It's not a mall in the sense that there are chain stores located within, but it's a mall when you consider that there are local stores. This place spans anywhere from a half a block to a block. With this building it includes, I believe, the building next to it and possibly the one next to that. It's a nice little mix of small town business. From what I gathered, and no there is no directory, they have a banquet type room to hold parties (the day I was there they were about to hold a painting party), a book store, a handmade craft store, vitamin shop and a cafe. The floors above seem to hold offices for businesses and medical needs. It's quaint and unique, that is for sure.

So this is like a one stop place for your formal/bridal needs. The only down side here is the road it sits on. You have to time it just right to exit as there is a constant stream of traffic. I did end up attending the event with my service dog, and received no access issues. My mother and I enjoyed the event, and I'll definitely be going back again next year. I'm still leaving the original review below, and not giving 5 stars, simply because the initial interaction was definitely still highly unprofessional and unpleasant. Original review: Highly disrespectful. I very politely and professionally messaged the page in regards to the FAQ stating "registered" service dogs would be an "exception". Response from the website contact form was non-existent, and response from the Facebook page was slow and unprofessional. I provided a direct link to the ADA's website on service dogs, and explained that by federal law (the ADA, enforced by the DOJ) there is no registration, certification, or other documentation required for a service dog to accompany the disabled handler into public places. 2 days passed after sending that, so I sent a follow up, to ensure it was read. Got a reply saying they hadn't had time to read it. I was polite in my reply once again. 5 days later (tonight) still no reply so I followed up again. Received a message stating "We are aware that service dog registration is not required by law." So I replied expressing my confusion, and was met with a great deal of rudeness and unprofessionalism. It's been open for over 100 years and has managed to remain so despite the pandemic and any other factors. It's a blessing to have such a business remain open for the community. They have anything and everything you could look for with more than reasonable prices. If you can't find what you're looking for at lowes or Walmart, it's a sure bet that you will here. And if you don't he is more than willing to order it for you. Great place that we should t take for granted having available to us.

We went in to buy an ax and I found so much more...all kinds of enamelware, cooking supplies, great baskets, fun decor and on and on. The store has been 'in this family business' for 91 years and you can just feel the love of the business and the people who shop there. I did definitely pick up a small Alpaca plush. I kept thinking 'Llama!' but apparently llamas and alpacas are two different animals, Alpaca's being a lot cuter. The only reason I brought this up is because at work we have a running joke about Llamas and thought it'd be funny as hell to tie some bling and green stones around the doll's neck..but the Alpaca is a wonderful substitute and thus inspired me to buy one :p

I love locally owned small town stores. Especially ones that are manned by well knowledge…read moreemployees. I was just walking around this town when I decided to see what was inside the one building. Upon entering I stumbled into here, a quaint little bookshop. It's so odd to still be able to stumble into a place like this in a small town downtown area. It's actually quite welcoming too. I wasn't looking for anything in particular and started browsing. I was startled a bit when I heard the quiet voice ask me if I needed any help. I was startled because it came from the sweetest, little, old lady I have ever met. Did I mention she was little, she was in the store, but I wasn't able to see her until she was near me. After I got my bearings again, I asked her if they had any good bedtime story books that a three year old would enjoy. You should have seen her go! She knew every single book that might fill this request. I ended up buying two that she suggested. I thank her for the help and I am quite sure that my niece is very, very happy. Hairy Maclary is now one of her favorite books before bed.
