This is the greasy spoon I was looking for! The staff was really friendly and there is ample parking. I know that when I'm craving a battered fish with fresh fries (make that a poutine plz) I will be coming to this little gem. We really enjoyed our meals here, the coleslaw was fresh and the fish was crispy (not crunchy) and the fries perfectly cooked. Awesome gravy!! The restaurant was clean as was the bathroom. Overall a great little spot !

Nice and fresh. Had some halibut and chips. Not overly battered or fluffy. Chips were crisp and you can tell the oil is changed regularly as it call came out that golden yellow. Fish was moist as well. They also gave out Heinz ketchup packets. Interior was nice and clean, busy with take out orders.

Really good fish and chips. Excellent prices, fast service, family run. Cole Slaw is good. Small place in a house.

Trio has nice moody interior. I wanted to like the food but was very disappointed. The best item…read morewas the focaccia which came on its own small skillet. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and lovely. Otherwise the entrees were a complete miss. The sea bass was prepared well but sat on a brown mash that looked like black bean slurry and underwhelming. The risotto was a decent portion and cooked properly but flavorless. I'm glad I didn't try the tasting menu which was more expensive! This was intended to be our "nice dinner" for our trip and I would not recommend!

Perfection and 5's across the board for me... everything was on point from food (my favourite part)…read moreto service, overall experience and atmosphere. It's a very decent price for what you get, for fine dining. I was SO excited to hear that the tasting menu comes with 2 starters, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. First off, the outside of the restaurant is very unassuming. The signage is pretty basic and you can't really see what's inside. On the other hand, the interior is sleek and modern, very clean. The service is also top notch... they're all very personable and attentive. I felt so special here and it wasn't even my celebration (I came with a group of 7 for my sister's bachelorette) LOL. Onto the highlight, the fooood! For the tasting menu you don't know what you're going to get as it's not listed anywhere, likely because they change up the items so frequently based on what's in season and fresh. I won't go into full detail about all the items because everything was amazinnnng and this would be too long a review. In addition to the tasting menu, we also got a fresh oyster and delicious bread with sheep's milk cheese to kick off the meal.. it was such a pleasant surprise. When the servers bring each dish and explain what everything is, you can really tell that so much thought goes into each dish in terms of how the chef pairs all the flavours and best ingredients. The tomatoes in the salad starter for example, was picked that same morning. Every dish had so many components too -- for my picture captions, I put what I could remember. The flavours in each dish was so elevated, we were all literally spooning out every last drop everytime LOL. I loved the fact that the tasting menu came with 2 of each course because the variety was amazing... each of the two were so completely different from the other. This experience was incredible and so fun to try such good food! I would come here all the time if I could afford to but for now, can't wait until the next special occasion to come again!

Not great. The lineups were long and the buffet isn't situated in a large enough area. You feel like you're on top of the person in front and behind you. The salad selection was ok but nothing stood out as really tasty. In fact, the shrimps were water logged and really crappy. They claim they have 16 feet of desserts. You'd think, "that's a lot of desserts." Nope. They take all the pies and cut them into slices, place them on plates and lay it on a table. So, it's 16 feet of plates. It was hard to get coffee and refills of water as the staff were never around to do so. They were good about clearly plates though. It's an old, tired looking restaurant. Many rooms and no "flow". Just seems odd. I would not return. The cost/value ratio is off the charts.

The restaurant has seating to accommodate pretty much any sort of gathering down to couples. Tables are well appointed with fine linens. We both had the seafood platter and the calamari for an appetizer. Dinners come with an open salad bar and soup of the day. Although a bit old school having the salad bar was vastly superior to the lackluster salads you get from most steakhouses including the keg and the Charcoal Steakhouse locally. The preparation of the seafood was on point with scollops, shrimp, and lobster tails being perfectly seasoned. Cocktails ordered were prepared from scratch without the use of off the shelf cocktail mixes. The only negative comment I would have is that our appetizer came to the table at the same time we were having the soup and salad so the table was a bit crowded and we felt a bit rushed. But all in all I would highly recommend. Will return to sample more of their menu.

This restaurant is unique for its serving style - if you order individual seafood, you eat with your hands from plastic bags. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that we were able to keep ourselves relatively clean. We ordered a pound of mussels with garlic sauce, crawfish with lemon pepper sauce, and a fish teriyaki dish with seafood assortment. I loved the garlic sauce, as it gave the mussels a great kick. I wouldn't recommend the crawfish, as they don't have much meat. I felt like I was just nibbling the shells for the sauce. However, the fish teriyaki was a solid choice. Overall, it was a filling and tasty meal, and it came out to less than $20 per person. With so few customers in the restaurant, service was relatively prompt, but I would recommend more frequent water refills, as the sauces were quite salty. We had to personally wave over the waitress in order to get water. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Captain's Boil if you enjoy seafood like I do. Glad they opened up in London!
