The front office employees are amazing - all the woman are great spirits and energy, usually having no issues at all and enjoying their company - honestly upstanding characters and very respectful. Dr. Timko is very particular - a quiet and reserved man, his communication skills are less than par imo - sometimes it felt as though questions were ignored and you'll often get a relatively blank stare to questions asked if it's not on the agenda. It would sometimes feel as though he was a "solution" finder, rather than a "problem" finder and it sometimes left me feeling unsatisfied after our interactions as he wanted to find the solution rather than explore the problem. Conversations are extraordinarily quick and can leave a bad taste in your mouth. Performance of the surgery's went well enough, though I must recommend elsewhere if you have any major nerve issues with surgery related procedure - having an exceptional fear of needles, the nurses did amazingly at keeping their cool, but the doctor didn't do nearly as well of a job. Overall the firm did a fine job conducting the surgery - but the social interactions can make the experience far from perfect.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled by Dr. Dean on 11-24-25. Prior to the procedure, everything was…read morecompleted to provide for a cost estimate for the work. I was to owe $50 for my deductible and that was it. Now, well after the fact and with insurance involved, I am being told I owe more. In fact, I have received more than one letter outlining different amounts that might be due. One dated 1-12-26 says "Please pay $2,335.00 by 2-2-26". Another dated 1-20-26 claims I owe $625.00 due immediately. The fact of the matter is, I likely owe nothing, but I needed to get someone from their office to justify to the insurance company why the surgical codes billed were necessary. Such as simple ask, where the answer gets the office paid, and gets me out of the discussion. Win win. But no. It was already unpleasant to receive letters stating that I should provide "immediate attention" to the situation, but even more so when I had to leave a message twice (three days apart) to get someone in the office to respond. Definitely not "immediate". Don't expect me to act "immediately" if your team cannot act immediately. Prior to calling the office, I called my insurance to see what they would say is the issue. The issue is, the office billed for surgical codes and procedures, yet provided no notes to justify why the surgery was needed (as opposed to a simple extraction). When the office representative called me back, she was very short and unsympathetic to my situation. She basically told me it was my problem, and that all the paperwork I received prior said "estimate" so it is what it is. She said your office does not submit "notes" and only submits an x-ray. She told me the x-ray is enough to which I stated it obviously is not.....as here we are. I asked if there was any way to get the justification over to the insurance, and was told perhaps if they wanted to send something....but your rep was not willing to do anything to help facilitate the reconciliation or to make that happen. It is unfortunate, after having trusted your office to help me navigate this journey, that she could be so unwilling to assist or to help provide for some type of mutually agreeable solution. I shared my feelings also about being in the middle between their office and the insurance company trying to mediate but that was of little concern as well. I contacted my insurance again, and ultimately was told that they would pay the claim out, but they do need some type of surgical notes or explanation as to why my teeth had to be surgically removed as opposed to a standard extraction. They provided the attached EOB, and said I could write back with my own narrative as to why the teeth needed to be surgically removed......but I am not sure I am qualified or would provide what they need to justify the charge/procedure. I tried to call the office back, and to speak with someone else to simply see if anyone could help in providing a simple justification statement outlining why surgical removal was necessary. I think this is a simple request to a simple issue, and again hate that a staff member with less than stellar customer service skills felt it appropriate to dump a $625 bill in my lap, instead of working with me to resolve the matter (for all involved). At the time of this review, the issue remains unresolved, and I await a response from the office to see if they will provide me with the justification my insurance seeks in order to pay the claim.

This is…read morethe 2nd time my son has had braces.. the first company was in another state (put braces on several of our other children) and they were amazing. We are on round 2 of braces and our final leg whoo hoo!! When we first arrived we loved the office staff and the Dr. What a joy it was but over the past year it has turned into the most embarrassing and frustrating event. Aug 9, 2022 I payed half of the braces up front in the amount of $1,771.50. saying his father would pay the other half over payments: left contact information and all was agreed: I was told they would reach out to him setting everything up. (and YES dad has no issues with paying) Here is where the mess up started: Fishbein accidentally entered in the system that his dad would pay the rest of the bill up front. My second visit and everyone for the last year has been an issue which every time they say they have cleared up.....Let's get to why I am finally writing a review: Today, my son went to his appointment and when we checked out we were going to make another appointment but instead the receptionist decided infront of everyone in the room announce we can't make another appointment because of lack of payment on our account.....I was like I am confused so I called his dad he said he made $120.00 payment last thursday....so I am now so embarrassed because the lady now announced it to everyone that I have not payed and to find out this bill was payed last week I was confused. I asked how much was left on the bill? she said around 350.00 and he has a year left on his braces---I am in awe that this company has not privately dealt with this and in awe they received a payment last week with only 350.00 left on an over 10 months or more time frame he has on his braces. If I could do this over again I would NEVER come here again. I understand that mistakes are made but to continue to not fix them in a years time is crazy to me.....To not speak to a customer in private about billing issue is just unprofessional. To make matters worse the billing issue is not our fault.

They use some pretty advanced technology (in my experience) to provide x-rays, pictures and treatment plans all in a single interface that they use to explain what needs to be done. I also didn't feel pressured like some of the corporate dentists offices that dot the Pensacola area. Admittedly, Dr. Cole isn't proficient in dental insurance costs, but I'd say that's true for most professionals and why they have office staff. I came away with a true plan of action, appointments to make it happen and the prescriptions to help my painful situation in the meantime.
