Happily, the Good 2 B Home, next door, was open. Proprietor Shelley Wertz was minding the shop, so we wandered around this charming, eclectic & really lovely shop. This is not your 'run of the mill' gift shop. There are items from local producers & artists are really 'cool stuff. Particularly, we liked the industrial-looking lamps that had usb & plug outlets. Really cool! Shelley could not have been more helpful & kind. Needless to say, we'll be back! (Hopefully at a time we can get coffee next door!)

I had no idea just how massive this place was from the outside. It is like one big scavenger hunt…read moreinside that seems to wind endlessly through vendors and just when I thought it was done, I discovered there was a whole lower level. The staff was so kind. I purchased one of those old time plastic popcorn holiday decorations that were massively popular in the 70s. My mom had many of these for the holidays and I've managed to uncover a few of them for my house. It always makes me think of her. On this visit, I saw a very unique one that was a hippie love sign. It was a little out of my price range, but my kids insisted I go back and get it. I reluctantly agreed, and the shopkeeper was so nice to let me get it despite actually being closed. She told me these signs used to cost $2 a piece. I definitely paid a lot more than that! But am so happy whenever I see it in our window.

Minus 10 stars Linda! Two floral arrangements were sent to my daughter, one via FTD, one via Flowers From You, argh to both! Super arghs to Loving Touch!!!! Both arrangements were mostly greens, I hate greens, period, in an arrangement, to me they look cheap. The arrangements were 90% greens and nothing of what I ordered. One arrangement was to be 15 tulips of various colors and nothing else. I had looked for some flowers in the grocery store down the road, but to no avail so I was directed to this florist. Unfortunately, when I arrived, it was after 5:00p.m. and the store was closed. However, the staff saw me and came and unlocked the door to let me in and let me eat their fresh made candy while we chatted. They even offered to make an arrangement for me right then if I wanted to wait a little bit. I ended up not but had hoped to come back the next day but was unable to. My second chance to deal with them came this week with the passing of my sister. When I called, Bethany, (one of the owners) answered the phone and was very pleasant. She was very helpful, directing me to their website and how to pick arrangements that would be perfect for a less than perfect day. She was also very clear about when I should call back by to ensure that the arrangement made it to the funeral home. I did call back and this time spoke to another employee who was very knowledgable and worked with me to honor the pricing that Bethany and I had spoken about. The flowers arrived at the funeral home with no problems and they were spectacular. The Morning Star arrangement that I ordered was very large and the quality of the flowers was superb! Although I do not live locally, if I ever had a reason to go back to Bedford, P.A., I would certainly use this florist again.

I did end up attending the event with my service dog, and received no access issues. My mother and I enjoyed the event, and I'll definitely be going back again next year. I'm still leaving the original review below, and not giving 5 stars, simply because the initial interaction was definitely still highly unprofessional and unpleasant. Original review: Highly disrespectful. I very politely and professionally messaged the page in regards to the FAQ stating "registered" service dogs would be an "exception". Response from the website contact form was non-existent, and response from the Facebook page was slow and unprofessional. I provided a direct link to the ADA's website on service dogs, and explained that by federal law (the ADA, enforced by the DOJ) there is no registration, certification, or other documentation required for a service dog to accompany the disabled handler into public places. 2 days passed after sending that, so I sent a follow up, to ensure it was read. Got a reply saying they hadn't had time to read it. I was polite in my reply once again. 5 days later (tonight) still no reply so I followed up again. Received a message stating "We are aware that service dog registration is not required by law." So I replied expressing my confusion, and was met with a great deal of rudeness and unprofessionalism.
