BUT It carries what a good hardware store needs so long as you're not turning your back yard into a recreation of the Atlantic Wall. It is easy to reach and best of all, it has staff who can help you. The brand slogan is 'ace is the place for the helpful hardware man' and they live up to it. While finding an orange vested helped at home depot is becoming akin to finding the lost grail the staff here are helpful, easy to find and available all of which makes such trips so much easier. It does not have a big garden center for plants and the like but it is a hardware store that is easy to reach, well stocked and staffed by knowledgeable friendly people, do you really need much more? read more

My review was taken down by the owner and yelp said the following "We're reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed the review you posted to Fisher's Ace Hardware because it didn't look like your content depicted an experience at this location." My experience was at this location as well as i have a receipt to prove my experience was at this location. Nice try but will keep leaving the same review to warn other people to prevent them from being scammed by the con artist that runs this place. This is a fantastic store in Lansdale with plenty of parking and everything that you need . I really like their lawn and garden products, they are competitive with the large stores but so much easier to find and purchase. They also offer service ,recommendations and help finding what you need. I just entered the world of pellet smoker cooking and they gave an overwhelming aisle of products. read more

This is not the first time, but it surely will be the last because my mistake for continuing to go back, but I won't shop at this location or any ace ever again because the male employees are extremely sexist! every time I go in there with my husband, we get asked over and over and over again if we need help. I walk in there today with my 15-year-old daughter. There are tons of employees and I'm not asked once if I need help, I walked down every single aisle. I had over a handful of male employees by-pass me, and go straight to male customers and ask them if they needed help! now of course I could ask an employee for help, but I don't wanna bother one. I don't know if they're busy And why do your male employees only ask male customers if they need help?! not only did I recognize it but my 15-year-old daughter recognized it and she was the one who spoke up and said something and said this place is disgusting and sexist and that's a 15-year-old girl speaking, not me a 40-year-old Woman who you're probably going to call a Karen! that wasn't the end of our bad experience in your store finally I asked an employee for help showed him a picture of a timer that my husband bought and I said my husband bought and I didn't even get to finish and that employee laughed in my face and said yeah two years ago we don't carry that here anymore. I said excuse me now he actually bought it two days ago and he bought two of them and I came back for a third one. He proceeded to argue with me and call me a liar. Are you serious? why why was that necessary? Then he proceeded to scan one of the empty racks and say oh this is where your timer would be but we're out of stock and I said can I see that please and he showed me the phone and the timer that he pulled up and I said Yep not the timer. I'm looking for yet again then he disappears for five minutes and comes back and says yeah we don't carry that! Fishers Ace Hardware has four locations. Of those, the Lansdale location has the largest stock of hardware, tools, and anything else that one may need. This location is so large, they could probably fit a Home Depot or Lowes store inside the four walls. Fishers has great customer service at this store and any of the 3 other locations. Last time I was there, they were more than willling to honor my rewards discount I received from their Huntingdon Valley store, whom I go to regularly. Absolutely horrible customer service from the gentleman in the back checking inventory. The lady I spoke with up front was wonderful and informed me that 4 of my requested items are available and they could hold them for pickup. My call was transferred to spaced-out & inconsiderate older gentleman in the back department. He put me on hold numerous times, and when I read him the item number for the 2nd time, he put me on hold halfway through me reading the 7 digit #, and he spent more time looking for the wrong item (a 5 digit number since he hung up before the last 2). There are no 5 digit item numbers...Once he finally found the item, after 20 minutes on the phone, he said "we have 4." I kindly asked if he could hold the items at the front of the store because they are heavy, to which he then asked for my full name and address!!!! I did not give him my address however I am in awe a pickup from any store would require such sensitive information requested by the rudest employee. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Beware of Ace Hardware when you buy any gas powered equipment. I bought a lawnmower on July 21 and the engine seized on the unit today as I was mowing the lawn. Fishers Ace Hardware will not take the mower back after 30 days. They told me to contact the manufacturer for the warranty. I had the same thing happen with Home Depot a few years back and Home Depot honored the warranty and gave me a new mower.. So Ace Hardware has just lost a good customer. Horrible experience with a girl that knew nothing about paints and appeared to be annoyed at anyone that attempted to ask her a question. I realized I was on my own, which is the norm for this store. After finally finding a color I felt would work she tells me the paint machine is down. I went to Lowes and found better prices and a far more helpful staff. Best customer service I have ever experienced! When my mother first went to get our Traeger Grill she had 4 different employees helping her out, giving her advice, and sharing their own experiences with her! When our Traeger started to have issues, we called and asked what we should do and they were so nice and friendly and really cared about us and wanted to help us out. They are delivering us a new grill within days! So glad we decided on ACE as opposed to Home Depot! I highly recommend this place especially if you are looking for a Traeger! read more

A very big thank you to Bill who works at this Ace location back in the key department. I called to see if they would be able to get me a new keyless remote for my car because I was having trouble with both of the ones I received from the dealer. I knew the dealer would charge me a lot of money for a new one. Bill looked the make and model of my car up in their system but unfortunately the automaker still has the patent on this particular key so he was unable to get it for me. He asked me what the problem was and I explained it to him. He said that if I wanted to swing by he would take a look at it. Not only was he able to fix the key I initially took in, but he asked me about the second one and he was able to fix that as well. I was only charged a minimum amount of money for the labor. He saved me at least $300 that I would have had to spend to get a new key from the dealer. This, in my opinion, is the epitome of great customer service. He could have just told me he didn't have the key and hung up, but instead he wanted to try to help me resolve the issue. I am truly grateful!! read more

Less gas & time than commuting to big chain home improvement stores compensates when Ace is a higher price even after specials. In addition to supporting local biz, I like the more available, helpful, creative, neighborly staff as knowledgeable if not more so than big chains right down to the cashiers who also quickly get help for you to your car if needed; better product selection; & the only shop I can find which still hand-guides key copies to be more like the originals, better than automated cutting I've had to return to other stores. One reviewer complains "bait & switch" sales I've never experienced at this ACE though I can see a small store could run out; so I go quickly when sales flyers arrive, and online promo purchases can be delivered to store without shipping charge to be held in back of store for your pickup & payment at register. I don't use the ACE credit card since Rewards are uncompetitively tiered & expire quickly; but I always use my Ace membership card (required for some store specials) & I run in quickly with those rewards coupons when they come in postal/email before they expire quickly. read more

Great location. Helpful employees. Store management not so good. Had a bad return experience about a seven months ago were the cash register employee gave me the return but the manager rejected it. He just walked by and said no. Had the receipt, the product, but was missing a portion of the wrapping which had been torn while opening. Did not even look at me. Went today on a spring Saturday morning. Ten people waiting in line for one register. The manager was nowhere. The lady working the register called three times for help. It's a shame it is so close. When I moved to this area 15 years ago this was my go to store. It was a super nice experience to shop there and meet a few really nice employees.. My how things have changed ! Sad to think that I avoid this store as much as possible at all cost. I only spend my hard earned dollars here when I'm in a pinch for time and I need an item like 5 bucks or less. Just about all of the employees who made it nice are gone. Sad to think that they improved in "reverse".. I have come to rely on Lowes and never a dissapointment and as a customer I am treated with respect in Lowes each and every time. The manager at Ace Hardware, John, needs to be replaced with almost anyone who has a clue about making a customer feel welcome to spend there.
