First and freshest meal we had in Bergen! What a beautiful spot.. touristy yes but great place for a meal. Service was quick and they had some great entree options. I got the fish of the day and my husband got the salmon - both excellent!!! Loved every bite here. All meals in Norway are pricey but this meal is going to be worth it! Especially with the amazing view. Highly recommend

A tourist advised us that the food here was incredible so we checked it out for lunch. The price was $$$. We were seated outdoors, in a sunroom, which for us, was a bit challenging because it was a hot sunny day. We had the fish and chips, and I had the mussels. Mussels were good, but the sauce was quite creamy. Kids menu only item is the fish and chips, but you have to specify that in advance otherwise they give you the regular fish and chips and its related cost.

Really good food. Highly recommend the seafood salad that had a mix of shrimp, crawfish, roe, and salad. It was soooo good I ate it again 2 days later. Service was spot on. Recommend getting a reservation. They squeezed us in the first night. The location is on the harbor with good view even in the rain. Eat here. It's great.

Very good! A lot of collection and the waiter boy is really handsome, from French. Menu with pics

Enjoyed the fresh halibut, white wine and the outstanding views of the Bergen harbor from inside the dining room with glass walls and a glass ceiling!

The absolute freshest sushi we have ever had!!! We stopped by early in the day and asked if we could make a reservation for dinner. They gladly fit us in and even showed us the table we'd be sitting at that evening. It's covered outdoor seating so you don't need to worry about the birds and it was so nice to have a wonderful seafood dinner with a direct view of the water. The drinks were great too! The only place to go to the bathroom there is the tourist info center which is closed at night, so just be prepared to not use the bathroom if you go there to dine or drink at night!

Food was fantastic. Service was slow. Dessert of Crème brûlée was heavenly. A fine dining experience with delightful ambiance.

7/4/2024 - we ate here twice today. Ate the fish n chips and fish pasta. Also, grabbed 2 crab meats to go. Nice people. Biggest crabs I've ever seen. See photos. They have an enclosed seating area which will keep you dry if it is raining. Also, you can grab a chair and table inside if they are open. Worst case take the food to go and bring to your hotel room and eat in the lobby.

Great seafood varieties great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Enjoying our dinner, specialy fish n chips. Love it.

    Monk fish with roasted turnips

I ate here twice, the concierge/front desk at my hotel nearby recommended it. I had mixed experiences but the food was always delicious! Dinner 1: Appetizer -oysters, French and local. Main -I had the monk fish in a garlic butter oil with roasted vegetables. The oysters were fresh and briny, served with only lemon wedges. I preferred the ones from France, they had a little more flavor. My entree was so delicious, it was steamed perfectly and tasted just like Maine Lobster, yum! I have a newfound love for turnips, also cooked amazingly. The bill came to about $100 US. Dinner 2: Mixed greens salad and an entree of Wolf Fish, which I had never seen, heard of or had. But it looked interesting at their market. The salad was good, but mine are better. The main dish was fresh, juicy, very tasty! I don't know if I loved the Monk Fish or Wolf Fish better? This time I didn't order an appetizer, and no drinks. The bill was about $78 U.S. with tip. Wonderful views, great weather (unusually sunny and dry, went in May).

    Monkfish, cheesy shrimp, shrimp pasta

Service and the ambience are lovely here. Try reserving a table by the water in advance if you do go. It was expensive, as you'd expect in a center of a tourist area, but place had decent portion sizes. I was excited about trying some fish here but the monkfish we ordered was tough and uninteresting. The shrimp pasta was excellent as was the chocolate fondant. Nice place to eat, nothing particularly unique if you're a seafood lover.

Located at the center of the city, right next to the fish market. The seafood is so fresh here, I mean how can it not be, is right by the water. We have a reservation and we're seated promptly, the service came right a way and took our drinks and returned with them in 3 mins. To me that is very fast already. They also recommend some seafood to our party. The portions is enough for one people. They have an open seafood display inside the market. The dining room is full glass open area, you have the full view of the harbor, including the viewing of the famous rainbow color house across from the restaurant.

    Viking plate order
    Sheldon T.

The location is excellent as it is just right around the harbor and it allows inside seating in the chilly July. We ordered a so-called Viking plate as shown in the picture. The seafood is fresh and good. The 3 star comes from the price and amount. It cost about $200 for such small sized plate, which consists of a half lobster, a few crab legs and three oysters. The plate is intended for two people. But the amount is a bit short for two adult people unless you eat many breads.
