We added Fish By Moonlight to our Great Ocean Road drive itinerary after seeing it on one of Marc Weins Australia videos.
The parking lot was shared with other shops and got busy at lunchtime. We had to circle around until a spot opened up.
The menu was simple: fish, chips and sides. Special were posted separately.
We tried the fish grilled and fried. All fish portions were generous in size and filling for the family.
The flake and blue grenadier were fried but the batter was airy and light on the outside and moist inside. The tartar sauce, $2 additional, was very tasty. The barramundi was a thinner fish but still delicious grilled. The fries were crisp and plentiful.
The owners was very friendly and patient as we took some time to decide. Highly recommend stopping here to get your fish and chips on the GOR. read more
