friday afternoon and had two flights-"the dark side of the moon" which included porters, an ale and a double IPA. All of which were true to their styles of beer. And then a second flight which included The Hefeweizen, Raspberry wheat beer, a New England IPA and a red ale-also all very well done and as described on the brewery "menu". This place is shotgun style with the tanks in the same area where you sit to enjoy your brew which adds to the ambiance. There are also a few tables out front and some cornhole boards outside. Bottom line: Solid beer choices and a great selection. read more

Beers at Fishtown were great! My husband really enjoyed the variety of beers and ended up trying several different ones by getting two flights. Reasonably priced and they had just won an award for the best beer at the local festival (which had some big names there as well!) Some space inside for group seating and a large TV inside along with cornhole and some games outside! They don't serve food, but I saw some people getting food from the place next door. read more

Nice little brewery just a block from the waterfront. Visited in September 2020 during phase 2.5 of COVID-19 pandemic. The beer selections were nice. They offered a small pour (8oz) and the usual pint pours. What I don't understand is why, "...because of COVID-19", according to our beer slinger, they don't offer samples or flights. We had one and went down the street to another brewery that was more than happy to serve a sample or flight. I want to support small business but guys, you need to be careful on your customer service. read more

Love this place! Great community atmosphere (and a great gathering spot for locals) and awesome beer. There are 12 on tap at one time and they feature a lot of variety so there's something to match every mood or taste. Small inside but with good weather there's plenty of room to sit outside. Great place for a casual drink with some great beers. There's an option here for everyone, including a selection of IPAs, lighter ales, and (my personal favorite) stouts. Had such a great time enjoying a few beers here. We opted for a flight to try a few of their beers. They offer about 8 of their own beers and 6 of other local beers. They have a great selection, including non-ipa beers. We opted for the red ale, blonde ale, brown ale, and Belgian wit. We loved the wit and even shared a pint after. We've been spending the last two winters in the area, and watched this one being started last year. I was excited to try it when we returned, and it didn't disappoint. I think they might be brewing the best beer in the Moorehead-Beaufort area, and the place has a really nice feel about it. It has a pet friendly patio out front. NC has a lot of good breweries. Most that I've visited have one or two really good brews. Fishtowne has a dozen on tap, and based on the five I tried, they're really on mark. I started with the "Dark Side" flight. Tonight that included an amber ale, brown ale, milk stout, and salted chocolate caramel porter. All four were very good representatives of their types. I'm a bit partial to stouts and porters (they're the only types I brew myself) so I was really interested in the porter. It's very well done. The chocolate and caramel don't make it sweet, but give it a rich, full body, and with just a hint of the salt. I finished the evening with a Belgian Tripel. These are usually strong enough that I like to leave them for last--this one is no exception. It has that delicious sour tripel bite without taking it too far. Next time I have to bring my growlers to the coast. I gotta take the porter and tripel home--and don't think I could choose just one. read more

Very disappointed with the bartender's lack of attention to detail concerning the health of visiting patrons during the pandemic. He had the mask on at first, then took it off as he was walking throughout the place and serving other customers. Customers were walking inside without wearing a mask, so there was no enforcement of the executive order to keep everyone as safe as possible.
