It's a very decent price for what you get, for fine dining. I was SO excited to hear that the tasting menu comes with 2 starters, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. First off, the outside of the restaurant is very unassuming. The signage is pretty basic and you can't really see what's inside. On the other hand, the interior is sleek and modern, very clean. The service is also top notch... they're all very personable and attentive. I felt so special here and it wasn't even my celebration (I came with a group of 7 for my sister's bachelorette) LOL. Onto the highlight, the fooood! For the tasting menu you don't know what you're going to get as it's not listed anywhere, likely because they change up the items so frequently based on what's in season and fresh. I won't go into full detail about all the items because everything was amazinnnng and this would be too long a review. In addition to the tasting menu, we also got a fresh oyster and delicious bread with sheep's milk cheese to kick off the meal.. it was such a pleasant surprise. When the servers bring each dish and explain what everything is, you can really tell that so much thought goes into each dish in terms of how the chef pairs all the flavours and best ingredients. The tomatoes in the salad starter for example, was picked that same morning. Every dish had so many components too -- for my picture captions, I put what I could remember. The flavours in each dish was so elevated, we were all literally spooning out every last drop everytime LOL. I loved the fact that the tasting menu came with 2 of each course because the variety was amazing... each of the two were so completely different from the other. This experience was incredible and so fun to try such good food! I would come here all the time if I could afford to but for now, can't wait until the next special occasion to come again!

This restaurant is unique for its serving style - if you order individual seafood, you eat with your hands from plastic bags. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that we were able to keep ourselves relatively clean. We ordered a pound of mussels with garlic sauce, crawfish with lemon pepper sauce, and a fish teriyaki dish with seafood assortment. I loved the garlic sauce, as it gave the mussels a great kick. I wouldn't recommend the crawfish, as they don't have much meat. I felt like I was just nibbling the shells for the sauce. However, the fish teriyaki was a solid choice. Overall, it was a filling and tasty meal, and it came out to less than $20 per person. With so few customers in the restaurant, service was relatively prompt, but I would recommend more frequent water refills, as the sauces were quite salty. We had to personally wave over the waitress in order to get water. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Captain's Boil if you enjoy seafood like I do. Glad they opened up in London!

The lobster grilled cheese was rich and indulgent in the best way. We finished with a classic cheesecake that rounded out the meal nicely. I stumbled on Riverside Fish Hut (thanks to YELP) and was impressed with the price for their family meals. Much less then anything I've seen around me so we went ahead and ordered for pickup. Located in a small plaza, the restaurant is very spacious for dine-in (a bit out-dated but does that really matter if the food is good?) and we were greeted and served quickly! I was a bit apprehensive whether the fish would be nicely sized and tasty given the amazing price for a family meal of 10 pieces and 4 fries but to my great surprise, they were perfect! About 3oz of fish each, the batter is light (not heavy and overpowering) and the fish was perfectly cooked, the fries were crispy and abundant (definitely more than 4 servings) and I also liked the gravy (which I got on the side). They even gave us an extra piece of fish (we got 11 pieces instead of 10!). So worth the 30 minute drive from Guelph! Highly recommend!
